Yep, same kind of Irish humor in my family Diane. When my grandmother passed in October 1995 she was living with my mom and step-dad in Florida. My grandmother was the last surviving sibling in her family and she wanted to be buried on top of her parents graves here in NJ. My mom brought my grandmother's ashes with her on the plane in a carry-on piece of luggage. My mom flew up on a Friday evening and the graveside service was scheduled for Saturday morning. Hazel, Angelina and I went to the airport to pick my mom up and since my mom hadn't eaten all that day, we stopped at a Denny's for supper. My grandmother really enjoyed going to Denny's when she was alive, so I asked my mom if she wanted to bring Gram in with her while we ate, my mom said, "Yea, why not, she always enjoyed eating here." So, I opened the trunk, took out the carry-on and carried it into Denny's with us. If anyone heard us asking Gram what she wanted for dinner, they would have thought we went off our rocker. We had so much fun that evening, and I know my Gram enjoyed it as well............
I sure do miss that old bird..................
