8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 10

I'm gettin' here! Still 15 pages back, but I want to respond before I log off for dinner...

I loved Volcano National Park. The lava flow was so neat. Warning don't hike in flip flops (I did).

HHmmm I only bring flip flops on vacation! I have dress and casual flip flops. No volcanos for me.

Awww.....

I have two of those DCL chairs by my pool! I can go out there and daydream.

How did you get DCL deck chairs?????

3 - Here's my contribution to Capts. Below is the shot I took on the EB PC Cruise as we are approaching or at the first lock. I was hanging in this spot for over 15 minutes trying to take a picture of the two - Thord did the WB and Tom did the EB. I wanted a shot of the two in them. Capt Thord was obliging as he even smiled in a few - Capt Tom was being a little as usual - LOL sorry - no disrespect intended - know how busy he is all all but Capt Thord is a little friendlier there...GASP! GASP - my blasphemy! Anyway, after finally realizing that Capt Tom knew I was there - have a few shots where he's looking directly into my lens (not that me almost hanging over the side shooting with a big old lens might have anything to do with it ) but Capt Thord isn't - well here's my contribution to that once in a lifetime moment. I even was able to get them to sign it later!

After talking sailor with DH on formal night & the CC reception, he asked us if we wanted to see the bridge. We were expecting some uderling to show us around for 10 minutes. No! Capt. Thord was there and we hung out with him for about an hour. After about 30 minutes we started the "well, we should let you get back to work" thing, but he was just SO nice & kept chatting. We were there for about an hour.

When someone says system upgrade I kind of think a couple of hours not a few minutes! It sure looks like all you 's were not about to wait for anyone else. I quess it's ........

I went to PS232 (my parents couldnt afford Catholic School at the time).. and 232 was a pretty good school (as was 207.. and I assume 207 is still pretty darn good).

But JHS202... And the high schools.... John Adams (for you guys)... or Franklin K Lane (where I went as I lived on the north side of 151 Ave.)... they left ALOT to be desired. Its amazing I got out of there intact!

207 is still one of the best schools in Queens, the high schools though have changed in the last 15 years. Most of the kids from this area go to Prep, Malloy, Agnes, Holy Cross. Thins have changed a bit with that respect.

It is still doable in flip flops. But I wouldn't do it at night in them. And I am sure it is beautiful at night. And if you go bring WATER! You will need it. When you are out there you are out there and there is nothing once you hit the trail.

I had fun the only time I did the chats.. last week... but then again, I got on pretty late (past 11PM eastern) so there was less than 10 of us on.. so it was pretty easy to follow along.. And I was the only pirate in a chat room full of wenches!!!

Any way, it was great snagging a milestone today... with a real question no less... a question that never did get answered... but we can save the answers for another time as I will be hitting the hay in a short few tonight.

Volcano National Park. When you are hiking through there some of your hike is on lava that is only days old.
