I love MVMCP! The castle looks awesome - wish I could see it in person. Looks like you had a great time!

Hi folks

DS is improving. He's got a killer headache and gets naseous if he moves around too much. The headache is managed by tylenol, so it's not too painful. He just starts getting cranky when its time for a new dose. All his neurological tests are fine though.

They are concerned about the cracked bones causing fluid to leak. Hasn't happened so far, but they are keeping a close eye on him. Also, the fracture is very near his ear and they can see some bruising inside the ear. They are going to test in the next few days to see if he suffered any additional hearing loss. Good thing is we just had a follow up hearing test last week, so they have up to date results to compare too.

He's sleeping most of the time. Eating a little. And walked around his room today. Still another day or 2 in the hospital at least.

Thanks for letting us know how he's doing Monica. How are you holding up?

Keeping you in my prayers.:grouphug:

Monica, thanks for the update, happy to hear that things are looking up for your son......:goodvibes

Sorry to learn about your aunt's passing.........:sad1:

Monica so glad to hear that Trevoy is up and about! My thoughts are with you during this trying time!

Liz love the pics, especially the castle! If it wasn't for the beauty of that castle all lit up during the holidays I would not even think about going during that busy time again & here I am planning for 2009. Do you think they plan that on purpose? :confused3 ;)

Andy I glanced at your Bash cruise thread & it looks like you have a great group of people going on that cruise, even the famous Oybolshoi! I really love reading her reports, she is an absolute riot! :goodvibes

The strange part is.....our DMIL had a connecting room request linked to our rezzie. DCL assigned our room and broke the connecting room request....DMIL is still GTY - wierd.

Andy
We are in a cat 6 and a cat 11, linked ressies with a request to be near each other. The cat 6 is still GTY, but they assigned the cat 11 to a cabin on deck 7. There are no cat 6's on deck 7, so I'm thinking that they won't be too close to each other. We actually switched with a friend who is also linked with us and had a cat 11 on deck 6. So now there's a chance at least that they'll be close together. If not, I apologize in advance to anyone who sees me wandering the halls in my boxers.:scared1:

Thanks for thinking of me, guys. Since switching chemo meds last Tuesday I am doing *much* better. The nasuea and headaches that were keeping me on the couch for days at a time are all but gone. There are different side effects with this one but they are much easier to take. I am past the half way point with the chemo :cool1: :cool1:

It was great, Thanks. I am so glad I did not cancel. I got to meet Susan  , and I flew back late Monday where it reached 82 degrees in FL and it was 17 degrees when I landed in Boston!! I want to go back.

I have to share one of the most fun days I have ever had in the Magic Kingdom with MouseFest...
We had a picture savenger hunt - We were Team JellyRolls. An example of some of the pictures with STRANGERS we had to collect......

Do the Dosie-Do with strangers outside Country Bear Jamb
Pretend to be getting ill outside the Teacups
Spell M-I-C-K-E-Y with your bodies

There was a ton of other stuff, but you get the idea. Everything had points assigned. We lost (by more than 100 pts.), but we had sooo much fun!!!!

Glad to hear you're doing better with this new course of chemo. And your trip sounds like a heck of a lot of fun! Glad you were able to go and have a great time.

Monica, it sounds like Trevoy is doing well. We'll continue to keep him in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Likewise, we'll say another prayer for your aunt and the rest of your family. Please accept our condolences.

Liz, what great pictures!!!

I'm excited that the castle will still be lit when we get down there. I saw it on the Samantha Brown Travel Channel special last night, and now I can't wait to see it in person! Thanks for the pics.

:yay: :yay: :yay: HI !

MY DS just turned 14 and my DD will be 11 in May.

DCL just listed excursions on the website if you haven't heard yet:confused3

Well, you had a better reason than us. We got married for the car insurance.

Shortly before Christmas 1990, we were involved in an auto accident that totalled my then-fiancee's car. (We had been engaged for about six months and planning to be married in October 1991 after I finished college). We decided to buy a new car together, which we did, but then found out no one would give us car insurance together because we were not married. We got our blood tests, went to the courthouse and were married and bought the car two days later.

We later moved our real wedding to December to be closer to Christmas. No one knew except our minister and we've always celebrated the December date. We had to keep it a secret primarily for SWMBO's family, mainly her Catholic grandmother, who also did not know we were living together. (Janie's dad had no problem with this -- he was happy that her rent was cut in half because she was living with someone...)

One of my friends comes from Poland and she and her DH were married during a time when Church weddings were forbidden. They snuck across the border to have a Catholic Church wedding and do celebrate both.

Sorry im not that computer savy , Savvy !!! LOL Maybe if I had a MAC ..LOL (something I have wanted for a long time and I think I may actually get my wish for Christmas ...the nice 24 inch one ..) but if that happens then we would might have to convert My Sweet Melissa's over to a MacBook Pro so we can carry our mac with us ...Man I love Mac ....Hopefully I can get off this dreaded PC ...LOL

pirate:

When DD decided to go back to school she needed a new computer and my DS bought her the mini Mac. When he brought it over he first brought in the monitor and the keyboard. She had no idea the computer was such a small unit so he had it hidden. When he gave her the final box she was so confused at first she thought it was a cd player:lmao: She loves it.

Now this is getting spooky, I pointed out a few days ago, no fires in California, no earthquakes, since Crash left, now a hurricane in the Caribbean where he went,:scared1:

Crash almightly!

I was thinking the same thing :rotfl: :rotfl:

Liz those pictures are great! Loved the castle.

Monica, great to hear he is getting better. Hope you are breathing a bit easier as well.

If not, I apologize in advance to anyone who sees me wandering the halls in my boxers.:scared1: :cool2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Ok--if you end up being close to Mike, you may want to pack some blinders:rotfl: :rotfl:

Some how I lost the rest of my quotes.:sad2:

Welcome ga9497:banana:

Monica, I am so glad to hear that your son is doing better. He will stay in our prayers:hug:

Mary Ann, that is wonderful you are half way through your chemo. I am glad you are feeling better and that you were able to really enjoy your trip to WDW.

Liz, the castle looks gorgeous. I love how they decorated it this year. I really hope to get there next December, so I hope they do it for a couple of years.

Tom is gonna laugh and laugh (HOPEFULLY:rotfl: ) when he gets off his cruise. :rolleyes1 I hope he had better seas than the Magic yesterday--on the main board they posted about 30 foot waves:scared1:

Everyone have a nice evening.:)

Greats pictures Liz. I can't wait see our little castle all lite up. Ever wonder how Prince Charming got all that money to build a castle so much bigger than Aurora's family. :confused3

DS is improving. He's got a killer headache and gets nauseous if he moves around too much. The headache is managed by Tylenol, so it's not too painful. He just starts getting cranky when its time for a new dose. All his neurological tests are fine though.

Monica, so glad to hear Trevoy is doing better. The hard part about head injuries is the waiting to make sure no harm occurred. Tell him to play football on the grass next time and not the sidewalk. Sorry to hear about your aunt. Your whole family will be in our thoughts.

Welcome to our group. PM Tom31b for detail on the website. We have a DD13 too. :cool1:

OH I would so bring that up every time someone launches into the standard spouse OpSec speech!

*OpSec = Operational Security - don't tell anyone where he's going, when he's leaving, when he's coming back, loose lips sink ships and whatnot.

Happily, the days when he disappears for days on end (call the Admin if you need me) and no-one-needs-to-know-about-this are past. There's not too much secret about being an Academy Liason Officer. It's actually rather public. :rotfl:

Well, you had a better reason than us. We got married for the car insurance.

:rotfl2: I'm so glad we're not the only ones. And yeah, we also get asked about which date we celebrate. Our answer is - which ever is most convenient. This year - it's going to be May as we're taking a get away for two to WDW. Just to do the "grown up" stuff. ;)

Someone needs to start a deck map of DIS'ers, and see how big a block of rooms we can string together.

I thought we did that? I distinctly remember seeing a ship map with one HUGE room numbered GTY. ;)

The strange part is.....our DMIL had a connecting room request linked to our rezzie. DCL assigned our room and broke the connecting room request....DMIL is still GTY - wierd.

Maybe they think they're doing you a favor?? :rolleyes1

A thousand WELCOME's Mate. Our oldest son will also be 11 for the cruise.

For anyone that listens to the DIS Unplugged Podcast, I had my email read in the listener email show this week - I'm really excited about it. I've not listened yet but will be in the next couple of days.

Well...

... just checking in briefly here. We're back! Been back in fact since monday nite but it's been hectic with all manner of little pesky errands that need attention. So my time has been very limited for catching up here. But I have noticed that a half dozen plus pages go up every 12 hours or so - and that's leaving me in a difficult position to catch up!

At any rate - Happy birthday and happy anniversery to everyone we've missed these past 2 weeks or so. And prayers and hopes for all who could have used some in the past 2-3 weeks. I hope things have otherwise been at least managable for everyone lately.

So, our trip was a nice one. Painfully inexpensive for a cruising trip. I took about 1400-1500 pictures ... so my production was pretty low.

I'm sleepy tired - so am turning in now. I'll try to get pictures and links up soon - but I suspect we won't get to it until maybe next monday or tuesday.

Oh well... it IS nice to be home again!
