Mark

Hey Mark, welcome back! We missed ya!

As far as pets go, we have one

She's a dalmatian princess

princess.jpg

We have had her 10 years, she was about a year old when we got her, but the prior owner had done no shots, she had bad skin rashes, etc.

Her name (not named by us) is Miranda

For the TOAL, she gets to go to "Camp Grammy", my in-laws, where she will play with Grammy's obese lab, run around in the woods, get lots of table scraps and leftovers, but will still be thrilled to see us when we get home.

She's a beautiful dog Tom. It's nice that you can travel and know she is really well cared for while you're gone.

Ahh, frenchie by marraige only...100% Italian by birth. My maiden name is very long and ends with an "o" ;) . And seeing that I am one of the few remaining on this thread without a tag, I think I may have pissah'd someone off :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mary Ann, I am not Italian (17 generations American) but am married to a 100% Italian. As you can see I to have not been tagged. Do you think that it is an Italian thing? :rotfl2:

If he looks like this pirate: and has a blended cocktail in one hand and cake in the other, I think we've found our mascot!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK, is anyone else tempted to call NJ information & ask for Mr. & Mrs. Toal to see if we can convince them to answer the door that way?

Just so Andy can report back to us that he pooped a brick (again).

Oh I so relate with your sense of humor!!! :rotfl2:

BTW M. - how is the pup doing? Max got the last of his puppy shots and weighed in at 57.5 lbs. a Big pup! He & Annie have bonded so well - although at 2 yrs she can't quite keep up w/his puppy energy!! Max can now go to the dog park - run out some of that energy!! I'm looking forward to spending some time at our family ranch this summer - then they can really run!!

I had a long but uneventful drive up hwy 5 from So CA to No Ca - I am tired though - the dogs have already crashed. I'm watching my Giants struggling w/the Phils (9-7 bottom of 7th) - I've been a fan for so long - frustrated fan I should say!

Early HAPPY TGIF to Everyone!!!!!!

Hi There Everyone!! Happy Thursday!

Can't wait for CHAT tomorrow!!

I spent part of tonight buying trip insurance for our TOAL. We always use Access America on our own because the price is Great!! The Family Basics package includes kids under 18 for FREE (That is is favorite word)!! Well is Taryn will turn 18 soon I wanted to buy it before then. It's not the sailing age that counts, but the age at purchase.

For those of you interested in Trip Insurance and haven't purchased it through DCL, check it out. We paid $116 each for pax 1 & 2 with pax 3 & 4 for free and that's for $12,000 worth of insurance (trip cancellation) and I included a estimated amount for airfare. It also has $100,000 medical transportation and $20,000 medical and dental coverage.

I know we don't like to think of these things (especially cancellation) :scared1: But I really buy trip insurance for the medical transportation. If anything happens to me or mine I want to be airlifted by helicopter to the U.S. if humanly possible!

But MR...where is the additional blender coverage???

We get our insurance from a company that includes military deployment as a covered reason for cancelation. Sad but true that our life insurance is also missing the 'act of war' clause. I think our TI was about $250 to TOAL. I bought it the day after we booked. The company is Travel Insured & we get a discount through USAA - our everything else insurance company.

One advantage to my new unemployment is that I can log on for chat when it starts at 5 pm (my time).

That is one big puppy! Our old lab/springer maxed out at 65 lbs.

Malley is just swell. We need to find a way to stop her from trying to eat the kids, but otherwise good. I think DH & I have established a good alpha male, alpha female thing with her, but she seems to think the kids are fellow puppies, so she 'plays' with them - and that always includes teeth! DH has been running her on his bike, she does OK with direction commands, but missed once and laid him out, BOOM - grown man basically over the handlebars! I'm going to try rollerblading with her tomorrow. I can't run her, she is much faster than I am. Of course, that isn't saying much!

I need to get her to the vet for a check up & shots. Now that I am quasi-unemployed it will be easier. I'm almost done with my old job, but I have a few consulting things lined up to keep me busy until we leave at the end of June.

I love dog parks! We took our old dog to Dog Beach in San Diego all the time.

How is Max obedience-wise?

We went to Uno's for dinner. Our high school's National Honor Society was having a fundraiser with 20% of sales between 4pm-10pm being donated to their Operation Blessing fund. Tonight was the first time I tried Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, and I must say, I really did enjoy it..........:thumbsup2 I know we will be going back to Uno's again!!! :)

I do like Uno's pizza. I used to go there all the time when I lived back home in Syracuse.

I have to admit that I too am a gas snob - I've never had an electric oven but I've used them elsewhere and I don't like them. I haven't used LG yet, but I love Kitchenaid (have not one but 2 of their mixers - one is the heavy duty kind!) and Kenmore.

I also prefer a gas grill. Less clean up. Also have a Kitchenaid Mixer.(my favorite!!)

Karen--Where you have "Someday my prince will come!" if the tag fairy so chooses, the tag fairy can add color to that tag, and may also add other tags as well under your user name.

THANKS FOR THE INFO! I'M GOING TO BE LOOKING INTO THIS TODAY!
After the kids go to school, i get the day off with only my youngest ds!! WOOHOO!!! Tomorrow we go on a bus trip to NYC!! so i really have to figure out a plan for our daytrip...i'm taking my 2 oldest dk's, and i really want them to see and experience the city!
hope everyone has a great friday....see you tonite in chat!

Angelina really had no plans of going from the start, she was just going to go as a favor for her friend's friend. But as I stated before, she doesn't go out with anyone unless we get to meet him first. The funny thing is, Angelina had never even met the boy she was to go with, so she would be meeting him for the first time when we did. Since the boy doesn't go to our high school, he had to get a permission slip filled out with a photo ID and had to get the permission slip signed by the principal of the school he attends. Maybe he felt there was too many things that needed to be done, plus having to come and meet Angelina, Hazel and I.

Ah, blind date...hated them!
