Hi everyone!

Family and I are cruising and looking for a few hundred friends :yay:

I tried to jump in when this thread was still under a thousand pages but couldn't find any responses so i gave up..lol

At the risk of being redundant cause I can't remember what I posted I am reintroducing myself and my family.

Crusing will be DH and I with our 2 DDs ages 4 and 13 at cruising time:banana: Would love for DD to hook up with someone her age before hand. DD (12) is a serious student and bit if a tomboy. Other DD is a disney fanatic already and just loves everything disney (takes after her Mama.lol).
Along for the ride is my Mom. This will be our 2nd panama crossing with Disney and can't wait to do it all over again.

Now, if i can only keep up with you guys....

Mary

DS is SO easy!!! Take a pair of jeans out of the drawer, grab underwear & socks, grab a striped shirt out of the closet...he's done! Neither of them are brand named brainwashed yet so I am lucky there.

My ds's style of dressing? Whatever is on top.....

My dd is another story. She is very into fashion....

Welcome, Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITA!!! For her 5th b-day my DD got a Sponge Bob Barbie wearing low riders and a midrift. DD brought it to me because she said that it was broken. I asked her what she meant and she said the obviously somebody made a mistake because her clothes were too small. :rotfl: Bratz are not allowed in this house either. Now, if we can just nip the American Girl thing in the bud we'd be in good shape!:rotfl:

See now....I do like American Girl dolls. I think they are innocent looking, dress is appropriate, and I love the stories that go along with them. They teach history, tolerance/acceptance, and empowerment of young girls.

Good Morning All

The DCL site is showing availability for Cat 6, 8, & 9 this morning!

We are off to WDW for our midwinter break (Just in time as a storm is fast approaching)! :cool1:

I will try to keep up-to date but since this thread is so prolific (alot of posting about alot of nothing) I will read the synopses instead!:rotfl: :wizard:

Robert (AKA Captain Slacker)

All gone now

They are just so darned expensive! DD4 got to go to the store last year for her birthday and was angling to go again but we had to say no. She does love her doll though. Lucikly, you can buy dresses at Wal-Mart that fit well enough and she doesn't care as long as they are pretty.

Another New Yorker!!!! My name is Julie, by the way . . . Belle and Linus are my dogs . . .

Just don't sing the small world song . . . I will get infected and not be able to get it out of my head all day!

Same for my DS. He has four or five t-shirts that he wears and 500 in a drawer. And he has no sense for coordination. Those who were on the 10-day HC will recall me describing his 'fashion sense' as looking like he is dressing for the golf course. (What do you mean vertical lime green stripes don't go with plaid, Dad?)

Good Morning everyone! Waiting for the s*** to come. We are suppose to get anywhere from 3" to 9" today. Uck! :scared: We only have 9 more days till we leave for WDW and cruise. I think I'll survive.

We turned down the wrong row and she said Mommy I don't want to see the bratz dolls. They are inappropriate. A woman nearby said that she wished her DD said that.

My dd knows that I don't like those dolls, so she tells me she doesn't like them either....I think they look 'post-surgical'. And I hate the whole concept that they are 'spoiled brats'...hense the name Bratz.....Just what we want to do is create the next generation of stars for MTV's Sweet Sixteen show.....Have you seen this? It is down right disgusting!!

I can't stand them either, but dd has gotten a couple for gifts, so I don't make a big deal out of it. She really doesn't play with them that much. She has a stuffed animal that she is really attached to, so most of the time she plays with that. She has Barbies too, but has never really been into dolls.

Happy Birthday Katie and Joel

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL

Happy Birthday Katie

Happy Birthday, Katie!

Happy Birthday, Joel

Actually, it's just Katie's Birthday today (My DD). She is 6 today and she has a SNOW day because of the 9-12" expected today. :cool1: :woohoo:

I showed her the warm birthday wishes. Thanks!

in total agreement here - no Bratz dolls!!! DD got one as a gift - didn't make her return it, but we won't be buying anything to go with her either!!!! Glad she is into Littlest pets!!!!

OMGoodness.....that is what my dd is into too!!!! And all of her friends at school love them as well. They all bring a few pets from home and play together at recess.

Please explain what these 'littlest pests' things are. I need to know so I can steer DD away from them. She does not need another toy obsession.

Same here with the bratz dolls. DD got a few as gifts and I didn't make an issue of them, she's not really into them but takes them out once in a blue moon.
