Here is a question for all you Dreams Unlimited folks out there. I am really leaning towards transferring my ressie, its definitely worth it $$ wise. We have our stateroom already and we have main dining which is what we wanted. We have not made our final payment yet. We don't anticipate having to make any changes to our ressie at this point.

We have done lots of research and found lots of pros but no cons other than we will have to call Dreams if we need to make any ressie changes. Am I missing anything here? Is this too good to be true - get $$ for transferring your ressie? What does Dreams get out of offering this to customers? I am just curious, I have heard wonderful glowing reviews about Dreams and I am ready to take the plunge but DH is a little more skeptical. Any insight would be helpful. What do you guys think?

We have booked this exact canopy tour for PV . . . Los Veranos. We are signed up for the 11 AM time, since we have to get off the boat and to the office by then.

Julie,

Do you have any idea what their policy is if the boat doesn't make it to PV? DH originally said "no way" (and I am afraid of heights and DEFINITLY won't be doing this) but DS8 is really begging after doing a zipline in Minnesota a few weeks ago! I think DH is weakening and they may be doing this ... The website says that it only costs $20 for non-participants to go and relax at the end (restaurant, bar, river, etc) so I could do that.

I couldn't find anything on their website about what happens if the ship can't stop at PV - I would assume they would not count that as a "no-show" and would refund our money, but I couldn't find anything online about that.

My smart alek girls in recent years have taken it upon themselves to get rascally every time I try to take their photo - and they get especially silly when we try to take family photos! Arrrrgh!

I wonder where that comes from Tom?!?!?:lmao:

I've got a ressie for CA Grill during the Princess & Pirate party fireworks. (And on our last night) Is that good?

We've always wanted to eat at the California Grill during fireworks! You'll have to let us know how it was.

I am not going to overpack! I am not going to overpack!
:rotfl:

So who else has started their packing list or am I the only looney?

DW has been putting one together for us too. I tease her about being OCD when it comes to packing, but I'm really glad when i need something that she thought ahead enough to have packed it!

Sounds like a few of us might be in the same boat! Would anyone consider doing a couple's brunch? Would anyone like me to plan one?

Linda and I would be intested in the couple's brunch too. When it gets closer to the booking window, please let us know which date and time to shoot for.

Well Pirates, so much for my hope of 2008 being better than 2007. DS is in the hospital again for his depression. I really don't know how much more of this I can take. Please pray for us.

Monica, you and your son are in our prayers. Hope all goes well for you both.

Just a quick " Hello " party update will post later........

Hey Paula, were you the one awhile back that was setting up the fishing trip in Cabo on the 28 foot boat? If so do you have room for one more person? Chuck would like to do this.

I feel like I am starting to make some progress.:woohoo: Thanks Cheryl for the heads up about flights !!! I booked our return flights.  Hey for only 120.00 per person going to Midway non-stop I couldn't pass it up. I know some of you don't like AirTran but I am happy that I have the tickets and I don't have to worry about my luggage.

Now I have to work on getting us to LA.

Hi Roger. I loved your blogs about the restaurants in the resorts. Any recommendations for in-park restaurants? Either must-do ones or the ones to avoid. I know we're going to try to get resservations at Blue Bayou, but I don't really know anything about the other restaurants, and we'll be there for a few days.

Goofy's Kitchen over at the DL Hotel is awesome. It's buffet style. Not sure, if we'll go this trip though.

Hi neighbor! (well, at least fairly close...)

We are also taking AirTran back - it will be our first time to fly them, but it was a reasonable price and good flight times. (We're on the l:46pm flight on Monday) I also need to get to work on getting us to LA! We will probably end up using our United frequent flyer miles - we've just been procrastinating because it seems wastefull to use them for 1-way flights (United won't allow a split itinerary with FF miles).

Do some reason, having that flight booked is making the whole trip seem more real :confused3 :thumbsup2

Looking forward to seeing y'all in March.

Coral, you could always rent a car for the day at MCO that way you could do something for a few hours--we have done this a couple of times. It is so nice not to have to mess with the luggage. When we have rented at the port, we were stuck with our luggage all day in the car---and I was worried about it.

Color me too cheap to pay for transfers and a rental car. I am also not sure we would have enough time as our flight leaves at 2:00. I think we will pretty much get off the ship and head to DTD for some shopping.
The bright side is if everyone else is using transfers than it will be easier to find our luggage. :thumbsup2

I think you all look great, and I especially like the younger M's pose in the first pic. How was your Alaska vacation? We're kicking that around as an idea for a future vacation.

Thanks! Alaska is absolutely incredible. It is my favorite destination we have gone so far. Miranda (youngest M) is an incredible ham. The only reason the
2nd picture is halfway normal is her Grandmother was taking the picture telling her to be straight. Personally, I like the 1st one since it is the "real Miranda". :)

In addition to the bad weather, I had some bad news today. The new company I was working for let me go. So it's back to the job search for me.

Bah.

I'm still going on the cruise... I'm just not sure how I'm gonna pay for it.
Sorry Sara:hug:

I've spent most of my day working on a video presentation gift for Angelina. It took longer than I thought because I had to keep stopping to wipe the tears from my eyes. This video turned out to be more emotional than I thought it would. I just shared it with her and Hazel, they both started crying while watching it as well...............but, these are happy tears..........:goodvibes

I used a couple songs on the video that really set the tone, "In My Daughter's Eyes" and "You Raised Me Up" listening to those two songs, while looking at all the pics was just too much, but it's something I've wanted to do for quite sometime now. I hadn't planned on doing it today, but after we took down the Christmas Tress and all the other decorations, I just started looking through old photos, the next thing I knew several hours had passed and the video was finished.........:goodvibes

Andy, you are such a sweetie:love:

I had been planning on changing before the show:confused3
But that could change:rolleyes:
This will be my first cruise with a formal night, so I'm not sure how long I will keep the dress on:confused3 (At least long enough for a picture:goodvibes )

Laurie, we change all the time. I like to be comfortable:)

I'm glad the Moms and I decided to drive to California. At least we can have our Pepsi and Banfi (YUM!) all boxed up and ready to hand over to the porters.
As it is, I'll have to pack carefully, since I'm only allowed two bags on the way home. I could just throw clothes away after I wear them. I wonder if they make disposable formal gowns?

Take what you can!!!

Congrats Roger!:goodvibes

Hi

Helen's mother and her husband will be in Florida but therein lies a very long story. I promise you'll be among the first to hear:sad2:

David

Then I'm thinking that you will want to stay far away from Florida.....

I give up trying to find a "good" picture of me. Apparantly my picture is only taken on vacation and most of the time I look not so nice on vacation.
Here is my attempt:
These were from Alaska

Great pictures, I'd love to go to Alaska one day:goodvibes

You're quite right about the cold.

I told the consultant that my knee hardly bothers me when I'm in Florida or the Caribbean and he said he couldn't prescibe either under the National Health Service !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

David

:rotfl: :rotfl:
I am so glad the TENS machine is helping you! One of Jon's friends sells them.

It's 1:00 in the morning here and I'm wearing it at the moment.

The one I have is on loan from the hospital but work will pay for me to get one in the next few days as it was an incident that caused my knee injury.
