I just talked to our TA this evening and she said we need to pay for our flights by the end of this week. So that is the last major item off the list of stuff we need to do/pay for.

We may tinker with our DVC ressie at SSR for after the cruise yet. We have a studio confirmed but a friend from the UK may come over for a week or so, once he confirms we'll probably switch to a 2-bedroom as no one wants to share a bed with him :rotfl2:

Still need to sort out a rental car but I'll get around to that eventually. Still loads of time yet.

Andy, we'll miss you by two weeks :sad1: I booked us on the 5/23 and 10/10 special Eastern cruises. Couldn't decide which one I wanted.

Missed sailing again with you by this __ much...........:sad2:

How wonderful Andy!!!:yay: :yay: You will love spending Halloween on the ship!!! We have before and it was great!!!:cheer2:

Actually Cheryl, we get off the ship on Halloween morning. Is the ship decorated for Halloween?

Yes, you gave me that address before when I was sending you a birthday present -- sent a REALLY GOOD ONE, too, but it was returned because "Andrew" apparently no longer lives there, just his mum . . .

Julie, this reminded me that I went to my friend's cabin a coupole of weekends ago (we had a "mom's weekend" there)....and we all watched The Queen. You know, something none of our husband's would watch with us....

Anyway, we all really enjoyed it, and wondered how acurate it was. I think they portrayed Charles to be a pretty decent guy.

Getting ready for some light sn*w that will be arriving this morning, luckily only calling for 1-3 inches in our area.

Time to head off to work..........

I love everyone's Christmas decorations - it really is "The most wonderful time of the year"!

Here are some of ours - our tree won't go up until Sunday. We went to a tree farm and picked it up this past weekend. It was the first time we have gone to a tree farm, we usually just end up at Home Depot or Lowe's and get our tree there, but with the passing of my grandmother last week we decided to do something special this year.

Very pretty Lorri. Can't wait to see a picture of your tree:goodvibes Sometimes it is really fun to change up what you normally do for the holidays.

The decorations are great. I love Christmas time!!! I just hate all the sn*w we are having right now!!! I can't believe the presents are wrapped!!! I just spent 5 hours trying to find all the gifts I bought and hid throughout the year.:lmao: :lmao:

Cheryl, I have been doing the same thing, pulling things out from all over. I have everything wrapped--but I am still tying bows on to them. I have more fun making the presents pretty than I do buying them. :goodvibes

No snow here, have to travel an hour and half up 71 to Cinncinatti. ;)

All you all having snow be careful out there.

Tracy safe travels to WDW tomorrow.:)

Yeah, "The Queen" was not exactly a "guy" movie, and I really enjoyed it as well . . . who knows how well anything portrays someone you don't actually know? I thought that movie was pretty nuanced, seeming to make the royals unsympathetic at times and quite human at others . . . which is probably they way things really are. Most movies, books, articles, etc., pick an extreme viewpoint and hammer it, but that movie was not really like that.

Thanks!! I can't wait to be done with work and done with the snow! We got another 4-6 inches yesterday  And with the 2009 rates coming out yesterday, I've been a tad bit busy :lmao:

Morning.. snow here. Kids had school but I still had to shovel the driveway. .. and more to come another 1-3 inches forecasted and then on Thursday it will be Lows 9 to 13 above with Wind chills as low as 1 below to 9 above zero. ... way too cold for this time of year.. But then on Thursday I leave for WDW so let it snow as long as I get outta town..

Happy Birthday and Anniversaries to all I have missed

Happy Hanukkah

Yep, we are getting snow now. Already have about 2" and are expecting 1-2" more by this afternoon. Driving in to work was fun. Didn't do over 35 mile an hour. None of the streets have been plowed and most of the local schools are closed. Got to love the first snowfall of the season though.

I look forward to warmer weather next week at WDW.

All those in the east stay warm and dry.

As you can see DH has a hard time following directions!!!!!

I dunno. He looks rather child-like to me. :rotfl2:

And yes - before anyone asks - I keep the money. Rule is if mom washes - I keep and while I feel a little guilty with the oldest girl - she hasn't learned yet. :rotfl2: Guess she hasn't learned her lesson right?

I call it Mom's Laundry Tip. Sadly, the best I've done is 25 cents. I once got $5 from DS10, but gave it back to him with the warning that next time I keep it. About the time I start getting serious folding money - I think they'll be doing their own laundry. :)

Sorry you missed it by one day. There is no decorations but the cast throw a Great party on the deck at night. The children have stations to get bags of candy and adults can get some too!!!! The crew put on the Michael Jackson Thriller Show which was incredible. It is amazing how many people do really dress in costumes and not just pirate. Anything you on Disney is fun.:flower3: You will be celebrating your anniversary anyway. You shouldn't be participating in too much DCL night life.;) ;) Did I make you blush???:goodvibes

Quit rubbing it in Susan.:rolleyes1 I do wish you have a great time at WDW even though I am not going.:sad2: We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground now. You would never know we have global warming here!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: It is going to be really cold and more storms on Thurday.:headache:

Congrats Andrew. I know you've been waiting for an announcement.

We were hoping for something a little more different, not just one port. But we're trying to come up with a really good trip for summer 2009 after graduation. So I'm actually glad that it's not a "can't miss" trip and frees up some time for something completely different. Now 2010 and 2011, new ships...that's another story!

Looks great Kristina! Cool idea.

I must say I think DCL have done a very silly thing, they are an expanding company ordering two ships and after two years of bold moved to the Med and west coast, they 'contract back' into the Caribbean only, I was expecting something special, maybe 10 night Caribbean cruises, but one change of port form the usual trips is a stupid move at a time they should be approaching new frontiers, Alaska, or Europe.

First chance I have had to get on this thread all day. Not very excited about the 2009 sailings, but Hazel and I decided to go with the 10/24/09 Eastern, as that day is our 34th wedding anniversary. So far, Angelina hasn't decided if she wants to sail with us or not, especially with it being our Anniversary Cruise...................;) ;) ;)

Have a great one and don't cancel!!!

PS Jewelry and Rings are cheap duty free in St Thomas!
