OY BOY!!!
I don't get this idea either. :sad2: I am trying to break them of this bad habit. Of course just when they are getting over it....it is time for the next cruise.
Amen, sistah!
What I don't get is WHEN are they going to get it? I mean how many times do I have to tell them that they don't get dessert after every meal and they certainly aren't going to get dessert really late at night before they STOP ASKING FOR DESSERT? I mean give it up kids, I'm way more stubborn than you'll ever be. I have more stubborn in my little pinky than your whole body, little person, so give it up. LOL

90/60 sounds about what mine usually is.

Hey Crew!

I found a source with about 560 pirate jokes! I figure that's just about enough to get us from here to there.

So here we go - our very first

Pirate Joke Of The Day...

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
How do you know you are a Pirate?

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
You don't, you just ARRRRRRRRGH!
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
(I never promised they'd be good!)

BTW, I've given up on trying to read all these posts. I'll just have to catch up as I can with the summaries. Knock me over the head or tie me to the mast if I get something wrong.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What a great idea......a pirate joke everyday!

I stopped getting my migraines a few years back after the hot flashes started. I think also with women, it's a hormonal thing as well. My deskmate has terrible ones and misses work very often. Since we have had these cold fronts coming thru Orlando, she has been really distressed. My DHs knee is bad, my bestfriend at work has been hobbling and alot of our teeam have been complaining of headaches lately. I wonder if the weather could be a trigger as well?
My DD uses that roll on stuff and says that does help abit. Everyone has a different tolerance and it's true. Unless you get them, you don't know what they feel like. I used to get the spots and had to miss the last day of HS due to one. My trigger was lights. Bright sunshine and headlights at night.

Yet another warm welcome, thank you and to everyone else too.

Hmmm, a little bit about me and my group, I'm 32 and I'm an IT consultant, travelling in my group is my partner Robert who is also 32 and a librarian and finally my Mum who is 60ish and doesn't look a day over 90 :rotfl2:

It'll be our 3rd Disney cruise, so we are also Castaway Club members, we are also DVC members as we LOVE disney.

I'm far to lazy to post pictures and these people have already done the work for me :) http://www.christchurch.org.nz/PhotoGallery/

LOL!!!!!!!!

I used to only let them watch either Disney channel but lately they keep sneaking in nickelodean (mostly spongebob and some avatar nonsense)

I used to like watching Raven but it's never on anymore?!? and now we end up with Full House on. I liked it the first time but I was much younger then... LOL

Avatar is on PBS...great show. I watch it with the kids and they can actually learn some things from that one. I know that the idea is fiction but when they see ancient ruins or deal with a difficult situation, it opens the conversation to history or what the kids would do if they were in that situation. We don't get Disney...doesn't come in here. The kids watch PBS TLC kid's (Hi-5), or Nick Jr. They can't watch many of the Nick shows. SB is outlawed in this house. I can't stand whiney kids so I will NOT listen to a whiney show. UGH!

It really depends on the kid. DS lost his first tooth on CC 12/05 when he was 7y 1m. Lost his second NYE at GM's. Nothing has come out since. DD lost her first tooth 6/06 at 5y 10 mo and the second a week later. Nothing else since. Her 6 year molars started coming in when she was 5. DS's are just coming in and he is 8. He is going to be majorly bummed if DD loses her 3rd tooth before he does. :sad2:

Aww, my son would be upset if Rita lost more before him too (because he's just competitive that way- even about things that make no sense or can't be controlled. *sigh*) but I don't think he has to worry about it... who knows when Rita will lose a tooth.

I can't believe how much Ruby's is out though. I mean that thing must have been grown out in the hollow part of the baby tooth before it fell out or something. Within hours the thing is almost completely grown out and we're talking MOLAR, not no thin front tooth. LOL

Oh snap. I need to see if I have cash for toothfairy duty tonight! I almost forgot... have to scrounge up something out of the purse and I don't usually have much cash on hand. egads...

(she still pretends to believe because of the youngest who still believes. We don't talk about it. We just pretend so she gets the money and Rita still gets to believe just as they did at that age. Yanno? LOL I know both my younger two will be asking her how much the toothfairy left her FIRST thing in the morning.)

I'll be on this very cruise ......what a great place .so much info...hope you all have a great day!

Spongebob is whiney? Maybe I can just tune out whinyness already or something. I think he's just silly as all get out but never noticed whinyness on that show.
I only recently allowed them to watch ANYTHING on nick jr. Even the oldest one. I'm so overprotective. They wore me down recently on the spongebob thing and I think a few other shows that come on there but I'm all over them with what they are allowed to watch on tv. And they can't get regular cable channels on their tvs in their bedrooms either. :)

My youngest didn't get any teeth until she was 14mo old! Yes, you heard right. Not one stinkin' tooth until she was 14mo old. What is that about? It's freaky I tell ya. far from the norm anyway. She's going to be 7 in June and hasn't "naturally" lost a tooth yet. She had one of her top teeth pulled over a year ago (her top front tooth- we have had issues with it since she was a baby, she has her father's soft-enamel or whatever it is he has and his father had... heriditary apparently). Anyway, that one the baby root canal wasn't done properly previously by another ped dentist so this one pulled it- and her permanent tooth doesn't appear to be coming out to replace it ANY time soon. She had a wiggly tooth on the bottom last week but she refuses to wiggle it and don't even THINK about helping her... so it's not even wiggly anymore. LOL She'll probably be 18 and still have baby molars. Who knows.

I can feel for her. :( My baby teeth weren't in a hurry to go anywhere either. I lost my top 2 the end of second grade. They finally had to pull the ones left in 7th grade because the perminants were becoming impacted. They put braces on the ones left to hold them in place. Well, after having the gums slit & silver caps put in to open the gums & try to help the teeth come out 3 years later they went in to just pull the teeth into place & attach the braces. What did they find? A thin piece of bone that the teeth were impacting against and keeping them from coming in. YIKES!! They got rid of that piece of bone & pulled the teeth closer to the gums & they came in. Way too much oral surgery for a kid. :( By the time I had my wisdom teeth cut out it was nothing. I moved up to college the next day like nothing happened.

good evening all,

i probably missed but i cant remember if there was someone that was going to be making t-shirts for the cruise or other things. again i apologize if i had missed it, very hard to keep up with you guys. but i am doing my best....

We will be doing iron ons for our own shirts. Todd is trying to find someone who is willing to print the design without having a problem with the copyright stuff.

Thank you all, you're so sweet and I appreciate the advice. Be sure I have read them all, even if I don't respond individually. I don't want to take over the thread with tons of posts about my migraines!

Shelley, that is what we are here for. Last cruise the group became my therapy couch while DH was away...and others needed support in other ways. What I went thru with my anxiety attack made a couple others recognize some of the symptoms in themselves and since those mirror a heart attack in women, went to the doctor to get checked out.

Me too. By the time I find something to respond to, it is 8 pages back and no one will know what in the heck I am talking about.:)

Oh sure we will! :) Things are always funnier the second time around...and the third. ;)

What?
you take breaks? Say it isn't so!

(just kidding. I'll do it if'n you want)

I'm BIP?

Oh I'll be here at 60,000. count on it. I think. :rolleyes1 You know how I go in phases and disappear for awhile. LOL

Yes, I know that we will be at the beach visiting our friends the week of July 4th. I'm not getting a laptop to take to the pool. :lmao:

Welcome Paula!

What's everyone calling me BIP for? I'm lost.. :confused3

Lisa, your daughter sounds so much like mine. They are a trip! :lmao:

But atleast I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having to "relive" the Full House days of our lives.

Well, I'm not going to type out BibbidyBobbidyBoo every time I talk to you so it has been either BBB or BIP...from the first three letters of your ID. Nothing meant by it just something that I can type quickly. Lots of people type out lb for me.

My knees have been aching lately...maybe for a week or more. They feel like someone is twisting the nerves. :( I figure that it is the cold weather too.

I may be a simpleton, but even I can see there is no "P" in BibbidyBobbidyBoo.
