Yeah...:sad2:

Oh, and I also forgot to add (in case it wasn't already bad enough) that he asked if he could use MY credit card to order jewelry for his "girlfriend", and he would give me cash!!!!
(Because he didn't want the lawyers to see on his credit card statement that he ordered jewelry from Tiffany's. :sad2: )

Needless to say, I promptly replied "NO!".

You should tell him to "Fluff off!"

Just spoke to DW a little while ago. She has been on and off a plane at Phil. Int'l for the last 7 hours. As of now, they're on the plane, waiting in a long line to be de-iced. Could take them a few more hours to take off. Or, it could take them a few more hours to decide to cancel the flight and send everyone home.

She's heading to San Diego for a big meeting that she is largely responsible for. I guess her boss, who went out a day earlier to do a site visit in San Fransisco will have to run the meeting if DW can't get there. That would actually be really fun to see!:rolleyes1

Goodness what a PIA! :grouphug: She is going to be worn out once she gets there. Are they giving them anything to eat...or is that expecting too much?

Last year passengers were stuck on a Virgin Atlantic airplane on the runway at Gatwick for 7 HOURS!!! They were only given 2 glasses of water each because the incident happened 2 weeks after the 8/10 "liquid bomb" fiasco where they banned all liquids (including, at the time, carried-on water for baby formula )! Well of course people got irate and to make matters worse, when the plane finally was returned to a gate, Virgin called the police because of fears that the passengers would be confrontational!

Andy, I'm so glad you're heat is back on! Talk about a really bad time for power to go out! :scared1:

It's been mighty cold here today but we didn't get snow flurries like they said we would and fortunately no moisture so no sleet/ice/etc. Thank goodness!

I didn't try a drink until after my 21st bday. I have always been a cheap date since half a wine cooler or a weak rum punch is my limit. There is only one beer that I think tastes good...and I can't remember what it is. LOL! It has been so long since DH has had it. He drinks Corona now. I do know that we picked it up in Canada.

You sound like me... which is why all the wine cooler things from our May/June cruise are still in my fridge. The only difference is DH doesn't really drink but when he does, it's usually Coors light.

There was something else I was going to say but now after all these pages of catching up, I totally forgot! LOL

I LOVE that movie!!! It's one of my favorites!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

WELCOME BACK ANDY!!!! Maybe do some jumping jacks until the house warms up all the way! :yay: ;)

If I started doing jumping jacks in the house, I think the roof would cave in on top of us.....:rotfl2:

OK, I have to go and pick Angelina up from her friend's house. I'll check in when I get back so I can finish getting caught up on the last few pages.

Oh yeah, I 'member now! I was going to say
HI STACIE! GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN!
:woohoo:

I can see it now Andy, you will get back from getting Angelina, and get caught up reading the pages you missed and will totally miss the 21K pirate: . :lmao:

Yeah, we will have to pretend that we are looking at our pc screens!:surfweb: If someone talks too slow I will try to resist the urge to hit them upside the head like I do my pc, not knowing if it's my pc slowing down or the boards! LOL!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Note to Self: talkreallyreallyfastaroundTinaMduringthecruise OR wear a helmet.

You're just trying to make sure there are enough swabbies around!

Just talked to her again. After 12 hours at the airport, they finally decided to cancel her flight. The earliest they can get her on another one is Sat. morning. Only problem is that her return flight leaves SanDiego at 10:30 AM Sat morning.

She's been waiting for her luggage now for about an hour. At first, they weren't even going to unload their luggage. They were going to send their luggage to Ca, let it go unclaimed, then ship it back home and deliver it to the house sometime next week. Gotta love the airlines.

At least she's safe and should be home soon.

I don't think I'm allowed to post the link, but did everyone see the "Disney Dream Job" Contest on one of the big on-line job search sites? You submit a short video & they are going to select winners to actually spend the day doing that job at WDW.

:tink: I had visions of rigging a zip line in my backyard for a Tinkerbell audition, but you have to pick one of the jobs from their list. Pirate is on the list though - hey Todd, maybe you need to shoot that ironing tutorial video early! pirate:

Unbelievable. They knew they were going to cancel the flights, so why not just go ahead and do it.

I suppose they know we have no choice.

Makes you wonder WHAT people are thinking with.

With all the snow excitment, I forgot to tell you about what happened at work.

Some folks wanted to get invovled with the Relay for Life and had a little meeting about it for those who were interested. They had breakfast goodies, so what the heck, I went. ;)

Anyway, we're sitting there, they do their little speil, a former co-worker who survived breast cancer and had retired in September came back to talk about the ACS and relay for life. One of our other co-workers passed away last summer after suffering from cancer for a long time. In the end, we all thought it would be a good way to honor her and decided to try to get a group together to do it. :thumbsup2

Then, one of the people who came up with this bright idea got up and said "OH and we forgot. This year this is a theme to the walk. 'Let's make Cancer walk the plank!' It's a pirate theme!!" It got dead silent and, no kidding, everyone in the room turned around and looked at me! :confused3 I have no clue what all that's about! ;)

Glad to hear your DW is safe.

The airlines are Idiots. If the plane is not flying, why leave the bags on it. They will need that plane for a flight tomorrow. Where are the bags for that flight going to go?

Also, what happen to matching passengers with checked luggage? Thought that was mandatory after 9/11, just like for international flights. No passenger, bag doesn't go.
