I talked to Shelley~BIP

Good news!! Her condition is improving. Her face is almost back to normal, and she now has just a touch of the salty taste in her mouth.

She's just been busy with her kids, and also trouble with the Boards and the computer.

Great news! Thanks Stace

Hey all, remember me? Mary Ann (thanks!) sent me a PM saying she'd missed me and was wondering if everything was ok. Never thought about people might think I'd died or something, so I thought I'd check in and say 'hi'.

I haven't been around in a while due to work and vacation. (One week in UK on travel, a week catching up on shtuff and then a week in Atlanta with the inlaw). Too much work to do to spend any amount of time posting. Maybe I can get on line tomorrow or this weekend.

Before I go though, did anyone get a room assignment today??

 (they changed the smilies, I see. #13 is now dancing bananaman)

J. R.

Hi J.R. - glad to see you're still with us!

Thanks to you Tom I have a tag that is really me!!!!! Take a look to the left under my board name.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Love the tag Cheryl!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, I checked the receipt again from the Disney Outlet store, the price for the sweatshirt actually was 2.99 not 4.99, makes me feel even better about buying it. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It's good to hear from you, J.R.! :cool1: Now that you are a full fledge member of the TOAL DIScult cruise....of course we are going to wonder how you are doing if you disappear for more than a week. Glad to hear that things are going well.

Love the tag Cheryl!!! :thumbsup2

Okay, I think you need several at that price!!!!:thumbsup2 It will never go out of style.:lmao:

We didn't follow an actual recipe, but here's what we did.

You will need:
1 package Double Stuffed Oreos (can be generic but must be double stuffed)
1 package candy sticks (Michael's or any party supply store)
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (milk or dark would probably work too)
1/2 stick butter
Decorations - jimies, sprinkles, etc.

Prepare the chocolate: Melt chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler. Stir until smooth.

Prepare the cookies: Carefully separate the cookies. Make a "tunnel" with the candy stick. Dip the stick in the chocolate and insert into the "tunnel". Carefully place the cookie back together. The chocolate will act as glue to hold the stick in and hold the cookie together.

Dip the cookies: We found it easiest to hold the cookie about halfway in the chocolate and use a spoon to pour the it over the rest of the cookie. Using the spoon or the side of the bowl, slightly scrape one side of the cookie and place scraped side down on a parchment or foil lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sprinkles, jimies, crushed nuts - whatever.

To help set the chocolate you can place the tray in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.

Thanks Monica - we are all "choco-holics" so they'll love it!
Chris

GOOD EVENING / GOOD AFTERNOON

Andrew can you book what I should do for excursions.:confused3 Seems like you are one step ahead all the time.:flower3: I guess I must get high speed hook-up by next May. My dial-up is sloooooooow I will never get one excursion before all are sold out.:rolleyes1 end--QUOTE

The Med shore trips are going fast and people are very upset, I thought this would happen due to it being DCL’s first trip to Europe and only being there a short season and other cruiselines being there all year and getting priority.

I think it will be less of a panic on the PC in 2008, the difference is TPC is longer, fewer posts of call, DCL been there before, and many options for cruisers.

The Med is polorised everyone wants to go to Rome, Pisa, Pomeii, Monte Carlo, and they are not on your doorstep you have to take a shore trip to get to them.

Forgive me for saying, I am on home turf, most people cruising are from the USA with less knowledge of Europe, so they will rely on the DCL trips more, for safety.

In 2008 you only will have a few ports to book for, the Med is seven, and on all of them if you just get of the ship and walk around you can enjoy.

But for the Med you want to see Rome etc, that’s why you are going.

I think it looks like DCL havend thought this all out, I am happy that I have booked my own.

You guys are making this take forever!

But the wait was worth it for the wenches!!!

Congrat’s on 51,000 how did you get two posts in a row at that time|?

CONGRATS ANDREW !!!

Thank you and for all who said Congrats on 6,000

Andrew - Congrats on 6,000!!!

I have friends going on the Med cruise 070707. They leave for Barcelona 07/04/07. Can you tell me how you arranged your excursions if you don't mind?
They have no idea what they want to do. I can't figure this out because I would have had everything planned out and asked alot of questions. I told them they should get on the DIS boards and they can get alot of infor from fellow disers.

Thanks!

Karen

My recent post on the Med 07 July 2007 covers.

I looked around here on the Dis and also searched the internet.

Some cover more than one DCL port.

ON 6,000

Wow, what a way to end the day. Good Night Andrew.

Thank you

Hey Karen, not sure if Andrew's still around. But here's a thread where a bunch of the Med cruisers have been discussing various options. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1314699

Are they going DCL? If so, they probably won't be able to book DCL excursions. I was just reading a thread that many of the excursions are already sold out at the 75 day mark. And no one has been able to be Palo ressies at the 75 day either.

Covered above.

Only 20,491 more to catch up to Lisa.....

To change a quote slightly from Sir Steve Redgrave after winning five Gold medals in Successive Olympic’s

If I ever get to that level you have my personal permission to shoot me.

:woohoo: CONGRATS!!!!!:woohoo:

Thank you
:jumping1: Congrats on that milestone! Hope you and your family are doing well!

Thank you and they are ok

party: party: :jumping1: party: party:

And I have five days off now!

YAY! I'm glad to hear that BIP is on the mend.

I have been informed by my ST's that they don't make thongs big enough for me!

(How big does a string need to be????)

Hey OMAR! Two words for ya: thong line.
:rotfl:

OH...Stace isn't going to like that...:sad2:

Tee-hee......I'm sure she'll get me back when I least expect it :goodvibes

Them ST's are soooo smart, aren't they? Well, someday they won't be ST's anymore, and gravity (& cottage cheese) will set in. Then we'll see who's so smart. ::yes:: :rolleyes1

Hey J.R.

It dawned on me that the last we heard from you, you were going overseas. Wasn't that like a month ago?

Glad to hear everything is OK.

Speaking of missing people....

Some pages back it was mentioned that Julie had a family emergency and then has not been heard from - does anyone know what happened???? I was away from the boards for a few weeks myself and did not realize she had to cancel her cruise.

I am heading to NYC in a few weeks and we mentioned maybe getting together for a drink or coffee or something.

To Tattoo or not to Tattoo , that is the question ..

Should I or shouldnt I .....Minus the Jack that is

I know about just kidding, but if you want one of ANDREW's suggestions and this goes for the group in general, Palo's has a private dinning area that hold about 14 people, it can be booked by groups.

They will take a request, but only confirm about 30 days in advance, and it can be booked for Brunch, or Dinner.

I would suggest this group try to organise a few, there are far too many people here for one.

There are many sea days so there are options.

I am organising this for my MED cruise for 14 people and, it means the people posting on our thread should be able to have Palos brunch together.

Now its difficult organising this from the UK but if someone on this thread wanted to organise I can give you the details and you fax the Hassle Free Specialist/Palo.

She called me directly last week, on my Brunch request.

ANYONE up for organising?

MY TRIPS in Med

I am staying in Barcelona for a week pre cruise and organsing all my own there.
