Evening All !!

My sincere apologies for not being here for so long but I have been so busy with work since we came back from WDW. I have been involved in a committee that has been maintaining our Government department business throughout a national postal strike that took me all the way up to the end of November. Since then I have been away from home for lots of meetings as the Government is introducing a new Social Security benefit next year and I am involved in the set-up for this.

I have had no annual leave since September and have worked most Saturdays. Whilst the double-time has been good, I have had little time to spend it. However, I have been regularly buying US Dollars wherever I've been working, as the rate for us in the UK has been fantastic. It also means that I've paid for the cruise in full!

I am now off work for two weeks and will seeze the opportunity for lots of rest. I called back to my office yesterday to give everyone on my command a Christmas present and it was the busiest day before Christmas I have ever experienced in my time working as a Civil Servant.

I have been constantly nagged by Helen and Alex to go on the Disboards but I just been either too busy or too tired. In my time away, thank you to everyone who sent e-mails, Christmas cards and letters.

This is also my first opportunity to thank everyone we met in August in September for their friendship and extremely kind hospitality. I am ashamed to mention that I still have to upload some photos of one of our meets.

I won't overstay my welcome on my first time back so I'll catch you all soon.

Well after spending the night in the loo....

He is doing better but won't be drinking that much again any time soon.

He's only done that maybe a handful of times in the 17 yrs we've been together.

We didn't leave for PA today because his head was still spinning but we'll leave in the AM.....

ing! Did you guys have birthday parties when you were younger or did the folks just lump it into one big celebration? The reason I ask is DDs best friends growing up (twins and their brother) never had a b-day party. I even offered my house as the mom didn't want kids running thru her clean decorated house. I always thought it was so sad.

Sorry I didn't make it back on Chat Friday, but I stepped away from the computer and never got back. When I did you were long gone. Looked like an early night.

Yup, my company did that a few years ago. Lost the tape with all our info. The gave us a year of credit monitoring services. I was told the tape was really big and really really hard to lose.

Yes, I couldn't log on and had to call them about my CC cards. They couldn't pull anything then. They did tell me the corrected cards are on the way. Same speech they gave me in July. But they said we don't need the # to log onto the CC site anymore and I noticed that the last time. Just concerned about the Excursion bookings in May as they changed the old #s.

1/ Government are in a bit of a 'tiz' over this loss.

2/ DCL down for days must have major programme or server problems.
