Chris...........I belive that designates someone from the Upper *****ula.......called a Uper around here.

My roots are in Tennessee..........So Ya'll is more in my vocabulary !!!!

Mark

:lmao: I think the word you were trying for was peninsula. ;) :lmao:

:goodvibes I've only been in the Boston area once, about 16-17 years ago. Was great from what we saw (which was not much in about 1-1/2 days). Would like to cross Fenway Park off my list of baseball parks to watch a game. So far, I've seen MLB games at Riverfront Stadium (Old Reds), Great American (New Reds), Wrigley Field, Jacobs Field, PNC Park, Chase Field, SBC Park, McAfee Stadium, Coors Field, the old St. Louis Cardinal stadium (Busch field maybe? forget the name), and the old Seattle Dome (when Griffey and ARod were still there). Might have to check the Dodgers and Angels schedules pre-cruise.

Only seen games at Fenway Park (many games) and Anaheim. Actually, a pre-cruise Angels Games sounds like a great idea :thumbsup2

Yup - he's a uper - from White Pine way up in the Upper Peninsula.

So - do you root for the Tennessee Titans??

Chris

Mornin' from Alaska. Low: 29 High: 36.
They think by Saturday we will go all day without dropping below freezing. Breakup is here. The snow berm in front of my house is down to about 3 1/2 feet.

Great photos Andy. Looks like you are having a blast.

Yup, we met up. There are many things I will miss about life in Alaska - the 5 1/2 hour flight from MN is not one of them! At least I had someone to cuddle up with. Someone asked me so I counted it up - I was in RI for exactly three hours longer than it took me to travel there (36 hours to 33 hours). I forgot about your dictation job, so typing practice makes a bit more sense!

OK I got up at 0500 to work...so I guess I should get back to it.

I am sure that your presense was much appreciated. M, it shows what a special person you are. :)

My thought as well.

I think we need to add to the Wench, Swabbie, Captain and Evil Twins, and put Mods.

That would make it:

Score: Wenches 20 Jack 4 Swabbies 15 Evil Twins 1 Mods 10 ???

I think the problem is some of the kids parents never learned this.....

Just recently my kids were participating in an afterschool basketball tournament (4th and 5th grades) that the gym teachers, on their own time, put together. My DS and a few of his friends, none of whom had played basketball before, were getting creamed by the other team (20 pts or so with 3 minutes to go). The gym teacher tells the team that's ahead that they need to pass twice before shooting and two of the parents quite loudly start discussing how "unfair" that is and that its "bulls*#@, etc. When the game was over, they told their kids how wrong the teacher was and what *#&$ it was! I give the gym teachers all the credit in the world for ignoring it, but these kids parents just don't get it. Thank god the game only had 3 minutes left or who knows what else these clueless parents would have done. BTW, my DS and friends were fine with getting creamed, they understood that they had never played before and were just there to have fun... that kid!!

There are many little leagues where the parents should be banned from watching. I have been to some games where it just a mess--little ones in tears because of the grownups.:sad2:

E-mail from my kid's hockey coach about a week ago. We have a great group of parents, so it was sent as a joke:

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old hockey players aside and asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"

The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

"Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?"

The little boy nodded yes.

"So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when a penalty is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the referee, or call him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?"

Again the little boy nodded.

He continued, "And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach 'a dumb ***' is it?"

Again the little boy nodded.

"Good," said the coach. "Now, go over there and explain all that to your mother!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOL! No such luck! I haven't gotten 10 of them. I think that I only have one more than Jack. :lmao: My computer gets hung up on the blank screen forever waiting to see what I posted just like everyone else's. If it was really easier, I would have a lot more of them. pirate:

Actually I think she only has 6 so it would be:

W: 25
S: 15+1 for the ET
J: 4
Mod: 6

More importantly, you got robbed.

40 seconds killin' me here pirate:

Twice in a row I had the 001 post....

How did you get 2 in between mine? Is that a moderator privilege?

She basically got 2 in (let alone in a row) before you got 2 in at the same time stamp with waiting for the 40 second rule.

So DW & DS1 went to the Y today. DS had fun the in onsite daycare but evidently he likes to hug and give kisses. So DW asked if they rather he bite the other kids? They don't think other parents will have a problem. When he gets older we'll have to explain how it's not cool to force himself onto people.

Not sure nice to learn as you go.

BY THE WAY
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

SIX THOUSAND POSTS!

Night!

Congrats! :woohoo:

DS still wont use the 3D glasses for anything. He is 8. Is is a decent story or one to be skipped?

My DS was like that for the longest time. I think he was traumatized by It's Tough to be a Bug. :confused3 Anyway, he finally is able to wear them during Muppets 3D & Mickey's Philharmagic & he's 9, so hopefully your son will be wearing them soon.

WOW!!! We started our 10 Day Wonder last August with a huge storm just before leaving the port. I swear the lightening hit the boat. Storms are scary on the water.

I love to watch storms over the ocean, but I don't want them too close & I definitely don't want lightening to strike the ship! :scared:

Tomorrow is going to be another day in the 80s but we will drop to the 60s Thursday. Still not sure what Easter temps will be...so IDK what DD & I will end up wearing to Church.

I went out tonight & bought a blouse to wear with my black dress pants for Easter dinner. I was going to wear a dress, but they are saying low 40's here. :sad2:

Same here - we also have chance of snow on Friday and Saturday:scared1: !

They are calling for snow & sleet here tommorow night, but it's not suppose to amount to anything. It's just cold & bleak here all week!

You guys are making this take forever!

But the wait was worth it for the wenches!!!

Congrats on another one Lisa! Another pirate: for the wenches! :woohoo:

One can always dream...but I am afraid that we are going to see him around for a while longer. :(

At least his hair looked better tonight, but he still can't sing. You could almost hear his voice at the beginning of the song, but then the band drowned him out again. Did you hear what he said to Simon? "Welcome to the universe of Sanjaya!" I think he's starting to eat up all the press he gets!

Is there anyone on the board that really knows BIP to see if she is okay??:confused3

Funny I was wondering about BIP too. Seems a lot of people have been thinking of her. :grouphug:

In the category of Mindless babble... DH & I got to leave DD with her Aunt this weekend, and went out to see a movie - for the first time since Christmas. We saw Music and Lyrics (Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore). Very cute . Utterly predictiable, but still cute and feel-good especially for those of us who lived through the '80s. :hippie:

Sounds to me like you DS is a  not a fighter!

I love feel good predictable movies & books. I get enough reality in my day to day life! I haven't seen Music & Lyrics yet, so I'm hoping it shows up on Comcast's On Demand.

I've also been wondering about Deena and Caroline...I haven't seen either one of the post for a while. And Julie posted a while ago that there was a family emergency that caused her to cancel her cruise.

I just figured Deanna was busy watching the NCAA. If you read this Deanna...sorry the Buckeyes didn't win!

I don't know about Caroline, but I do remember Julie posting about the family emergency. I wish we knew how she was doing! :guilty:

What about JperiodspaceRperiod? I know he had to go on a trip, but he's been gone quite a while hasn't he?

Of course it is spring break time, so maybe a lot of people went away? I hope that's the case anyway! Sending out good thoughts that everyone is doing okay! :grouphug:
