They just issued wind warnings for 50 mph+ through 6 pm tonight!!

and they're not kidding about that 50mph....

There were a few gusts last night around 11pm that shook the house.. (and we're a middle unit townhouse...)

How many and when/where?

We will be in Wilderness Lodge last week of June (21-29)

I just booked a mommy/DD trip during free dining Sept 20-23rd... Staying at Carribbean Beach.

Also going is my DIS friend from work KATH1210 who has a dd the same age as mine....

Should be short but fun trip.... MNSSHP is fri night.. Maybe a water park that morning. Then we'll have a park day Sat and then finish up with breakfest at Chef Mickey's.

Just stopped at the house for a few minutes. Man is it nasty out there, water, water everywhere. I've seen retention basins that hardly ever have water in them that are filled with water 6' to 8' deep. Still many flooded roadways as well. I can't even get to one area that I was going to be reading meters in today because the road is blocked off from flooding overnight. The Little League fields in our town are completely under water, no games there for a few days, and they just had opening day this past Saturday.

Oh well, time to get back to work, wish me luck, if I don't drown, driving around town this morning, I'll check back in at lunchtime..............

I never had thought about being a lawyer till a few friends in college suggested it as I "love to argue." I tried the LSAT, tested well and figured why not?

I started out wanting to be a lawyer...then decided that I couldn't defend someone I knew was guilty so switched to paralegal so that I could do the research that I loved but not go to court. I loved debate in HS too. I turned to PS for college because I decided to pursue a career in international relations with my dream job being cultural attache in the American embassy in Moscow. I was on my way to achieving that when the cold war ended & funding was cut for intel officers in the Navy...before my OCS classdate. Of course if I had pursued that path I wouldn't have met DH.
