I haven't ketched up yet so I don't know if anyone has posted about this.
Another useful tool is FareCompare. They will give the air fares for any given route except they also have 2 years of historical pricing data so that you can see when the fares have been lowest in the past.

I don't have to for ketchup right now, but I wanted to check in and let you know that we found a house (rental) in the Mount Vernon area about 3 blocks from the Mount Vernon Yacht Club (we're not rich, but we can see it from here!). There is even a plaque by the front door that says it sits on land that was part of George Washington's Five Farms of Mount Vernon. We're about a mile from George's house. We're going to make a sign for the guest room that says "George Washinton's tobacco slept here" or something like that.
All the other areas we looked in made us grumpy - too much traffic, too many people, too much suburban sprawl. This area is less commercial, less congested and much better for us.
Anyway, I had a 3 hour job interview yesterday that seemed to have gone well & I have an interview at Mount Vernon next week. Of course living a mile away from there, I just guaranteed that I won't get that job...that's the way my life goes.
I hope all is well and I will try to ketchup in a few days.
I didn't post pics of DS and his birthday Crocs....
This is one of the only photos of him standing still in them:

Once they were on, he was off like a shot!

I pretty much had to pry them off him because he wanted to sleep in them!Luckily the easy way to get him out of these things is to show him his Keen shoes...he'll gladly swap because he's a shoe hoe!
You bring up an interesting question -- how much, if any, did they oversell the different categories? Quite often they do far oversell the cat 12s, for instance, leading to many upgrades to at least 11s, but I wonder how many they sold for this one? It's hard to believe that anyone would allow themselves to be "bought out" for this cruise -- it's not like you can get on the next one as you could if you were bought out for a 7 night Western or something.
I know that many people book a cruise and end up having to cancel for all kinds of reasons, but it seems less likely that there will be many on this cruise other than more serious reasons (health, job loss, etc.) I hope DCL kept the overbooking to a minimum for this reason.
Believe it or not, I wouldn't take that deal . . .
Good morning! I've been away a couple days since life is REALLY hectic at the moment. At the office, I am trying to be 4 people and I'm finding it rather challenging!I work for my parents (family business) and usually when they are traveling it is for 1 week or less and most or their work can just wait for them to get back - but this time they are in Europe for just over 2 weeks and I can't just let stuff wait that long. We're a very small company with the 3 of us and 1 assistant. Unfortunately, the assistant is also out of town and won't be back until Wednesday! I keep thinking "at least I'll get even next year when I go on the TOAL!"
Thankfully, DS8 decided he didn't want to be at the office under these conditionsand is going to our park district's day camp this week and next. Monday-Thursday he has swimming lessons at 6pm, so I've been picking him up at camp, getting him a quick snack and then going to the pool. By the time I get home at 6:45, I'm about ready to collapse! DH has been really nice and has been cooking dinner so we can eat as soon as we get home.
I am soooo looking forward to relaxing tomorrow and the Chicago DIS meet on Sunday!

Does anyone else here listen to the DIS Unplugged podcast? I've been listening for nearly a year and really enjoy it. It is hosted by Pete (the guy who started the DIS) and several other folks who help run the site. The Disney info is good and the banter is a lot of fun.
(For those who haven't heard of a "podcast" before - it is sort of like a talk radio show on the internet. You can listen on your computer or download it to your MP3 player.)
I download it every week and then listen to it as I drive to and from work (and chaufering DS8 around). My MP3 player plugs into a little device that broadcasts the sound to my car radio. If you click on the orange bar in my signature, it will take you to the podcast's homepage....

Vegas baby.
We're having technical issues with the chat room, which WebmasterAlex has been trying to work out. I don't know how long that might take.
Sorry about the trouble.
Never mind. It only works with people with Gmail. Tom is the only one that I know of that has one.
I have gmail also (one of my 3 main addys!) but it would be better to find something that everyone can use without having to setup an account. I haven't chatted anywhere but the DIS so I'm not of much help here...
Tom - does Mambo have a "chat" module? If it does, maybe we could get it setup for future emergency chat backup.
Pamela
ThanksI hope Tom adds this to important info
Are you reading this Tom

Mambo? That is a new one for me
I would LOVE to see the shows. Too bad no trip in the nesr future. Darn it!
Was woken up at 4:45am this morning by an earthquake. It was a 4.2 and centered only about 8-10 miles from me. This one lasted quite a while, 15-20 seconds I'd guess. They are usually shorter than that. So far no reports of damage and if there have been aftershocks, I haven't felt any.
Don't forget to follow Mary's (Atakaratemon) trip to Alaska starting today. She is leaving from San Francisco. They have a webcam on the boat (Dawn Princess) to follow along.

Sorry! Techie talkThe software that is behind the website that JR created and Tom is now handling is called Mambo. It has a lot of different modules that can be incorporated into a site - such as the calendar that is on there. I was just asking him if there is a chat module that could be added - in other words being lazy and not going to look it up myself!

No Chat???
I just yelled at ST to get off the 'puter 'cause I was sure that it was his use of the interent that made chat unaccessible.. oh well..

There was a small abnormality but he isn't too concerned about it,could have been a shadow. Supposed to keep doing what I'm doing. I was so afraid they'd find something, that's the kind of luck we've been having lately.
Thank you for all of the well wishes
I truly believe that it made a difference.![]()

I have Yahoo IM!!A specific room on yahoo or just im each other?
Well this is a bummer! I actually had about 45 minutes free to chat tonight (OK - not long compared to some, but pretty good for me!) I was sitting here, root-beer in hand, all ready to join in!![]()
Rootbeer is the closest I can get folks - I'm allergic to alcohol and can't even drink small quantities
