Please add 4 new swabbies to your Jolly Roger Jolly Pirate crew. We just received confirmation that we're booked from the Jolly Pirates. After you posted your pic with Flying Dutchman - I knew that we just had to be a part of the adventure.

As long as no one tries to slip me a mickey, I should be fine.

The Mickey Finn is most likely named for the manager and bartender of a Chicago establishment, the Lone Star Saloon and Palm Garden Restaurant, which operated from 1896 to 1903 in the city's South Loop neighborhood on South State Street. In December of 1903, several Chicago newspapers document that a Michael "Mickey" Finn managed the Lone Star Saloon and was accused of using knockout drops to incapacitate and rob some of his customers.

A Mickey Finn (or simply Mickey) is a slang term for a drink laced with a drug (especially chloral hydrate) given to someone without their knowledge in order to incapacitate them. Serving someone a Mickey Finn is most commonly referred to as slipping a mickey.

Welcome, newbies!!! :)
The Take what you can! Give nothing back! developed out of a late night chat session with the group. Todd suggested/dared us that if he were to yell out Take what you can! in the dining room...or where ever we may be on the ship...we were to respond with Give nothing back! We did it a few times during the course of the cruise...the best being when he entered the dining room as the Captain after having a hissy because his costume malfunctioned. (Have your replaced the monkey head yet?) :lmao:

Found this while going back and reading some of the earlier posts. Helps us newbies figure out where the logo on the back of the tshirts came from.

Taken in context it's great, but I'm still not thrilled with it being on the back of the shirts. Just thought some of the other newbies would like to be more in the loop as well.
