BTW Lisa (lbgraves), you had asked if I thought of the possibility that they sold luggage where she was? No worries there...she came back with an extra bag! (Needed to hold the replacement stuff she had to buy) Actually, the bag was ours! Remember when I said I have a luggage fetish? Well in my never ending quest for the perfect mix of luggage (carry-on, pullman, garment bag, duffels etc) we have amassed enough luggage that we can loan pieces out to friends and not worry if they don't come back! Evidently we have luggage in every city where we have close friends/family.

Now THAT is priceless!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying this Monday. Yesterday President Bush along with Mrs. Bush were in in Williamsburg, VA for the 400th celebration of Jamestown Settlement (remember Pocahontas and John Smith?) President Bush even conducted the orchestra for a few minutes at the concert last evening. The past few weeks here have been very busy with the queen here the first weekend in May, then this past weekend with the
400th anniversary and the beginning of tourist season here.

LET THE TRAFFIC BEGIN!!!!!

The TA at DU said they could not do that.

I booked a cat 8 (I actually have a room number). After I booked I transfered to DU. After we went on our April 1st cruise I was kicking my self for not booking the cat 6 for the TOAL. When we got back I contacted DU to let them know I wanted to upgrade. They said no can do. I asked them to keep a look out for either a cancellation of a DU client or a someone who wanted to down grade. Again they said, no can do. They said they suspect DCL overbooked & they're taking all of the cancellations.

They suggested I contact DCL myself at the 90 day mark.

DU is not going around the system to do this. There have been things done from the first day bookings opened that should never have been allowed unfortunantly.

Under the category "Boy that MR sure is CHEAP" I did my Ebay sweep over the last few nights. I go to the Lancome counter, try the new colors, then go on Ebay and buy everything for a fraction of the price God Bless America!

While this extremely irritating situation may not deter me from patronizing Wal-Mart for general merchandise, it makes me wonder if perhaps we should just do our grocery shopping someplace that specializes in such things. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Say that's what I have! Felt like hammered dog s**t for the past several days and now I have this really dry throat, a dry hacking cough that just irritates everyone and a crackly voice like I'm going through puberty DW came home with the same thing and a guy I know in TX says 4 people in his department are out sick with the same thing!

At least the chills/fever have gone away.

So what was it? I am going to the doctor tomorrow to find out what this crud is.

We have a Webelos and about to be Bear here. There are a bunch of kids in Scouting that will be on the trip from the little bits and pieces I have seen on the thread.

Mine is a former scout, got up to Webelos but didn't move on to Boy Scouts since I knew he would struggle with middle school homework.

Hello folks...


I'm just passing through. All caught up to this point and I saw my Dad for lunch today. We tried a new restuarant today... huge crowd and relativly nice new layout. And the food was good too. So now I have a new place for Dim Sum in the San Gabriel Valley to visit.

Aside from that I have to get to my chores around here before the kids need to be picked up. My spouse is away for company training til wednesday evening in New Jersey (Hey Andy!) - then thursday we drive out to SF... while accompanying the spouse on her job in Central California. IE... when she finishes her day we'll end up with a tolerable drive to SF... except for the fact it will be a L-O-N-G day in the van! That evening we'll hook up with several family members who are gathering in SF for the weekend. Then on Monday I'll hop a train from Central Coast arriving just in time to get the kids to school. The older one has 2nd session K-school... so we will make it comfortably.

Starting thursday I'll be 99% out of touch til monday evening. With any luck I'll be on hand for the next pirate sprint... as I seem to have missed the last dozen opportunities!

OK... gotta get some gardening done now.... Tonight I'm dining out with the kids ... my usual routine when the spouse is gone.
