Hi.. and Good afternoon to all..
gonna go ketchup.. so this may take awhile,,:lmao:

I am back from my trip to see my DS and his new house in Portage,Michigan. We took Amtrack for the first time ever!!!:cool1: We left on time from Chicago and only had a 15 minute delay on the way to Michigan. :thumbsup2 Coming back is another story.:sad2: Did not realize but freight trains have the right of way. We were delayed over an hour and a half for just a trip that should only have been 3 hours.:rolleyes1 It was nice to relax but that was a long delay for such a short trip by Amtrack.

Glad you had a good time with your DS. I told you freight trains have right of way! When I went the delay was going to Chicago too. On the way back there weren't any delays. But I still love the romance of riding the rails!

who are you getting emails from??

People in the know!

I think one has been posted elsewhere from a travel agent saying they think its the Carribean and they were correct on 15 night Panama's last year, there are others.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The frenzy surrounding the opening of 2008 Panama Canal sailings resulted in the August crossing selling out within hours and the May crossing selling out shortly thereafter. Except for a brief moment (which may well have been a mistake), neither of these sailings has ever reopened for booking.

Prior to the opening of new Disney Cruise Line dates for public sale, coveted suites and other desirable staterooms first go to those who are waitlisted for them. In addition to getting first choice of stateroom assignments, those who waitlist these rooms often get better pricing as well. Suites and "secret porthole" staterooms (Category 10, Deluxe Inside Staterooms on Deck 5 with obstructed ocean views) are often sold out after waitlists are filled.

We expect Disney Cruise Line's 2009 itineraries to open for booking soon. Based on past history, sailings for early-2009 should open within the next several weeks. Typically, the Disney Wonder sails 3-night and 4-night itineraries from Port Canaveral year-round, while the Disney Magic, which generally sails 7-night itineraries from Port Canaveral, often does special itineraries during the summer months. While many are speculating that the Disney Magic may offer Alaskan itineraries during Summer 2009, we believe that Caribbean itineraries are more likely. If you waitlist now and do not like itinerary or price that you are given, you can always refuse it once your waitlist clears. You are under no obligation. And why stop with 2009? While 2010 is not expected to open for booking for more than a year, we already have many waitlists filed for then. Disney Cruise Line has announced that no waitlists will be taken for new ships scheduled to come out in 2011 and 2012. In attempting to do the best job possible for our guests, we attempted to file hundreds of waitlists for these new ships. These waitlists were rejected.

Why would another TA be someone "in the know"? I heard the rumors of Alaska from a high-ranking officer at DCL last week, someone who was correct about the first PC cruise, even told me which month to plan my trip to DL so I could go to DL and on the Magic. I had also heard the Caribbean from others at DCL because guests wanted the 7 night summer sailings. Since the rumor is that the Wonder will be doing 7 night cruises too, I tend to believe in Alaska for the Magic.

 ...i haven't fallen off at the end of the earth...shocking?

... .

..since my last post, i have been in "thought" over some of the
challenges facing ..our fellow cruisers.....it made me appricated
"lil'kids58 " happy thoughts...for the day. [ ps, i never get tired
reading her.."forecasting"...every day...:) ....]

...while i not been posting, doesn't mean ..i haven't been enjoying
the interacting..kind like sitting quietly...in a party room....watching all
the fun going on & the support offerings, prn.

 ..that i can be soooooo quiet? yeah, my lil'miss cutie..would be
agreeing with you to.

wowsers...i feel a lil'anxious...about how many already have all their plans
set...* as a reminder..i am not the planner or organizer..or anything
offical..."when it comes to our vacations....that would be my lil'miss ",
who has no time to indulge. actually wee lil' bunch are just begining to
put out christmas trip...on our agendas. therefore, i hope others here,
excuse our messy ways of waiting for the last minute...got to saz,
makes things...alot more exciting....

so that means....we still haven't been assigned our rooms yet,
no airline tickets [even to get there] ....& so forth. the most we
have done..is me complaining to my lil'miss about how everyone
packing....in which she 'happily ever after.....responding by...one
her famous quotes.."have @ it"....:rolleyes1 . so that tells whre we are.

ps, i did "stick' the suit cases outdoors..for some fresh air...and hinted
her with a sticky note..., "that's nice dear."

oh, mic~mse, :rolleyes1 ~ mickey all the way { like my jingle? }, it isn't
miss..how you 're sharing your very "thoughful" place..with all of us....
sooo  , in the most delightful ways.

dear pdager....* i will try to bring the paper....that is sooo neat, sharing
the insights..that takes the game way beyond the playing field...:thumbsup2
[ it dosen't matter --if marshall never win again...just to have a team on
the field..brings a whole community together..for a special meaning..& good
:goodvibes. { unfortunately...terry passed away, right before....the movie
opened....however, i am sure your friend's act of kindness ..was in~deed,
a very special comfort measure, & memory. } the winning..play..? "213
bootleg screen"...& coach jack L., stated, "jack crabtree pancaked the
defensive back standing in terry way..so terry could "walk" into the end
zone untouched." ..& while i have no proof, except our future high school
team, were in attendance....& 2 years later, @ our dublin game, is where a
group of high schoolers took up a "collection" ..when a team~mate lost
one of the most prized possession- in high school- a varsity jacket.
.., just becos..they knew the feelings from sharing time together...from
summer practices..thru all the victories..and even the defeats..., the
outcomes were positive! :rolleyes1 , wonder where they gotten the
idea from?..the meanings of the whole story for me, was a summary~ for
finding the courage to keep on living on..even when we lose those close
to us....& that sorta explained why in our safety depsoits boxes are
wdw tickets..to support those "we" care most....

i think having "life" makes every person "living" special...but since death is
also part of the equasion...the art of giving to others ...is the best way-
for not forgetting the things a person shared..also "keeps" loved ones living

in our hearts... , god bless. you are in~deeds..a very special person.

I figured I would try a different approach to see if it works.
If not, I'll go back to hugs and dust and whatnot.

Don't forget the 'ritas. 'Ritas will definitely help Stace feel better. :)

Can someone give me the story with the waitlists? How are the used? How does one get on them? And, how can you possibliy wait list for a cruise that isn't even listed yet? You just waitlist for, oh, a 7 day cruise sometime in August of 2009 - even though you've no idea where you'll be going??

Thanks!

[SARCASM] Now DCL would never float competing rumors with different sources to create a frenzy so that when booking opens on January 31, their phones and computer systems will crash, the ships will be overbooked and a ton of free publicity will be had [/SARCASM]

This one is for all our wine fanciers.

What's a pirate's favorite type of wine?

ChAAARRRRRRRdonay!

Me, I always thought of Pirates as ale drinkers. But, hey, who's to say they can't branch out and try new things... :rolleyes1

You can only get on a waitlist for the suites. Some travel agents may have their own waitlists, but DCL will only waitlist the suites. To get on the waitlist you send a fax to Inventory Control for the dates you are looking for.

Hi everyone! Been keeping up, but trying to get stuff done in real life too so not posting much.

I'm excited! :cool1: Got my DVC membership card last night and confirmation of 2 ressies! The past couple of weeks have been strange so really need something to look forward to! Although we are doing a quickie WDW trip on the 25th!

I just love to get mail from DVC (especially confirmations):thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: My point was simply that they are all rumors. I choose to believe in the Alaska one based on my experiences, but they are all rumors.

I was just taking the opportunity to point out how masterful DCL (or Disney in general) can be with this stuff.:rotfl:

I'm hoping for Alaska in 2010 instead (not sure if the bank book can take another expensive cruise in 2009)
