Never heard the "White Rabbits" expression David. But I've been known to say "Happy May Day" on the 1st of May. I was going to say that in my "Good Morning" post this morning, but I wasn't sure if anyone would know why I was saying that....................

I've got to get a move on it and get the coffee made for my ST, will be back later and check in............ for now and have a "Happy May Day" all.

Andy - I almost posted "HAPPY MAY DAY". Big celebration in my church back home. I just realized this not that it means anything 41 years ago today I made my First Holy Communion. I alway remember the date!!!

Hey Andy - one year on a cruise - my DS ST 17 at the time was a runner - I had several people on the cruise saying Hi to him on his runs - he's easy to spot - he was about 5'7" tall, thin and a red head - with no freckles - he stood out and still does - he had a curl hair afro - all the rage at the time - by the 4 day he was asking me to call off the watchdogs as they were popping up all over the place - didn't help that he was caught by one girls father as they were 'examining the stars'

Dad was a good sport - thawed out after DS apologized and told him his DD was so beautiful that he couldn't resist the "Magic" :lmao: :rotfl2:

I swear it worked! :thumbsup2

That's too funny and cute at the same time!!! :goodvibes

Karen
Not nearly as much as something like NEAT-O or NIFTY! :rotfl:

Thanks Paula - I realized this weekend that my other pic was more than a year old. DH & I look the same, but my monkeys are growing up...snarfle.

Monkees have a way of doing that! My monkee is 34yo!

I'm a single mom this week as DH is off on Reserve duty at the AF Academy.

My Dsis is in the AF too. She is in reserves. She was supposed to finish her two weeks active duty on Saturday at a base near Norfolk. On her last day she decided to go for a run. Well, half-way through the run she felt like a tear through her groin/quadricept area and went down. It hurt so much she couldn't even walk. Luckily a marine came along and piggyback'd her back to where she was staying and there was still one girl from her unit there who helped her get to an emergency clinic. She finally drove back to Philly Sunday night in pain and now has to be on active duty another two weeks so they can diagnose what's wrong. Her civilian job is gonna love that. :sad2:
Lesson: exercise can hurt you....

I'm glad too because I've seen some other "slightly older" (than the 10yr old niece) child relatives of mine and their pages and what they are posting, pictures they are showing, etc. and it's disturbing. Disturbing enough that I and other family members are wondering if these children's parents (that are also relatives obviously) are aware of what is going on.

Gee and here all my dd has is a "Happy Feet" rap video on hers......

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the day that Caroline returns and responds to 6 weeks worth of posts?

I was just thinking the same thing about Caroline last evening, what fun she will have when she can get back on the thread....................

Spoke with Caroline on Sunday night...

She's been ok but busy...Shuttling kids to dance, piano, softball, Girl Scouts, etc....

The girs are preparing for their recital soon....

Sarah has been getting some good hits in Softball.

Dena and Amanda had a fever over the weekend so weren't feeling good. (Caroline mentioned her girls are usually not sick so this is a little strange.)

Other than that she is still coming on TOAL.....

Oh and she was talking to friends of hers and found out that they are booked on TOAL too.... SMALL WORLD...

Sending me on a wild goose chase? Because brackjr isn't showing up anywhere -searching by name, display name, nothing. ZERO with that name. ??

Nope. I finally found yours and sent you a PM with my URL. I also asked to be your friend. You have done a great job on the site!

White Rabbits !!

The "White Rabbits" is said on the 1st of May in the UK - tell me if you do the same in the USA !! :flower3:

Best wishes for today

David

We only say Happy May Day but White Rabbits sounds so much cooler! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone! :goodvibes

Maybe I'm overprotective of my kids but this it the reason that POC #1 we (DH and I) went to see alone and then POC #2 we weren't able to go alone so I went alone. I did buy the DVD of both and they can watch it at home- but we can monitor that... for instance not let the youngest two watch anything remotely gory or scary because we don't want to deal with nightmares later on! LOL it's harder to control that when you're in a movie theatre. So I guess what I'm saying is that we let them watch stuff at home- because we can say close your eyes or go to your room until we call you or whatever is necessary.

ITA that it is completely different watching a movie at home on a smaller screen & with the volumn turned down to a resonable level than watching it in a theater with surround sound. When DS first watched HPI he didn't like the scene with the screaming book or the dog barking so we muted those parts. He could watch it without the sound & be fine though....go figure! LOL!

I have no idea what you're talking about on the hit backspace 2 times stuff. What exactly are you trying to explain there? Seriously I'm lost.

There is a green arrow at the top left of the window with the word BACK. If you click on that it will go back to the previous page so that you will be back where you were before you responded or posted. :)

Not too many people respond by quoting me anyway- and the benefits of me multi-quoting far outweigh the very slight possibility that someone might quote me and have to delete out the parts of my post they don't want to reply to.

Funny you mention this because that is exactly what I am doing this morning. :lmao:

And poo- a new set of CJS or similar movies? NOT THE SAME. And if it doesn't have Johnny Depp- forgetaboutit. I'm so not interested if that is the case. Seriously.

Todd posted a while ago that JD is already negotiating for POC 4 & 5. He is already committed to two other films first so there will be a couple years inbetween 3 & 4.

Has Andrew UK chimed in on this yet?

Useless knowledge fact of the day:
You know our friends across the pond will say that we Yanks have it all wrong! That's because the USA (and ony 4 other countries) use the mm/dd/yy(yy) format which is incorrect. The "correct" date format according to 72 countries is dd/mm/yyyy. (Nevermind that the ISO 8601 international standard for date and time representation is yyyy-mm-dd.) Anyway, the whole numerology thing breaks down if one uses the more common (in terms of countries' use) format of dd/mm/yyyy.

So under the more common use, 02:03:04 05/06/07 will in fact occur about a month later and the 03:04:05 06/07/08 is even closer to the TOAL.

Contrary to popular rumor, I didn't actually fall off the face of the planet. Yes, that means those horrible Jokes of the Day are Back!!!

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
What is a pirate's favorite mythological tale?
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
Jason and the ARRrrrrrgonauts!
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

:sad2:

I'm nearly 100 pages behind now - so I'll probably just pick up with the last 15 or so and try to figure out what I missed. Sorry for any future groundhogs.

They are not horrible, I actually miss them when you aren't around!

MUST...FIGHT...URGE...TO...SPEND...MORE...MONEY...ON...DCL...
GROWING...WEAKER...

Give in, fights not worth it.

Imagine if they sailed out of Philly with one of the new ships..... I'd go broke...

One last thought before I got to bed...

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the day that Caroline returns and responds to 6 weeks worth of posts?

:rolleyes1
