Someday I will see a show on Broadway. I presume quite a few on here have done so. We've never managed it. (In fact, I've never been to NYC unless you could JFK airport).

I was trying to convice SWMBO to go see a show when she is in NYC in April, but she's trying to get out of going altogether (since it is a work-thing, not a play-thing).

I assume the Fox is a nice place to see a show. I love those old movie houses -- we used to always go to Broadway shows at the Fox in Atlanta. But that was before we had kids. Now, the closest we get to a show is "Princesses on Ice."

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Yeah, we have that to look forward to! :woohoo:
We went to NYC a couple of years ago on a trip Jen won from a radio station...it was for the premier of Bewitched, the movie. It was an extreme marathon trip (flew in on Saturday night, flew out on Tuesday morning.)
Thanks to the extraordinary mass-transit system in NYC, we were able to do LOTS of things on that trip (Aside from the actual premier and the afterparty during which we got to meet Will Farrell!! He's a really nice guy BTW!! We have pictures!! :lmao: )...
Made it to Central Park, the Guggenheim, Empire State Bldg, Times Square, The Village, and the Statue of Liberty. AND Puerto Rican Day fell on that same weekend too, so we got to experience that as well!! A Broadway show was the one thing we really wanted to do but just couldn't squeeze in...So we said "Next time!" Hopefully there will be a next time! :thumbsup2

And, it is suppossed to get colder in Florida this weekend. My husband and son are running in the Gaspirilla (Tampa) Marathon this weekend. They had to make sure they had warm enough clothes for the run (or more precisely, during the wait for the run to start).
Oh I love Gasparilla!!
For those who don't know...it's a huge pirate: festival in Tampa.
We lived between St. Pete & Bradenton for 3 years (in Parrish - with the outlet mall and the cows).

Q. How can you tell that you have spent to much time on this thread?

Hey! You are my neighbor on the ship (I am 2538) and we have the above in common. We have been "together" for almost 18 years and married for 6 years. Will be 7 in October.

hey neighbor!!!:wave2:

we have been "together" for 24 years last month - and married 15 yrs lat Sept!!!!:) just doesn't seem fair to discount all those other years!!!

I know we already had the 'who drinks what' conversation a few thousand posts back, but I just wanted to say I'd rather drink sewer water than Pepsi. Wait a minute -- Pepsi WAS the one with the "brown and bubbly" advertising campaign. Hmmm...

ITA :thumbsup2 It always throws waiters for a loop when I don't realize I am in a Pepsi place and order a Coke - as they are writing it down they mumble "Is Pepsi, OK?" The always seem surprised when I say "No". Pepsi is NOT OK!

I've discovered that the best way around this is to always order wine or beer!

awesome!!!! :thumbsup2 I love it when people rescue rather than go to a pet store. The pets that have "found" us are just the best!!! Congrats on the new addition to your family!!!!!:)

Okay, I have to admit that the only thing I saw when reading this post was the word GAS and we all know what the first thing that came to mind was, right? (Where's a farting smilie when you need one?)

Okay, back to work for me. Getting ready for a trip IS work! Changing sheets and cleaning the bathroom, etc, for the dog sitter....finishing the packing, making sure we have all the tickets, banking done, gas in car....sheesh.......I bet I sleep on the plane, and for me, THAT'S something!
That's me, a nervous flier!

And look, I found Capt Jack...out playing around....

Have a GREAT trip!

I think I mentioned this before. I read on another thread months ago where the cruisers were trying to get water shipped to the port. They ordered it from Staples who shipped for free but then suddenly all the orders were cancelled as I think the warehouse wouldn't accept the water?I think we need to find out where we can ship to at the port and whether they will accept packages.

that was the week before our Halloween cruise - they changed the policy!!! It was a mess, some peoples orders got through - some did not. I was glad I procrastinated on ordering and we ended up buying it on the way to port!

I have always wanted to celebrate our dating anniversary - (or at least engagement anniversary) - there were alot of years there (8) that I wish we could count..we were really "together" and committed to each other....just not legally!:)

I've been "with" my spouse for 22 years (since 1st date)... and been "with" no one else the whole time. However, we've only been married about 12 years, 157 and a half days. It took me 8 years to get around to washin' dishes and askin' for her hand... <chuckles> ... well... some of the delay was on account of my stopping everything I was doing to help take care of my Mom and run the family business ...

So ... we're used to the idea of long years where we were happily together and possibly "living in sin" ... so they say... :confused3

I've got a few minutes here before I have to run my spouse to the airport... and I'm loading up on left overs to save a couple bucks from buying lunch. Gotta find a few little places where I can save a buck to pay for gratuities on our 2008 voyage! <chuckles>

Okay, I'm caught up again, I need to get more work done. DH is back in the office. I'll check back in later tonight.
Bye for now.
