Okay I know I am sometimes a dumb blonde and I have been on these boards for awhile now but I still do not know what the REAS is. Can anyone help?

What the heck do you get for 2400-4400 and why would it be higher on a longer cruise?

Quick question for those that have done a repositioning cruise in the past...how does one pack for 2 weeks??? We have never had a vacation this long and sure hope this will be the first!!!

I'm also trying to figure this out.
I've already decided I'm going to end up paying a fee (either with the airlines or DCL) for being over the baggage limit.:sad2:

We got a good tip about using duffel bags for long trips. They work especially well on the ship since they'll collapse down when empty and will slide under the bed.

High Sierra AT3 Sierra-Lite 32" duffel

Here's a review of this bag:

"This is a great bag! Needed something in a hurry for a 2 week trip to Europe and it was just the thing. Rather than just a huge one pocket bag, as you'd expect with a duffle, it has several zippered compartments - some large, some small - plus a zippered expandable area at the bottom. Very easy to pull and the handles at the top and side helped move the bag in & out of luggage carriers and car trunks."

Okay CJS line for the night

The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can accept that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can't. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you'll have to square with that some day. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?

What say you !

Oh, don't talk about laundry! Just about the first thing DH said to me after hearing 15-nights was "We're going to have to do laundry"

I HATE doing laundry on vacation. (Well, I hate doing laundry at home and vacation makes it even worse!!!)

We always have the pressing service onboard for our fancy duds. I think I might pack 10 days worth of clothes and spring for a bit of laundry service to make it through.

Well I for one am not doing laundry! :thumbsup2 Except for my tux and maybe a Tommy Bahama shirt, I'm bringing my "play clothes" and will toss them after one or two wearings :lmao: That'll leave me with plenty of room for new clothes and souveniers! ahhhh shopping! :cloud9:

Jeff I am so not poking fun at you because I read it that way too!!!!

I got it, I know you're aren't. It is kind of funny with all the acronyms. PC is my home away from home so whenever someone says, "PC" I think of the place I most want to be...only because it usually means that I am moments away for an embarkation photo and some nice CM introducing us as we board the ship. I sure wish we were doing that now.

Disposable clothes!!!!Thats an idea we should market!!!!

Okay so I understand all of this but why would it cost more on a longer journey. It is still only one ceremony, note, bouquet, boutonniere, cake, bottle of champagne, certificate, solo (hope it isn't .......ntwine) oops got off the topic.....one coordinator, one Palo dinner, one photo, and one strawberries and champagne delivery. It isn't like it includes a service that they are providing nightly. I don't get it.

:groom: ..if you guys need to hide ,your girlscouts cookies, you're
more than welcome-to keep over at my place.....* however, i can't

nice guy..and shy. these boards must be radio-activating his synapses....

Gosh I hope this isn't part of the detailed pirate costume Todd is talking about ........not sure if DH will be talked into wearing a onesie

My sister just agreed to join us! I'm so excited! My college-aged son has not made up his mind, though. It would involve missing the first few days of his junior year. ....

Crash: I LOVE the pic with your daughter over the railing! That is so adorable!

Well...

... I'll begin with thank yous for your kind remarks on the picture. Seeing it agin warms my heart too!

... and on getting your sister to go - that sounds wonderful! I have two light committments from friends who say they will book the sailing as well. However, I am not entirely certain they are gonna do it or even go. But we'll soon see in a couple of days, eh?

Oh Crash, I think you'll fly by during the overnight hours. ;)

I've been up since early this morning and am getting ready to shut the computer down for the night. It's time to chill out in front of the :happytv: before heading off to bed.

Well now... you were not kidding. I'm gonna try to keep the count down as well... it's getting pretty long running so I'll try to edit in multiple replies on one posting. :thumbsup2

So one Pirate says to the Other - " I see you got both ears pierced "

and the Pirate Says " yep , they were on sale "

Confused the Pirate says "Sale ??"

and the Other Pirate replies " Yep they were a Buccaneer"

I know its stupid , but I feel looopy tonight
