Andy, I love your letter! Since I have 3 kids, I have to use teeny tiny type to get all the new info in it. I have a feeling that none of my older relatives can even read them!

I know I could write a lot more, but I like to try to keep it short and to the point. Besides, with this memory of mine, this is about all I can remember.................

I've only been doing these newsletters for the past few years. I've enjoyed receiving other people's newsletters, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Two years ago, Angelina's 10th grade English teacher, used our newsletter as a teaching assignment. Not sure if the other kids in Angelina's class enjoyed having to write a newsletter about their family for a grade..........

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I see there was a lot of eating & shopping & eating & eating some more! We really enjoyed our little get away in NH & DH thinks he might like to make this a yearly tradition. The hotel put out all the fixins for turkey sandwiches later in the evening & that was an unexpected & great touch.

We did a little shopping at some nearby outlets, but really didn't see any great deals. I think I'll be doing a lot of on-line shopping this year.

Okay off to do some much needed !

So - the news we've seen says the fire appears to have started in a position clear of power lines and near a road. Making the origin of this potentially suspicious. Alicia quipped there were a lot of ultra material rich folks up there and there are people who "don't like rich folks - especially the kind who like to be as showy as the folks in Malibu are thought of as being". To think it could have been deliberate - regardless of who is the victim is disturbing.

The thing about this though that leaves me wary is that we are not too far away - and it could conceivably threaten our neighborhoods too under certain circumstances. The winds must have been pretty bad to have caused so much damage so quickly in spite of so much preparation by the fire fighting authorities in SoCal.

Those were quite some photos. Funny thing is, arson is considered a "sex crime" while rape is considered a violent crime. If you think about it, the rapist wants physical domination over the victim. The arsonist is often trying to be the hero and endear himself (90% men) to women.

Using that logic, I would tend to think the "doesn't like rich people" motivation is unlikely. Not sure if that should make you feel any better about the situation.

Back home -

- a little worn out but otherwise fine. On the flight in while on final approach to land Julianna spotted the fireworks going off at Disneyland! It was amazing how TINY the fireworks looked from what must have been 15-20 miles away! < duh > Just the same - this was a "first" for us.

As for a pirate run tonite.... I wouldn't be so sure about that. At the current pace we'd be there some time in January.... so everyone should just sort of relax and take a break. And ... you know what kind a great SHOPPING season it is now! All the wenches gathered should just forget about any ol' pirate sprint and just concentrate on the holiday shopping... the preparations for Christmas ... and everything else that comes up during this very busy time of year!

Ok what about me LG, I can think of some very good nicknames for me at the moment,

I went to Hospital this morning to have some bone marrow taken out for examination.

This involved four holes being drilled in my right hand side Butt, right up and into the hip bone and boy does it hurt.

The Doctor said I had very strong bones, he couldn't do two holes as my bones were so strong, good news as I am on steroids and they waste bones.

Now -don't laugh, I cannot sit on my right hand side, the 'local' has worn off and I have a pain in my XXXX!
