Stace this will probably have been the longest 5 weeks of your life. I will be so happy for you when you can actually get out and do something fun.:goodvibes

You all will probably hear me whooping and hollering clear across the country!!

Probably heading for bed right now. Have a great night, and a wonderful morning tomorrow, everyone!!

LG! I finally got see Adam's teacher today. (See I didn't forget about you)
But I had printed out a couple of your posts almost a month ago now for Adam to take to school (wouldn't you know he never remembered) because I am horrible when it comes to names and wouldn't you know Bob wanted to keep the paper. Forgive me if I get the names wrong now. One of the men Bob said had passed away. The other I think it was Terry? was in Bob's class. It brought a smile to his face and I am thinking a memory or two. He got to visit with Terry again at the filming for the Marshall movie.:goodvibes
I told him I still hadn't seen it yet (Adam bought it the day it came out) and he said I really need to.:)

PS. took me a bit to explain how I knew you. :rotfl:

We are booked on this repo cruise and want to get some more information on planned activities, linking dining reservations, etc. There used to be a lot of information at the top of this thread, but it seems to have dissapeared since the last time I checked. Was a website ever set up for this cruise? Can someone please direct us to where we join the group? Thanks.

Welcome Back, Mate!

Yes, the website is up, and that's where all the goodies from the front of the thread have gone. Just shoot a PM to tom31b - ye olde webmaster, and he'll get you set up.

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to keep up. Have been having a really rough time with the recovery of this surgery. Seems I hit a snag at every turn and it's really been wearing me down.

I've gained a whole new appreciation for people who spend their lives in wheelchairs. It's a whole 'nother world from this vantage point, that's for sure.
I hope to be semi-walking by the middle of next week. It will have been over 5 weeks by that time.

You hang in there Stace - :grouphug: :grouphug:

Welcome aboard. :yay: We are still in the planning stages but go to the website and have a look around. As Esteri said PM tom31b with your information on the front page.

What airline and what route? We might end up on the same plane home!

Hey Stacey, sorry to hear that recovery is going so slow. Take care of yourself.

We will be taking the 1:20 non-stop out of MCO to LAX on AA. I am willing to spend a few extra $$$ on this to get home at 3:30pm that afternoon. The kids have to start school the next day. :sad1:

 Happy Birthday M!

Just listened to today's podcast show are the rumors sound exciting for the summer of 2009 (Alaska) and summer of 2010 (Trans-Pacific to Hong Kong).......... :goodvibes Also during summer of 2009 and 2010 the Wonder will be doing 3,4 and 7 night cruises.

I think I will have to start saving my pennies for the summer of 2009!!! :thumbsup2

Also, rumor for the names of the two new ships were discussed as well (Dreams and Wishes)............ :goodvibes

You know washing your hands will help prevent the spread of disease. Your player is organic, after all.

Oh, he said he had an organic MP3 player. He was enjoying it so much, I didn't realize I had misread that word.... ;)

Hey Roger, that's the flight we are taking out to LA on the 15th :thumbsup2
The other 2 nonstops left at 7ish and that is just too darn early to get to the airport.

Alright, now there is no denying it! DA BOYS ARE 5-0!!!!!
Granted it was ugly last night but they (somehow) managed to get it done.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

As a lowly Philadelphia fan, I can only wonder if TO's dismal performance last night will cause him to go after the quarterback..... It's what he does best!

Woohooo! I am so ON the Hong Kong one! I never thought they would be doing that so early. I thought that it would not be a possibility until the new ships come out, and even then, I thought it would be awhile, so I am so happy. I will need the time after this PC cruise to save back up for it!

For those that are getting airfare already, are you using FF miles to get them? I looked into my flights, and they are still a little too expensive for me.

Just the same - thanks Andrew for the compliments on 6,700. I had not noticed. And thank you Diane for the encouraging thoughts. Sorry to hear the fish are getting you too...

...it's a carp.
<chuckles>

You're welcome! And that image is hysterical! :lmao:

Tom, Diane and Stace too--hope you all get to feeling better:hug:

Thanks guys! I'm feeling much better today after resting A LOT this weekend! ;)

Tyreak just got a call from one of his friends.

She's having a sweet sixteen party in a few weeks and called to invite him. Cool. He heard about the party and has been waiting/hoping he'd be invited.

Well, knowing her mom, I was expecting a simple little party.

Nope, he's part of the court.:confused3 He needs 3 outfits for this party.
One formal, one casual and one all white outfit for when the court escorts the birthday girl in.

Of course he can't wear anything that's in his closet.

The girl is truly a sweet heart and I love her to death, but man.:sad2:

Of course being the wimp that I am, I don’t have to heart to tell him he can only attend as a guest and not be part of the court.

All I can say to that is WOW!!!

Well, I'm sure Diane is quite happy right about now............34-17 & 9-1...................;)

I am thanks! It was a great weekend for NE fans! :cheer2:

Yeah - we started fund raising in 1st grade for the 8th grade trip - that way the parent swon't have to fork over so much later.

Here, have a 'rita. :drinking1 Or three... :drinking1 :drinking1

My son is selling Scout popcorn. How much would you care to order? :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

Well I'm totally sober right now, but I LOVE popcorn! PM me! :goodvibes

I saw the end of one of those shows, the parents spent over $300,000 for their daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Party...............

We gave Angelina the choice for her 16th, a Sweet 16th Birthday Party or a 7 day cruise on the Magic. I guess you can tell by the photos below what she selected, with no pressure from mom or dad either..............

A girl after my own heart! I'll have to try that on my DD in 2 1/2 years! :flower3:

That's a wonderful way to celebrate a sweet 16th! When I turned 16 I don't think I even got a cake - or gift of any merit. Unlike my spouses' family - mine was kind of one track minded in some ways and didn't really mark birthdays much. If we did it was sort of coincidental as opposed to planned as a special event. My spouses' family - on the other hand - makes a point of marking one anothers' birthdays every year and that's kind of nice.

Same in my family! I didn't have a party until I met DH & his mother had a cake & presents for me after dinner every time it was my birthday! She was so good to me, but she passed a few years ago. :guilty:

So guys/girls, ....

If DCL moved its base to Miami would you be happy or sad?
More expensive or easy to get to?

Would you prefer Tampa?

I of course prefer Southampton UK, but I would settle for Summer months of 2009!

Like everyone else, I think Miami is just too darn far! For purely selfish reasons I would prefer Tampa because I have family out there. But idealy NY would be fantastic!!!

Just wanted to stop lurking for a second and give my vote on the new port.

If for some reason DCL moved away from PC, I would hope they would choose Tampa over Miami. I can't imagine why they would risk moving all the way to Miami,.

As a DVC owner I am estatic over the announcement for DVC Hawaii. Not sure if we will be able to afford to buy into it, but at least it will be another vacation option, if we are able to get in at 7 mo, and hopefully a cruise option as well.

ITA!!! :woohoo:

We usually plan for about a 10-12 night vacation, so it's not uncommon for us to spend 3-5 nights at WDW before/after a 7 night cruise.:)

Same here! :thumbsup2

I went shopping the other day for our princess formal night. Here are my goodies:goodvibes

Wow Alaska sounds neat, but I don't think I'll be taking any flights to Hong Kong! :scared:
