The fact that you know me and Helen, you should KNOW that Elizabeth II is not the Queen of England - she is the Queen of the United Kingdoms and its Commonwealth !!!

David

Well now...

... technically, Cheryl IS in fact correct, Elizabeth II is Queen of England... however it would be far more accurate to state Elizabeth II is the Queen of the United Kingdoms and it's Commonwealth... right? And I might add it is perhaps only appropriate to state it your way - as to take it a step further in the WRONG direction - one could misstae Queen Elizbeth II as Queen of a smaller area, like Birmingham... which would be completely inapproiate.

Technically - there is no such thing as the Queen of England as the title does not exist;)

Just a quick update - Father Christmas is currently in Denmark - he's getting closer.

Meanwhile, here in Norfolk, UK, Bethan is watching "The Grinch", Alex is wrapping presents, Helen is wrapping my final present (it's a Passporter::yes:: ), and I've just eaten a mince pie

David

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time David. Can't wait to get out of work and start the festivities.

Yippee !!

It's just gone midnight here in the UK so any minute and Father Chrsitmas will be here.

To everyone on this thread havd a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful time.

Happy Christmas !!

David and family.:santa:

As the children are now in bed, there's much work to be done so before I go I'll quickly post this photo of Bethan with Father Christmas in Harrods, London a few weeks ago.

Wow, that is a wonderful picture. Makes me want to visit London just for the photo. Have a wonderful Christmas David and family.

Back home, in my pj's, just relaxing and taking it easy. Enjoying some Christmas cookies that Angelina brought home from her boyfriend's house.

The first Candlelight service tonight was packed out. Our church seats just about 1,000 and there must have been between 1400-1500 in attendance. An overflow section was made for the late comers. There will probably be around 1,000 people there for the 8:30 service and another 800 for the 10:30 service.

Angelina wants to watch a video of a Christmas mornings from the past, so before I sign off, let me say:

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Monica...

... I must CONFESS... I only rode 4 rides ... even though the lines were completely non-existant. We walked onto Goliath, Scream (was that the name?), Collossus and Superman. We rode Goliath twice. And the rest of the time we just looked after the kids. And, well... actually I rode three other rides ... an inclined track train, a kids' circus train and the kids 4 wheel drive ride.

To be candid, after we rode Goliath TWICE back to back we needed a break. I couldn't walk straight and was notably shaken by the experience. It took an hour or so for me to fully recover from the experience. I have not ridden TATSU, and I was under the impression that the image I posted was of Goliath... not "X".

At any rate, I really gotta run now. SO many things yet to do. I'm gonna be sending some of my Christmas Cards a day late it seems. Drat! So many things to do - and so little time! Maybe I should have been on the DIS a little less, eh? Nawwwww! ;)

Now that I look at it, yes the image is Goliath. I really didn't pay attention to the photo, I just keyed in on the word extreme in your post. So I automatically thought of X. Goliath is a great ride too.

Arlene, I can only remember having one birthday party as a kid. It was usually to hard to get it organized since we were always out of school. My wife always makes it a special day.

This is the one picture of my birthday party when I was 6. I am the one in the back with the presents and cowboy hat.

HAPPY FESTIVUS

That is cute!
I can understand that since I have a middle of the summer b-day.

I hope today is LOTS of fun!

I'm Aug as well and can't remember an organized party. Just bunkmates at camp.Isn't that sad:guilty: All us birthday orphans will have to throw one large party onboard:thumbsup2

Hi everyone

I just had a chance to quickly SKIM the thread.
All of the pictures look great.:cheer2:

Last Wednesday Tyreak decided he wants to spend Christmas in NC with his father and stepmom. A few weeks ago he said he wanted to stay home. As much as I wanted to say no (he's always spent Christmas and every other holiday with me) I agreed.:sad1:

Tyreak and his dad are both excited about spending the holiday's together. His stepmom has planned some cool things so I know he'll have a blast. I just seems so odd not to have my baby here Christmas morning.:guilty:

I've spent the last 4 days running around making sure he has everything he needs for the trip as well as picking up gifts for his grandparents, dad and stepmom. All of this between finals, papers, working my full time job and a seasonal job at the Times Square Toys R US.

Have a great holiday DJ and don't be sad.

I don't know the answer to your question....but....did you ever go in and meet my dd? :)

I have been in there 3 times and she has not been working any of them. I swear they were going to start telling her she has a stalker. :lmao:

We just got back from church services as well. We got there 30 mins early and it was a good thing. The place was full to the brim and so was the "Connection Center".
Now getting ready for bed as tomorrow will be a big day!! :cool1:

Santa has reached the United States....he's in Charleston, SC.

David, thank you for the picture of Bethan and Father Christmas. I agree with Roger, I'd love to come there and get my picture taken, too!!

Have a wonderful sleep and a glorious Christmas morning, everyone!!

Very nice. This is the first year in a while I didn't have a chance to buy a Harrod's Christmas bear -- I've typically ended up in the UK on business in October, November or December, but that streak probably ended permanently this year.
