Good Morning its a bank holiday here in the UK, so a day off!

Time for me to hit the road. Gonna get busy for me for a few days. I have the older daughter starting school and my sleep clock is about to get short circuited. Plus I have a LOT on my agenda in the days to come.

Spent some time wondering around the DL Hotel after dinner last night. Looks like they have renamed the three towers. They use to be the Marina, Sierra and Bonita towers are now....



The tower on the East side closest to Disneyland. (Sierra Tower)

Anyone want to make a guess what the next ship name is?
What is the significance of this name change, does it have anything to do with the boats? Maybe there will be some announcement next year when the Magic arrives.

I hope to be in the sierra (Dreams) one next year.

Nah, Dahn't start that agin... How many days do you get off for Christmas? Not to mention how many vacation days you get each year. US is 7 basic (federally mandated) holidays plus usually 10 days discretionary vacation time. I'd put money on you coming out ahead.

The tower closest to the Paradise Pier Hotel. (Bonita Tower)

The tower on the East side closest to Disneyland. (Sierra Tower)

I KNEW IT!! My guess was that the next new ship would be the Disney Dreams....aha! But what about the 4th ship?

Too funny that they've already renamed the buildings in anticipation. I wonder if they realize that the entire DIS Board will be lit up with this info?? Or perhaps they think we wouldn't figure it out..??...


They're obviously preparing for bringing one of the ships to the west coast permanently. But which one?

They're obviously preparing for bringing one of the ships to the west coast permanently. But which one?

I think they still underestimate the power of the DIS Remember that they didn't think we'd notice the filings with the various ports for the 2008 cruises, and (we think) that our discoveries made them release the dates earlier than they had planned. Then there's the whole Panama Canal Tax structure - I'm pretty sure they didn't expect us to figure that out either.

As for the ships, I keep hearing rumors that the Magic & Wonder are both coming out west & the two new ships will be Carribean ships. Truely, I'd move one of the older ships over here & one of the new ships (outfitted for Alaska). As for the 4th ship's name: Imagination (IMHO).

They are starting renovation of DLH this fall and I have heard rumor of some kind of hotel expansion. Would not surprise me that they are planning a 4th tower in the future that will be named after the 4th ship.

That depends almost entirely on what you plan to do with your day. If you're just going to spend it at the park, go with HoJo's. It's not worth the price difference. If you're going to relax at the hotel & hang out in the pool, go with on-site.

As promised I took a few pictures last night.

Salad Bar (they had a wonderful Raspberry Balsamic dressing)

For main course they had prime rib, mini baked potatoes, marinated chicken , wild rice, pot stickers and stir fry.

On the other side was sole stuffed with shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, pork loin, zucchini and mushrooms.

Kids section, pizza, fried shrimp, pasta, hot dogs, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and corn on the cob.
