I think someone taught him the trick that I never could master....something to do with having two windows open at the same time.....:confused3

I tried that but it was taking so long to post, I gave up.

Diane, I saw those all over the place Thurs. Congrats. Now to find somewhere to put it!

Ladies on the May 2005 PC Repo.. I did laundry on the ship at 2:00 in the morning and met two women from Austrailia and we still keep in touch.. While the laundry was washing we walked around the ship and went to coffee.. It was the first time for me ever doing laundry at that time.. and they told me they do it all the time cause of the kids, work etc... It was one of the nights just before going through the panama canal.. then we pick another night I think it was 2 days before which help me alot cause we stayed at disneyland for a couple of days. Everytime we saw each other on the ship we said Hi Laundry Buddy. ..

So yes I expect to do laundry on the ship.. and lucky enough our room is very close to the Laundry room..

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to all we have missed

Have a great Monday

G'mornin' pirates!

grumble, grumble Monday. Sorry, just can't nring myself to sayy 'happy' this morning!

So I started ketchup yesterday morning, but didn't get it posted before DS got off the ice. I LOVE rinks with wi-fi! Anyway, here is my time warp from yesterday morning!

I saw this press release today from Talbot's.

Retailer Talbots Inc. said Friday it will close 78 kids' and mens' stores by September and discontinue those businesses as part of a bid to focus more on its core customer — women who are 35 years old or older.

That is too funny! About 2 weeks ago I walked past a Talbots and for the first time EVER I thought to myself "that's a cute sweater"...I turned 35 last October. :lmao:

If you're going to get all your wine in CA - why not get the shipper here? Why bring it with you? Seems easier that way.

There's a large base near LAX, I'd think they'd have a Class 6. DH used to spend a lot of time there. I'll ask him when he gets home. though I've found the selection at the Class 6 to be quite limited. At least the one here - and they really don't carry the CA wines. Though I got a couple of bottles of a German Reisling at a very good price. For CA wines you're probably better off at a BevMo or even a local grocery. BevMo we know carries shippers too.

Didn't someone already to research on the closest liquor stores to DL??

When you finally make your trip to CA for Napa - you've got a spot to land. :goodvibes Of course, this trip might be the closest you get for some time. Maybe you should take advantage of it - hint, hint, nudge, nugde. :rotfl:

Do all/most wine shops have shippers available. I've never seen one in a store and here is how my life goes…I’ll wait to buy one in CA and the entire state will be out of them on 8/15/08. Then I will spend hours of my vacation hunting one down!

I guess class 6’s are hit or miss. Marine Corps ones usually have a great selection.

I WILL get to Napa…just a matter of when. It wo’t be added to this trip. Changing jobs every three years sorta limits my vacation days.

I guess we have a bunch of NICU babies here. My DS8 spent his first week there. He was 2 weeks LATE and weighed nearly 9 lbs and yes, the nurses loved being able to pick him up. His only problem was an infection (24 hours of labor 'cause his head was too big - he pooped in there and it was only discovered during the c-section...) and he had to be on the intervienious antibiotics for a week. I must say that the NICU was the noisiest place in the hospital and to this day he can sleep through nearly anything! The nurses were wonderful! He came home on Mother's day and every baby in the NICU that day "gave" their mom a geranium. We still have that plant - it overwinters in our basement!

Pamela (pdarrah)

My DS can sleep through anything as well! He also couldn’t eat for 3 days…and hasn’t stopped since. He’s also still very cuddly at age 7 & I think being stuck in the NICU has something to do with it.

I finally got around to taking a couple photos of the holiday lights around our house. We were having some power problems earlier this week (CommEd was providing one leg at 130V and the other at 145V!!!!!) so DH had unplugged most of them. He had most of it plugged back in last night, but there are a few bushes/trees missing. If he gets them back on tonight, I'll go back out and shoot a few more photos.

Beautiful!

Tina - your choices would be perfect. Love the shoes especially.

We haven't quite decided on the princess night. It will either be one of the formal nights or at least to go along with the prince/princess dinner that's usually just for the kids. Once we get a better idea of what our various nights will be, then we'll decide.

I thought we had already decided, but I guess I’m wrong. I vote for the 2nd formal night.

LOL.

Watching coverage of our storm and there's a news ticker at the bottom of the screen. It said "Florida so cold iguanas dropping out of trees". That just struck me as funny. Didn't realize the iguanas warranted national news coverage.

Should I pack our hockey helmets for WDW next week??

Just checking in with a very quick hello. I hope to go backwards tomorrow and read what all I've missed. We had company all week (one of the other "Escaping Moms" and her family) and the week before was our record number of 3 ER visits in one week....DS has MRSA Staph. He's doing much better now. So now that we've gotten all that over with, I can feel free to collapse.

 Hi Stace! Staph, yikes! I’m glad he’s getting better.
You deserve a good collapse!

i will vote the black boxers with the white shoes for the first formal night
than the white boxers with the black shoes the second formal night

What about red?
(Sorry cannot resist) (chuckles)

In boxers it is not a poll :rotfl2:

Oh, you did NOT go there!

Is there going to be an Inspection Committee?? :lmao: :lmao:

TASK FORCE!

A family in DS10's class has done a DVD of pictures from the year to music every year (except last year - they had a baby instead :goodvibes ) He's an artist - and pictures are amazing. It's going to be a sob fest when they graduate from 8th grade and we see all those years of the class together.

We had a hockey dad who did that in Alaska. They would show the video at the year end party and each kid would get a DVD copy. During the year-end party last spring, DS7 started to sob during the video which of course let to me scooping him up into my lap and sobbing with him. Even big brother was having trouble. We were quite the spectacle. Moving sucks.

Good morning all!

Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Finally uploaded some pics onto photobucket. Now I have to figure out how to post them.

I'm sure it will take me most of the day.:confused3

Congratulations Roger

I think you might of pulled the swabbies ahead in the pirate count.

Nope but I noticed it in Kristinas! eek!

Sorry Crash....pirate:

DD was a preemie at 36 weeks. While not in the NICU she did have to be monitored more closely the first couple days because she was a little jaundice (nice tan) and pretty much had no sucking reflex.

They wanted us to feed her every 3 hours but it would take about 2 hours just to get her to drink an ounce or two.

She caught on a couple weeks later and hasn't stopped since. She's always been off the charts for height and weight % wise. You'd never know she was so tiny once. (Even preemie size was big those first two weeks.)

Ok, let me see if this works

Frock coat, front view, the color is darker, the flash lightened up the color. It's a slate gray. This coat went through 3 dye baths to get to this color.

Barbossa earing, bandana as background

I ordered an earing but did not like it so I smashed it with a hammer and saved the gold attachment. Then I carved my own out of a piece of wood and painted it with ivory colored enamel paint. Sorry for the poor quality pictures this is my first time posting pictures on the web ever.

Also have glove and sword which I have not taken pictures of yet.

Belt, necklace, buttons, baldrick, and buckles still on order.pirate:

6 more days this thread will be a year long

I forgot that one year ago yesterday is when I posted this.

I have been following with great interest in anticipation of the 2008 itinerary announcement. Well I could not believe that some kind of news has not been discovered as to the 2008 itineraries. So being the internet person that I am, I went in search of an answer. After hours of searches I came across this which answers all of our questions. According to the linked permit from the Port of Los Angeles, DCL (otherwise known as Magical Cruise Company) has been granted a permit for conducting business out of the Port of Los Angeles from May 1, 2008 through September 15, 2008 for the purpose of family cruises to Mexico.

Youngest DD was technically premature but at 35 weeks she was 8 lbs 13 ozs. Not so much preemie about that. I had been going to multiple maternal specialists every week since conception so we could avoid what happened to oldest DD so they were positive she was 35 weeks.
The Dr. the day before estimated her weight at 4 pounds. I was so tired of being monitored multiple times a week that I was begging them to let DD be born. They said "Oh my no, that baby would be only 4 pounds!". I said "So, what, her sister was 1 pound, 4 pounds looks good to me". :rotfl2: 8 lbs, 13 ozs was quite a shock to us all. I felt like I had already missed part of her childhood being born that big. :) I say her sister open her eyes for the 1st time at 2 weeks old. Miranda probably could have walked herself out of the hospital. :lmao:
