Just for a few laughs.

Difference Between Women And Men

1.NAMES

If Laurie , Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara go out for lunch, they will call each other Laurie , Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara.

If Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Scrappy.

2.EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in a $20 , even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the women get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

3.MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need, but it's on sale.

4.BATHROOMS

A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Marriott.

The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

5.ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that... Is the beginning of a new argument.

6.CATS

Women love cats.

Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

7.FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

8.SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

9.MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change , and she does.

10.DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

11.NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

12.OFFSPRING

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

Roger,I don't know if you can answer this or not. I know that at the Hojo, Mimis Cafe is just thru the parking lot, so not a long walk, but since the Candy Cane Inn came up the other night, do you know if this is walkable and how far it is and does it entail walking across the street? This may be a important piece of Info. Thanks if you can.:thumbsup2

Arlene here is a quick aerial view of the three places you requested. HOJO is at the top, Mimi's is across the street or parking lot. The Candy Cane Inn is exactly 1/2 mile from Mimi's but it is on the same side of the street. Hope this helps.

A friend just sent this video to me, and I thought I would share it.

So here is why I am sk8ingmom:

Been skating since I was 3. Did OK in freestyle (the solo jumps and spins), messed around with pairs (even did a lift once with Olympic silver medalist Peter Carruthers), loved ice dance, but partners are hard to find. But I LOVED synchro. What's that, you say? (see link). It is basically ice dance/pairs for 20-24. I was there for the early days (skated in the 2nd-7th National Championship and again 8-9-10 years later). I retired when I went to college...but I un-retired at age 23 when we were in San Diego. 1/2 way through my last season I got pregnant with DS. DS8 was in 3 competitions and 2 ice shows in utero - I lovetoremindmy hockey player! The first board I ever joined was a "Holy Shirt I'm Pregnant" Board. Thus the name sk8ingmom.

Anyway - if you so desire, check out 3:45 of a little known sport.

It is from the Synchronized Skating World Championship this year.
If it looks scary now...imagine the first run-through of the season!

This is why I don't let hockey players call figure skaters wimpy!!!

But where are the liquor stores? :confused3

At 4am this morning we recieved a call from the hospital informing us that my Father had died. :scared1:

He would have been 87 on the 16th of this month. We're just thankful it wasn't a long drawn out ordeal for him.

I'm so very sorry. My prayers are with you and your family. :grouphug:

Going to Disneyland tomorrow!! :cool1: First time since Janurary, which is really bad for us. If anyone would like pictures of a particular area of DL or California Adventure let us know. Unfortunately we will not have time for pictures of the surrounding area. Will have time for that later. We are eating at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian and will take pictures of that.

We were thinking of going too...

... seeing as we're gonna get blacked out for the summer - we only have one thing that sort of breaks the day up - a birthday party at foo-foo-frigglys' (or something like that)... so I was wanting to go BEFOREE or AFTER the party. Not sure what we'll do - as we'll have to see what developes in the morning.

So ... on another note... the stairs are mounted to the bunk bed - and the next stage of developement will be the framing for the safety rail/ stair bannister and framing for the corner tower. I was about to make it a sitting tower with trap door to the ladder - but it turned out to be too bulky looking... so I am just gonna make a tower with window and call it quits. I already made the trap door and sitting platform frame - so I'll just use this for the slide on the side. So - the slide will have a trap door that provides access to a ladder off the side.

After the frame is done I'll worl on the facade. I've got the granite spray paint and foam insulating panel to cut into faux bricks ro glue to the thin plywood facade. So - this should be fun... or at least to me it seems fun. The slide design is still being rethought a little. The melanine panel I have is only 11" wide and I noticed they have a 15" wide panel. So I was going to return the 11" in favor of the 15". Some kids have wide rumps and the 11" may not handle some kids. Not that my kids NEED the wide slide now... I guess I just want enuf room for ME to make it down the slide!

Ok... back to wandering backwards a little before I turn in for the evening....

''Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now approaching London Gatwick, please put your seat belts on, the temp is a 'cool' 1c at the moment, and theres no smoking to you are inside the terminal building.

Please do not worry about the noise, that is the Captain lowering the undercarrige, and your luggage being scattered all over East Sussex and the M23''

''The Gatwick Express is not working and a bus replacement service is in operation. Roadworks at the M23/M25 interchange mean there is a three hour tailback. And since last Saturday Simon Cowell is back on ITV with X Factor''

We have our AC repairman coming in less than two weeks to service our central air unit to make sure it is in good working order for the coming summer. With the heat and humidity we get around here, I need the AC so I can sleep through the night. With ceiling fans in each room, I usually have the thermostat set at 78* during the summer.

Better get that repair man in there before the heat and demand jumps!

I'm like that guy in twilight zone who finally had the time to read all the library books...

but his glasses were smashed and he was the last human alive.

That would be Burgess Meredith in "Time Enough At Last"... a memorable episode and performance by the late Meredith I might add!

 "Good Morning Folks"

I can't believe it, but I actually slept in this morning until 7:15.............:lmao:
