Good Morning Everyone:surfweb:

Hope everyone stays warm today!

MR - I hope your daughter:sick: is feeling better.

We here in Williamsburg, VA are bracing on getting another cold snap (20 degrees) Everyone panics down here and all the grocery shelfs are empty. If we get one to two inches of snow everything closes down. I along with several others beings from the Central New York area and the northeast (I am from Syracuse, NY right smack in the middle of lake effect area, just south of Fulton, Mexico and Redfield(who now holds the record of 12' of snow in one week and is expecting another 2' by tomorrow am).

Reenieny18(my sister:hug: ) in North Syracuse lost heat last night I hope you get it back soon!

Andy - keep warm today (I am sure hot chocolate will be waiting for you when you get home today.)

Lisa - once again you are doing a great job.:cheer2:

To everyone who answered my question regarding where to stay in CA before the cruise. Thanks for all the information. I know I can depend on my fellow disers for info. I can't wait to meet you all.:grouphug:

Stay warm today and talk to you later!!!

we spent a few years in Laurel, MD and got a kick out of the responses to snow down there..people really do panic!!!! DH saw people abandon their cars in the middle of the parkway and walk away..in snow that we wouldn't even think twice about...!!!! A snow day is always welcome - but sometimes we would be like "I can't believe we get to stay home because of this"!!!

Waiting to see how the snow goes tonight - DD wants another snow day..I just want DH to make his flight from DC and drive home tonight!!! As I already mentioned - I don't use the snow blower!!!!!:)

sorry to hear Doreen was without power - nothing on the news - hope it has been back on well before now!!!!:)

The scales are for weighing their balls before the match to be sure they are regulation.

:lmao: :lmao:
Hey now, no one told me there would be weighing of balls. And what exactly would regulation be? :confused3 :rotfl:

Wow it's windy out here today... and they say we may have snow tomorrow! Just for those that don't know- we're talking TEXAS here people! this winter has been a cold one for us... late, but cold.

Diznyfan68- really I'd rather he didn't. Me no likey the fishy wishies.

My DD got one of those huge bratz doll heads for christmas. It has now officially taken up residence in my outer hallway outside of our apartment (we have a 2 family home). I'll double check with DD but if anyone wants it, please let me know. It is brand new (out of the box) but i think the make up is gone.:confused3

Let me know.

Mary

Maybe my niece took the makeup.:rotfl:

I brought that huge head for my niece for christmas.

My body would probably be there too...I've worried more than once that an attempt at humor may offend someone. So far, assuming there are no Amish on the ship, I think I'm ok.:duck:

I think it's safe to assume that therre are indeed, no Amish on board the ship.:lmao:

Good Morning All

The DCL site is showing availability for Cat 6, 8, & 9 this morning!

We are off to WDW for our midwinter break (Just in time as a storm is fast approaching)! :cool1:

I will try to keep up-to date but since this thread is so prolific (alot of posting about alot of nothing) I will read the synopses instead!:rotfl: :wizard:

Robert (AKA Captain Slacker)

:wizard: Have a magical trip!!!!!:wizard:

Morning everyone :coffee: I've been lurking a bit, but haven't had much time to post. Had a busy weekend and then they actually made me WORK at work yesterday  Thank you to everyone that offered up d-day wishes on Saturday ... looks like I'm in darn good company with Lisa and Alan sharing my b-day :grouphug:

I should be around throughout the day today as we gear up for our first "real" snow storm of the year tomorrow. I'm certain that school will be cancelled and my youngest DS will be totally unhappy ... the child has been begging for snow all year, but tomorrow is his Valentine's Party at school AND it's pajama day :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

Family and I are cruising and looking for a few hundred friends :yay:

I tried to jump in when this thread was still under a thousand pages but couldn't find any responses so i gave up..lol

At the risk of being redundant cause I can't remember what I posted I am reintroducing myself and my family.

Crusing will be DH and I with our 2 DDs ages 4 and 13 at cruising time:banana: Would love for DD to hook up with someone her age before hand. DD (12) is a serious student and bit if a tomboy. Other DD is a disney fanatic already and just loves everything disney (takes after her Mama.lol).
Along for the ride is my Mom. This will be our 2nd panama crossing with Disney and can't wait to do it all over again.

Now, if i can only keep up with you guys....

Mary

pirate: WELCOME ABOARD!!!!pirate:

OMG!

Are you serious? I know the local McDs was a corporate store - as I used to talk to the manager about franchise stories and such... but they're gonna make them ... UPSCALE? Oh my... I can just SMELL the french fires again... and such a shame - it's almost time for those green Shamrock shakes too... I'm gonna have to drive to get my "green fix" in another month or so.

But when they reopen... it'll be a nice cozy new layout... maybe I can find an image to google...

Here is an image from a NY McD with supossedly the new "look"

I just HAD to post an image of some fires for myself.

They updated our little McD's here a couple years ago. Even the bathrooms are very nice with large tiles on the walls. There are two flat screen TVs in the dining area with the one in the kid's section showing Noggin.

It is snowing here for now. They say it will turn to a wintery mix by noon, then rain by this evening. Poor kids, they just want a chance to play in the snow.

Everyone keep safe!

We haven't started yet - it's supposed to around 5, and we are forecasted to get up to 18 inches before the change-over to sleet/freezing rain/ice tomorrow and then back to snow.

First thing I did this morning was corner my boss before he left for Toy Fair was to confirm the snow-closing policy and get the info out to everyone here (we have 24 employees total with 9 of them at ToyFair this week) so that everyone is prepared for tomorrow. I also told my boss that I probably won't be in tomorrow if we have 6 or more inches by morning. I can work from home, I'm able to remote in to my computer here but it means I have to plan ahead and bring stuff home with me also.

I'm not Andrew, but on the 05 PC cruise we didnt tender, but then again we have 2 different ports on this one. We also didnt get to stop in Cabo due to Hurricane Hilary.

Thanks for the info - I had read somewhere, I think, that Cabo was a tendering port.

See now....I do like American Girl dolls. I think they are innocent looking, dress is appropriate, and I love the stories that go along with them. They teach history, tolerance/acceptance, and empowerment of young girls.

:thumbsup2

I love the American Girl dolls too! DD likes the idea of having them, but she rarely plays with them, so I am usually torn on whether or not to buy anything more. She likes to change the outfit and put her back in her stand, but that's it. MAybe that's enough for her. There is also Carpatina...they are affiliated with AG somehow and make nice outfits that fit the AG dolls.

The traditional McDonald's yellow and red colors will remain, but the red will be muted to terra cotta and olive and sage green will be added to the mix. To warm up their look, the restaurants will have less plastic and more brick and wood, with modern hanging lights to produce a softer glow.

This is what our McD's looks like now.

My dd knows that I don't like those dolls, so she tells me she doesn't like them either....I think they look 'post-surgical'. And I hate the whole concept that they are 'spoiled brats'...hense the name Bratz.....Just what we want to do is create the next generation of stars for MTV's Sweet Sixteen show.....Have you seen this? It is down right disgusting!!

Oh, I HATE that show! I've never wanted to slap a bunch of spoiled brats more in my life! I'm sorry, I'm not one to advocate corporal punishment, but what these girls need is a good you know what! And the worst part is, is that they will go through life doing the same things and get what they want to the exlusion of everyone else's needs.

I'm certain that school will be cancelled and my youngest DS will be totally unhappy ... the child has been begging for snow all year, but tomorrow is his Valentine's Party at school AND it's pajama day :rotfl2: ~Kandi

My class is having a candy apple sale tomorrow to raise money for graduation.
Between that and our Valentine's Day Party, my students will be crushed if we have a snow day.:sad1:
