That's kind of odd... your "status" light in the lower left corner is dark - suggesting you're not on line - but clearly you seem to be on-line with us?

i'm not sure what you're talking about the "status" light...

oh...i don't know why it's not green! i think mine is red! whatever that means!

If you go into your CP, you'll notice that you are able turn your status light off or on. My light is always off. When you see it, it's blue, to me it's red. I'm the only one that will see that it's red. That's to remind me how I have it set. If I switch the setting, when I'm logged on, it will be green.

Morning all! It's a down right balmy 23 here.

Andy, your daughter is a better woman than I. I'm trying to convince myself to go swim ths morning. Or, I could stay in my jammies and catch up with the thouands of posts.

I got my invoice from my TA last night. YEA!!!!!! I'm hoping that I get a room assignment soon. I still haven't told anyone I'm going on this little jaunt, considering I also have a reservation on the 01Nov Western.

... I believe it was just after 1:07AM last nite when .... "WACK" .... this happened ... (please refer to the 1st image here):

Until I posted at 4:42AM this morning. I got 3, hours and 25 minutes of rest. Not my usual by any means but it does represent ONE rem cycle. I did recollect dreaming. And you know I won't last the day with one cycle so I'll drop off in a bit...

"Caught up" is a relative term on this thread, isn't it. It changes by the second. I've already posted more here in a little over a week than I did in all of of time (over 7 months) for my last cruise.

Again, I need to get a life.

It took me 76 days on the Southern 11 nite thread too post 1000 contributions. And here ... I'll probably do it in less then a month! I think I'm over 800 now (caught Lorri since she jack-rabbit skipped ahead of me by 50!)... and then I think I'll settle down a little.

THis pace is not even taking much time from my days?

Okay so what types of food do they usually serve at topsiders if you eat dinner there? Is it all junk type food like pizza, chicken nuggets, etc?

On the Holiday Cruise, Topsiders was a sit down, order off a menu type restaurant in the evening. It was no longer buffet for dinner, although one side was open for kid's club only & was buffet(if I recall correctly). I did not try is, but one our fellow DISers ate there just about every night and said it was quite good.

You know what...

... this is along the lines of what I was thinking ... among other things. My daughter is active in sports - so that is covered. But as I grew up I had no opportunities to learn an instrument. I would have LIKED that if I could turn back the hands of time ... as I am not as atheletic as I used to be (cough - cough)....

I hope the lessons go OK tomorrow. I am trying out a 10 week sit down at a music store / school of sorts. It is cheap. Then later I was thinking of doing in house lessons or somethihng along the lines of the next logical progression ...

That sounds like a good plan. I do like the warm and loving atmosphere of the home lessons. His teacher also rents space out each spring at a piano store near us and the kids have a spring recital in the store's theatre space. That is the only chance ds gets each year to play on a Steinway grand piano....so he sounds extra good that day. We also have an acoustic piano at home......but it's not Steinway.

Ok, all caught up. Have to get DD4 and DS10 off to gymnastics in a few minutes, then SWMBO has to take DD13 to a swim meet, so maybe I'll be on this afternoon. Don't talk too much.

How did you get out with the menus?

The first night I asked if I could have a copy of the menu for the evening. Our servers asked the head server who came over and talked with me. I asked him if there was anyway I could get a copy of each of the menus for the entire week. He said he would get them for me on the last night. I had been thinking a xerox copy or something. They handed me the entire menu for each night! (So I have the beautiful Animator's Palette cover, too.) I even got the Palo's menu, although they did take the cover off of that one. The menus are all a bit beat up, but I don't mind.
