Welcome Back!!

Thanks M....I thought of you while driving there and back. It wasn't too bad, the kids did really well. Of course, I'm soooooo sick of fast food now!

We took our dvd player, and I watched Vacation & European Vacation on the trip. I had forgotten how funny those movies are.

Since I was back on Death Row today, otherwise known as Old Coot's Lane, I could have used alot of Devil's Juice today!!!

GET THIS

The 81 year old female boss said to me today "I guess you enjoyed your vacation because you got really fat again" :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 Devil's Juice TAKE ME AWAY!!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

In some workplaces, that comment would have resulted in a vist from HR and Legal. In my workplace it would have gotten her a Jersey salute and some choice language.

Well...

... we all know what happens to the Evil ones at the end of the usual stories, eh?

Okay , the deed is done ....Have been on the waiting list and the call came today ...So with alot of hesitation I drove down to my buddy who did my back and here is the result ...And yes I was very nervous because even though I have ALOT of Tattoo work none of it can be seen with shorts and a t shirt on ...So I was nervous about the fact this was my first one that is exposed ...

Okay , I know you all know now that I am nuts , but I guess that actually proves it ...LOL So what do you think ??? Should I be commited ?

pirate:

glad to see the sparrow facing the correct direction :rotfl: do I get a prize or something?

Very nice Captain!

Awesome! :thumbsup2
Gotta love the Craftsman tool box in the room. ;)

I have no idea why, but Jay asked me last night if I still had my tattoo. Why wouldn't I?? Did he think it was going to disappear? And doesn't he ever LOOK?? :lmao:

LOL....my son asked me the same thing a few days ago...he really did think it would fade away.

But as for yours, isn't Jay your DH? I think I'd be offended if my DH (if I were married) would ask such a question.

Just wanted to pop in and say YAY!

I just had a lovely conversation with the HR manager of what seems to be a great org. in DC. It was a pre-screening interview. I think it went well. Fingers crossed and all....

In similar news.
My board officially hired my replacement last night. She starts April 30. I'll work part time for 2 weeks, then twiddle my thumbs for a month & a half before we can leave (imagine my post count...). DH's Change of Command is sched. for 6/29, so we are jumping on the poor man's Alaska cruise (state ferry) on 7/2. A real cruise would be great, but I can't check my SUV and my puppie on Princess or Norwegian.

Hi All,

Just had to sign back in real quick. Just arrived home a few minutes ago from picking Angelina up from work. She got out a little late, but was carrying a B-a-B box with her. Little did I know, she had made me an "early" birthday present at work tonight, I have attached a photo below. You should have seen me grinning from ear to ear when I opened the box.

very cool.....I want one

Another Class of '86 grad here! :thumbsup2

Dh and I also are '86 grads! Dh will just have turned 40, I will be just shy of my 40th as of cruise time. We should have a big ol' party to celebrate everyone's 40th b-days next year. Sounds like there are loads of us!

Task Force?

Well...since I'm here anyway.

Nobody hate me - Class of '90. DH - '89

LOVE those movies!
The road trips are sort of fun, but there is nothing quite like a month of fast food and sitting on my add in the car to ruin my girlish figure.

It won't be any better calorie-wise, but we are going to attempt this trip without eating at a national chain resaurant. Taste American - find the local greasy spoons!

Think WW will throw me a welcome back party?

Funny story about Ursula. I'm blind. Like honest to God legally blind without my contacts/glasses. Well having a DB who is 10 years younger than me, he was just a kid when Lil Mermaid came out. So he got a McD Happpy Meal toy that was a suction cup Ursual. I didn't know he had it...until I got in the shower, blind as a bat and turned around to see the great big fuzzy black thing stuck to the side of the tub! :scared1: Spiders don't bug me, but this looked like a tarantella to my blind eye! YIKES! I knocked the shower door off the runner jumping out of the tub! :lmao:

:rolleyes1 , allshookup...though it is my unbirthday... would you make

Well wishes on your husbands' new assignment - and the adventure and discovery the new vistas will bring. I believe I've already mentioned how I've lived myentire life within about 60 miles of where I was born - and I would welcome a change of scenery if it was convenient or a normal part of our careers. Oh well... maybe some day we'll really retire and get that motor home I've mused over and see this grand and beautiful country of ours at a liesurely pace. Until that days rolls around I'll have to ust day dream here with my sailing co-conspirators about the upcoming TOAL ... this is gonna be our longest sailing ever and one we're not sure we're gonna repeat too soon. As yet there are so many other things to do and places to vist on th planet - and soon enough we're gonna have 2 more DIS ships to hop 'round the planet! Wooo Hooo,...

ny minute now my spouse is gonna knock at the hotel door and I'll be off for the day.... driving back from Bakersfield to home to hook up with our daughters' doctor. She awakened this morning with a ever - one I'm sure came from her Maui cousin who was jut coming down with a fever on Sunday. RATS.... and we're scheduled to travel to Vegqs on Thursday too....:rolleyes1

By the way... I've always wanted to take the Alaskan Ferries for a tour of some Alaskan ports... it sounds like a real adventuresome journey!

These are so wonderful - had to pirate: them!!!

Happy, Happy B'day to both Dylan and Lauryn !!!!!!

We are on our way to the San Diego Zoo - we went yesterday also - it's so big that we are taking 2 days to see it all.

Monica, Lori (DD) wanted me to be sure and tell you how great Trevoy is. The first thing he said when he & Jack caught up w/her in line is to ask Jack to iintroduce him!!! Great job you're doing Mom!!!
It was fun on Sunday - I still don't believe that I actually went on Space Mountain!!! Maybe I'll take up hang-gliding next!

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

Later, Chris

Aw...thanks....we always know how our kids act in front of us...it's great to hear that they keep it up when we're not around too.

Have a great time at the zoo!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a great day. Got to spend it in Disneyland.

Unfortunately I'm back home and back to work. Still ketchup'ing.

Oh Monica....Happy belated Birthday! Glad to hear you had a good time at DL

For what it's worth,...

I'm laughably afraid of spiders too!

WOW!!!

I drop one complementary remark about the nice cake images being posted and I now I see this HUGE recap with cakes and well wishes already having been posted. It sort of makes me feel.... GUILTY for having not been around to post B;day well wishes for everyone lately...

So... with that I've this special cake to share....

FOr what it's worth... I'll let ya all in on a little secret. In the last couple of weeks with my computer dead and me sidelined off the DIS mostly ... I had MY birthday pass and I guess I had not posted the date on the DIS board yet. Oh well... I liked having had a quiet DIS birthday.... (snif).

At any rate... I did have a belated cake and singing this weekend with my BILs' family from Maui. Except my little 3 year old nephew who was sitting next to me laughably blew out my candles as soon as we were finished singin' happy birthday to Tom... everyone laughed all the harder with his beating me to blowing out the candles!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TOM!!!

And what's this about a puppy? Did you get one??? What breed???
