I was talking with some neighbors down the street when DS rode up on his bike with something in his hand. He let it drop...it was a snake skin taller than him!!!! He found it outside the garage door. It is at least 5 feet long.

Bringing little sister a present!

Oh no. DD was just as anxious to get to it. It is mommy who freaked out seeing it on the kitchen counter after they came inside. They were suppose to take it to school & leave it with the science teacher. The girls in DS's class were afraid of it so he brought it home.

None because I want to be able to go on trips without having to worry about making arrangements.

How long have you had your pet(s)?
We have had 2 cats here. Both have been gotten rid of do to a bad habit of peeing everywhere when they were upset. The last one also bit at DS before DD was born. One was returned to my sister and one was taken to the animal shelter to be adopted.

What is/are your pet(s) name(s)?
The last cat was Pogo because he would jump up at the reflection in the tile when he was a kitten.

What will you do with your pet(s) while on the TOAL?

We're driving west on I-70 between Frederick and Hagerstown, MD. We are going at a snail's pace. There must be an accident up ahead.

A Ford Excursion just passed us with the license plate that says:

My DW figured it out first:

They also had a chrome Mickey head cover for the hitch.

So DW and DS made it into Philly okay. I guess the flight was rather smooth. I'm assuming DS slept the entire way since the flight left at midnight. BUt that was the end of things going smoothly

Airline lost DW's suitcase. And the baggage officer person was probably more concerned about the dead bug on the bottom of her shoe! (Welcome home sweetie ) So DW has a phone number to call (no claim number mind you) and she has 24 hours before the bag is considered "lost". Did I mention that DS' diapers are in that suitcase? Granted we're not using the cloth pocket diapers right now but it's still a pain for her to have to hit the store just because of these bozos!

No Skycaps at the baggage claim area that timeof day (0530) but hey, she had only one (not two) suitcase to deal with alsong with the baby stroller and the baby in his car seat. At least we have that attachment that turns the car seat into a piece of rolling luggage.

No car rental shuttle. They finally came and got her....but no car!!! Silly silly DH set up the rental for 5/1 but the overnight flight arrived on 5/2!!!! Of course they were totally out of cars! They did scrounge up a Chevy Aveo....hmmmm DW, DS, DS' car seat, big duffel bag, plus 2 other friends and their crap heading up to Nana's house? No way. Instead, they gave her the keys to a brand new 2007 Jeep Commander!

So now they are at our friend's house and she's trying to relax...kinda hard to do when you don't have anything to change into!

Gabbie!n I hope that her luggage shows up soon.

Well, this might have been one of the quickest prom dates in history. I guess when the young man heard that he had to meet the parents of his "date to be" he remembered that he had other plans for that evening. Sorry, but our ST doesn't go out with "ANYONE" unless we meet him first.

Actually, Angelina is a bit relieved, the only reason she was going to go was because her friend set up the date.

That is crazy! Glad that Angelina isn't upset about it. Maybe since she already has the dress picked out...she can ask her friend to go. I went to both of my proms with friends. It was a lot of fun to see everyone.

oh, no no no....that wasn't our kitchen!

DW would poop a brick if I put her in a house with an electric stove! It's gas or it doesn't get cooked! We like LG appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher) but the house came with KitchenAid and Whirlpool Gold appliances.

I have to admit that I too am a gas snob - I've never had an electric oven but I've used them elsewhere and I don't like them. I haven't used LG yet, but I love Kitchenaid (have not one but 2 of their mixers - one is the heavy duty kind!) and Kenmore.

I've been thinking about going back to the "purity" of coal but DW loves the instant gratification of gas cooking. Any ideas?

What about one that has both capabilities? Our does, though we still haven't done the charcoal since we got it last year. It's nice to have the option.

I am grossly underpaid I am a stay at home mom who runs a business out of the home. I need a raise.

I work a full-time job in addition to all that stuff and I don't get paid nearly enough! I need a raise too!

FINALLY something is going right with this &*#@ move.

I posted our house for rent on a military rental site on Saturday night. On Sunday, we got an e-mail from a couple who was in town house hunting.
We cleaned frantically Monday night, they came to see it Tuesday and again last night. After walking through one more time they wanted to sign a lease!!!

I had them fill out an application. My brother's Big Boy job is with a corporate screening firm (he's the one who owns & runs a record store), so he's checking up on them right now, but by the end of the day our house should be rented.

Be back later - I have to go edit a lease.

There goes the Pirate Vacation Club (PVC) I was going to propose in a few weeks! Welcome Home!

Happy pay day!



Well I got something of a raise today! When I transfered to the new location, dopey me didn't check that my salary increase went into effect. I did see they deposited the correct amounts for the relocation incentives (some salary based) but didn't check much beyond that. So when performance appraisal time came, I got the notice and was puzzled as to why my new salary was LOWER that what I should be getting anyway.

Turns out some bozo didn't enter the correct salary for my transfer! I counteroffered the salary from the initial offer which was accepted. But someone didn't see the new (higher) amount and put that in for the transfer. I can only be mad at myself for not following up on that. Anyway, Payroll did their investigation--turns out I'm not the only person this has happened to--and today I got all the monies based on the higher salary retroactive ot the transfer date.

Anything that covers the final layer of clothing (other than underwear) is considered outerwear and they want you to remove it. But if you do only wear the hoodie you can tell them you're nekkid underneath and they'll either do nothing or the guys will climb over themselves to do the pat down search! When DW, DSIL and I were on our way to the Bahamas for a quick vacation, there was this girl in line: 20something, hardbody, very uh perky , flip-flops, white gauzey pants with some kind of tummy length gauze jacket. She looked a lot like this

But this is what the outfit really looked like (1st row, 3rd photo and 2nd row, 2nd photo) except the Ujena robe would have to be cut to just below her, uh, firetrucks

Angelina really had no plans of going from the start, she was just going to go as a favor for her friend's friend. But as I stated before, she doesn't go out with anyone unless we get to meet him first. The funny thing is, Angelina had never even met the boy she was to go with, so she would be meeting him for the first time when we did. Since the boy doesn't go to our high school, he had to get a permission slip filled out with a photo ID and had to get the permission slip signed by the principal of the school he attends. Maybe he felt there was too many things that needed to be done, plus having to come and meet Angelina, Hazel and I.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip will be arriving here in Richmond VA in 30 minutes. After reception they will be heading for here in Williamsburg, VA and tour Colonial Williamsburg and tomorrow tour Jamestown settlement.
Hopefully I will get a glimsp of her tomorrow.
