Anyone know if the DL area hotels offer shuttle/tour packages to the other area attractions?

I'm thinking of skipping the LA tour and going with another theme park (Magic Moutain:confused3 )Sea World, or the San Diego Zoo.

Magic Mountain may be closed by the time we get there for this cruise ...They are thinking the land is more valuable for houses then a theme park ...

Oh no! Poor baby girl.... I hope she's feeling good enough to go to school. I know what you mean about you wouldn't know what to do if you had a regular noneventful morning, day, afternoon, evening, night. :lmao: Boy do I.

I took her in at 9:30. She was just on the couch letting her skin air and be doused with the lotion watching Dora. She wanted to go to school. They get their homework on Friday and it is due the next Friday. It is only a few sheets of math & spelling work. The rule of 20 minutes for 1st grade means that they had to send home permission slips to give the kids anything else in addition to the 20 minutes of reading they are suppose to do every night. :sad2: Anyhow, she sat down Saturday afternoon before we went to dinner & did all of it. She wanted to show her teacher that it was done & she wanted more! She ate breakfast & said that she didn't feel sick at all ... so off to school she went.

It does look pretty awesome...that 70mph launch in the tunnel and then the heartline roll just feet over the ground/lake really look exciting.

Hmmm....a "Dis" meet at Cedar Point may need to be in the works.:rotfl:

LOL!! I was thinking the same thing.....we can mention it to CBJHockeynut as well. And of course anyone else that would like to join in! BTW....Nicholas, if you are back.....how was your cruise? You picked a great week to take the kids out of school. They didn't miss much!

But I do believe her! I think a large number of rooms were sold at GTY. I also think this is unfair to put us into this position. Now on when and if they will assign rooms? Your guess is as good as mine.:confused3

You know, the more I think about this whole room thing, I keep coming up with various ideas. My current one is that DCL is assigning a small number of staterooms everyday until they reach their normal threshold for GTY status. I don't think that there is any rhyme to reason to who is getting assigned (DCL vs TA, first vs. last) it is more luck of the draw.

Nobody walks in Texas either... everything is too far away! In fact where I live, everything is so far away we don't even have public transportation... you must own a vehicle if you want to get anywhere. :rotfl:

Esteri, DH could be your dive buddy unless you'd prefer a diving wench. LOL He's dive and rescue certified too... so atleast you'd be safe! :)

You know, my DSF used to say "Why walk when you can drive" - he even said that when we lived Queens and plenty of public transportation. Here in Kingston we do have a few buses but they are few and far between. I couldn't get anywhere without my car.

I swear! If we ever have a regular noneventful morning I don't think that I would know what to do. Last night when I went up to bed I smelled something upstairs. I checked DS and his bed was clean so I moved DD to her bed and went to sleep. At 2:30 she woke me up saying that she needed help wiping her butt. Apparently she slept very soundly and woke up a couple hours later with a mess. I had to go get her diaper rash ointment this morning since I don't keep it around anymore. I am letting her get some relief before she goes to school. She doesn't feel sick and there is no fever so I am just guessing she was finally going to sleep thru the night. :(

Lisa, it sounds like you need lots of :grouphug: for you and the little ones.

Oy... is Rugby a "high impact" sport? uhoh....

The Volly ball game will be more high impact than the rugby game. It's touch rugby no tackling and we're on the sand.

It's going to be the last day of a 14 day cruise do ya think anyone but Davids son would be ready for high impact.

Wow - she want's MORE homework? That's amazing!

Thanks Bellinus & GoofyontheSeas for the DL info! :thumbsup2

Lisa--

I hope tomorrow is an easier day for you & the kids!

Going to pass this on to DH, see if he's interested. He used to play unorganized Rugby in college (just a bunch of the guys and drinks). I have a friend from college who used to live in HB, Bch 131st St, her family still lives there. It is right where that plane crashed after 9/11, the house behind her and next door burned to the ground, they were very lucky.

Debi

Great, we'll sign him up. Remember touch only. No high impact tackling.

Okay the comments about rugby have me a bit scared to let my Jeffrey participate! He's not that spry anymore- we don't need an injured "daddy-man" (another nickname).
:scared1:

Please, like I said the Volly ball game will be more physical than this rugby game. It's rugby 7's. Which is the summer version of rugby. That means 7 min. halfs. 14 min total playing time. We can do it. No tackling.

But if your concerned I understand. We'll have a practice session on the sports deck during a sea day. If he's ok with it then maybe he'll like it.
