WHAT?!?!?!? I remember going to the drive in to see The Empire Strikes Back. The first show was sold out so the fathers decided to sit and watch the other movie for the first show...with 3 yo twins, 5 yo sister & 7 yo me. It was The Driver. Needless to say when my sister blabbed about all the nudity to the mothers...well, we were never taken to a drive in again without different supervision.

So... my spouse just called me to say she just heard on the radio about how the FEDs shut down the California program which gives back unclaimed property to folks. IE, if you had a bank account or something which was deemed abondoned - and the holder could not find you - then they gave it to the state to manage. Well... Califonria has been running a program like many other states where you could search for your property and if you apply properly then you could recover it.

Well... the Feds apparently are threatening to (or have already) shut it down on account of California doing something inappropriate in how they manage the program.

As luck would have it - just YESTERDAY I sent my forms off to claim and collect some "property" of mine they were holding. Oh well... at least I know where it is - and when I figure out what they've done wrong manybe I'll be able to follow it to see when I might see to recovering my "property".

Anyone else hear about this? I searched google and the news radio home page (where my spouse heard the news break) and there was nothing on the web as yet. Hard to imagine, eh? More likely I am not running the right key words in the searches.

I hope youa re able to gets yours before this goes into action!

A few years ago I was looking stuff up and found that one of my db had some money in DC (he lived there 2 yrs). He got it and was happy.

Needless to say, it's been a very long day, here is what Angelina's English teacher wrote in the program booklet.

"I have known Angelina through her experience with the morning announcements and in my English III class. She continually impresses me with her maturity and the value she places on education. Angelina is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and I'm sure she will be successful in all her pursuits."

Now that is more important than being recognized for a grade! It is about the kind of person she is.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a great day! As DH pointed out my birthday starts hurricane season and yes it did in fact rain off and on today, but I am used to it now 33 years why break the tradition!! I think I should start renting myself out to those areas of the world who see not rain for years, they can be sure if I were there it would rain! I got to go to dinner with DH and the kid! He isn’t two yet and he ate his weight in pasta. Hopefully all that will turn to lead and keep him sleeping a little longer tomorrow morning! This year must have been the camera birthday as I got lots of things for my Nikon as well as the new Panasonic Lumix with the swankie Leica lens! After my last trip to Delaware I came to the conclusion that the Nikon is wonderful but a bit much to haul about for little trips and such! Dh mumbled something about him getting to use it on the cruise… Yeah we’ll see about that one!
