Went to take the trash out at work this morning and saw the prettiest sunrise....had to take a picture. If you look to the upper right, you'll see the moon and the north star.

Lovely pic Debi, I love sunrise and sunset photos............:goodvibes

Cheryl, I have been doing the same thing, pulling things out from all over. I have everything wrapped--but I am still tying bows on to them. I have more fun making the presents pretty than I do buying them. :goodvibes

Oh, I am really bad at wrapping presents - can you come and do mine too? I don't have a very high patience level and invariably when it comes to gift wrap it drops even lower. The first 2 or 3 look GREAT and then it just seems to drop off from there...I'm so glad that gift bags were invented!:rotfl2:

OMG! You had me laughing out loud at that one!

yep, the pirate: 's joke....is most defiantly an "loaded" cannon?

* where the smart swabbies...make sure..it isn't pointed..in their
vicinity...before firing off their "wish list", :rolleyes1

...but if one is asking me, i would have chosen...a different response...
...while its safe to say, my lil'cutie wench..would probably chosen
another ...answer..beside "my heart's desires"...like "shopping for booty".

...dear micmse, i don't want you to "feel" left out...so if i could, i would send
you "all" our snowflakes...[ i bet you make one :smokin: snowman &
snow girl :bride: .... doing "jingle this, jingle that..all the way! :santa: ]

i guess the west bounders have alot rooms opening up....wonder how they
doing with us?....its just this nagging feeling....where i feel they going
"call us all gty @ the same lifeboat drill & toss all the room keys where
we must take what we can?

dear pdger...since we're just on the flipped side...{ appox. 1-1/2 hrs from
cincy....guess who got...all your snow??? don't worry, we'll saving
it for you guys, :flower3: }
...they chopped up all those stories & pics..so iam going half to get the
scissors out...& re-copy...

gosh , darn..i sure hope....we don't have snow..on dec. 22,...when we're
flying out...:scared: , * we got caught in a blizzard in 2003, right before the
virgina mountains range..& 2002, we had to drive thru a snow storm..& just
made final boarding....

What a beautiful photo! Thanks for sharing!

I totally agree! Gift bags are the way to go! They make such cute ones now. I've even gotten ones that light up or play music for my grand-nephew.

I must say I think DCL have done a very silly thing, they are an expanding company ordering two ships and after two years of bold moved to the Med and west coast, they 'contract back' into the Caribbean only, I was expecting something special, maybe 10 night Caribbean cruises, but one change of port form the usual trips is a stupid move at a time they should be approaching new frontiers, Alaska, or Europe.

Or maybe they are making it "ordinary" so new itineraries with the new ships out of the box will be extra magical?

Or maybe they are suring up their Caribbean business in anticpation of permanently moving the Magic and Wonder to foreign ports?

I'm sure they have some logic in it.

Classes are over!!!
         I still have 5 finals next week, but I'm celebrating anyway. It's one semester closer to graduation!

:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: Good luck on the finals:goodvibes

Can you come over and do our wrapping. I know Cheryl will be helping me wrap, cough, choke, chuckle.:rotfl2: :rotfl: Godda love her.

John

Sure John, I think that is fun. I actually don't like to see them torn open. Why can't they just look :sad2: at how pretty they are.:goodvibes

G'mornin' pirate:s

Well we've either had armageddon or the DC area got an inch of snow yesterday. This is insane. We have a 2 hour school delay over a bit of slush.

"But M., where have you been?"
My laptop is in the shop. The little internal peice where the power cord actualy powers the thing is broken. For some reason it is going to take 2 weeks to fix. TWO WEEKS!!! Without my laptop. UGH! I've been using DH's desktop when I can, but he's working on is final for the grad class he's taking & I don't like being stuck in the den.

Plus, I've been working on Christmas projects whenever I can get my hands on the computer. We send the happy Christmas letter that people love/hate. I love that it makes me sit down once and year a summarize the stuff we did. My folks always wrote one, so I have copies of every Christmas letter since I was 3 months old. It's pretty cool. AND I make calendars for the grandparents - they turned out really cool ifIdosaysomyself. AND I made DH a t-shirt to wear while he runs the WDW marathon. Here's my favorite page - obviously October. I had to get creative since both of their costumes included masks this year:

My projects are here if anyone is curious: http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e78/sk8ingmom/Christmas 2007/project/

So, looks like I have a few hours for ketchup...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!

Hello EVERYBODY! :yay:

 Hey Laura! Long time no see. I hope the puppy is doing OK.

I just received a phone call from Tina(castoff), she asked me to let everyone know that due to a family emergency she will be taking a break from the boards for awhile. Tina also asked me to let everyone know even though she is taking this break, the party for March 30th is still on. I do have Tina's e-mail address, if anyone needs to get in touch with Tina she said they can contact me for her e-mail address.

Tina would greatly appreciate everyone's thoughts, good wishes and prayers for her family at this most difficult time.

Oh no. Please tell Tina we are thinking of her.

Here's hoping everyone has a great Tuesday. I get to go to money laundering training today:woohoo: :woohoo: :)

Pay close attention so you can pay for all of our TOAL!

I am sure in some areas there are lots of problems going on, our customers just use money orders for rent and utilities. If customers come in and say they need like $2000 or more in moneyorders, we refuse them. It is too dangerous in a gas station to have that much money in a transaction. You never know who is watching.:sad2:

$2,000 wouldn't cover most rent in this area :sad2:

oh, for sk8...hope she doing well..with her boys..,

Hey Grump. Thanks for the pics. I have a great one from inside the chapel that I took this summer - just can't find it right now, it's somewhere on a back-up disk. I'll try to remember to post it when I get my computer back.

My biggest find one time was $100 - but I don't really count that as it came from my pants - the biggest and so far the leader in losing money to mom is my oldest - I think the running total is about $80. Not all at once - $10 here, $35 was the biggest on her. Usually its only $5. My oldest - son - is such a cheapskate - the most I've gotten from him is $10. My youngest finally came on the board when I found $25 in her pocket.

And yes - before anyone asks - I keep the money. Rule is if mom washes - I keep and while I feel a little guilty with the oldest girl - she hasn't learned yet. :rotfl2: Guess she hasn't learned her lesson right?

"Sides" kinda makes up for those kleenexs that get through. Nothing like opening up the washing machine or dryer and finds them all OVER your clothes. ARGH!

I keep the money too! I figure it will help the kids remember to check their pockets before the clothes go in the basket.

Happy Birthday
Liz
and
Happy Anniversary
too!

(Wow, you made it easy on DH to remember:goodvibes)
