The jug handles don't bother me, it's the crazy traffic circles I hate!!! Although the state is starting to get rid of them!!!

Aw, come on...don't you know that it's illegal in NJ to make a left hand turn? I think you're right about doing away with the circles too. I've seen way too many accidents from them.

I was born and raised in northern NJ and never realized the whole 'left hand turn' thing until I left the state and had folks pick on me about it.

What will happen to the highly hydrogenated Mickey Bar?

Lordy, what is the world coming to where a man can't sit back and enjoy some deep fried pork rinds or a hand battered deep fried Mickey Bar?!?!?!? First it was sugar and they made sugar substitute (pink, blue and now yellow), then it was eggs and they made Egg Beaters, now fats and they have Olestra which carries the FDA-mandated warning: "Olestra may cause abdominal cramping and loose stools." And now they want the trans-fats... What's next? Food substitute?!?! Oh yeah, that's what soy_(anything)_ is! uh, no offense to our Vegan friends here

There are a couple of shopping centers here that use roundabouts (sorry, spent 5 years in the UK) and they're pretty well laid out--if you pay attention to the signage, which, of course, most drivers don't do!

Yeah, unfortunately I'm Chevy Chase when I'm driving. I'm waiting for the day I get stuck under a tractor trailer when going 70 down I-95.

If DCL did overbook, which I think they may have, I imagine they're expecting cancellations. I imagine there will be and it'll workout w/18 months until sailing. But, if it was overbooked, wonder what it'd take in terms of an offer from DCL to get some one to voluntarily bump? For me, I don't think even a free back to back Eastern/Western Caribbean would do it. Not the same. We're doing the EB Canal due to kids missing no school days, but if they said something like, "If you switch to the WB Panama, we'll give you a free stateroom, plus a 2 Cat upgrade, pick up your tips and give you $1,000 OBC", I'd probably miss you guys a lot come August.

Questions for repeat EB Reepers or West Coast cruisers.

1. What port/terminal are we sailing out of in LA?

2. If we use DCL transportation, where do they pick you up from?

3. Does DCL use their normal buses or just lease some generic ones on the West Coast?4. Is there a car rental place near the LA port?

5. What is the Terminal like in LA? Is it similar to Port Canaveral? Do they do the numbering system? If anyone has a picture, that would be great.

Well I had my good laugh for the day!

Background: We have vending machines in the cafe on the unsecure floor. One of the soda (pop for you Ohio folks ) machines is very, uh, tempermental. It's the kind that has the little arms that retract to allow the bottle/can to slide off the shelf and drop down. The little arm snaps back into position and blocks the next bottle from falling.

Well some of the arms either get stuck or snap back too fast thus preventing your item from falling. Worse yet, many times the bottle falls and is standing up when it gets to the bottom and so you can't open the door to get it!!

Went to get a soda just now and there's a sign on the machine:

"Dear Vendor:

I have been ripped off by this machine, YET AGAIN! Please please please fix it or bring us another one! And remember, we have access to WMDs so if this keeps up, your machine may turn into a smoking hole in the floor!
