I will now retire gracefully from the Pirate race. One is More Than Enough!!

And Desiree - it was fun as we were actually chatting!!!

Now - I'm off to bed. Ciao Baby!!

Well..my job here is done..now off I go..I need some sleep and so do you! Have a great night!

I probalby should do FE but I have no idea what I'd give everyone. It's not like I can hop over to a store... Closest place to buy stuff for it is a 45 minute drive just to get there.

I bought my FE gifts online - you could check Ebay maybe to see if there is something you like in bulk?

DS11 and DS8 both won their first games of playoff. That means we get to play more baseball (yea us). At least we don't play tonight. It's going to be another day in the soup. Supposed to cool off tomorrow. We had the ambulance at the ball field yesterday. An older gentleman was suffering from heat stroke. Pretty scary stuff.

Happy birthday, welcome aboard & prayers to all I missed.

M... how many more Mondays 'til TOAL ??

We will add your FIL (and MIL) to our prayers. My grandfather suffered from Parkinsons for many years.

THANKS!!

My Mom had parkinsons. We pureed her food for while and that seemed to work. She also had a thickener too to make it the right consistency so she could swallow it.. If it was too liquidy she would choke too.. i am truely sorry that you have to go through this. Parkinsons is just horrid and my poor Mom was trapped in a body that didn't work for her and her mind was fine so she knew what was happening.. just a terrible disease.. she suffered so long and just kept getting worse year by year/ month by month:hug: I will keep your family in my prayers...

His food has had to be pureed for about 2 or 3 months now. Your right it is so very sad to see a man who knows exactly what is going on around him but he cannot do anything about it. He is also having speech issues and has been seeing a speech therapist for some time now.

Good evenin' pirate:s We had a great weekend, but good golly am I tired.

Sunday, up at 0430 for a 7 am race start. I'm not a morning person, but boy am I glad the race started at 7. It was 90 degrees by 9 am. I hate hot.
But Yay Me! I met all three of my goals for the triathlon:
1. Finish!
2. Under 2 hours (1:42:40)
3. Not last in my age group

650 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 5K run before 9 am. Then I had barbecue and a beer. Triathlons are really just an excuse to drink before noon. :)

We went back to Great Wolf for a few more hours & I was even able to get myself up the water slide steps.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Please PM me if I missed something important.

OMG You are awesome!!! I am impressed that you could walk the stairs at Great Wolf - those are some high steps! Congrats to you, I know how good it feels when its over.

DD has a feeding tube and we've had no problems with it since we got used to it. Though there's a big difference between a squirmy baby unable/unwilling to swallow and a grown man that enjoys food! Hope it goes well!

Thanks. Not sure what to expect.......I am hoping it will be easier for DMIL who has had to figure out what to feed him and then puree it all. I don't know anything about it so I can't even wrap my mind around the whole idea of a feeding tube.

Hi,
Myself,Dh.Dd age 12 age ds age 11 will be joining everyone on the cruise! Yeah!

WELCOME!!!

:yay: :yay: M lives :yay: :yay:

This heat is brutal... Thank god for our neighborhood pool.

Yup, I live. Guess I didn't mention that our air conditioning wasn't on all weekend. Downstairs was OK when we got home. Upstairs was evil hot. No pool in our neighborhood, but we are about 2 miles from Ft. Belvoir, so we are joining the O Club this week. They have a beautiful pool overlooking the river.

Helluva game! Both teams started with 8 players (long story, fitting playoffs around other schedules) and in 2d inning, Chris' team was down 8-1. End of 4 down 9-2. End of 5, down 9-7. Won in bottom of 6th and huge pile on of guy who ran home for final run!

I will say, I was again reminded of what great coaches we had all season, the opposing coaches were yelling at their kids non-stop, almost belittling them, one opposing coach called for "time" while play was still going on to try and stop our guys from advancing on overthrow and then later was warned not to walk on field....

But it was HOT!!!!!

That's awesome! Congrats to Chris and his team. We've also been really lucky with coaches in all sports so far. One of DS9's baseball assistants is a bit high strung, but the head coach does a pretty good job of keeping him in line.

You da wo-MAN! :thumbsup2 I want to know how you ran a 5K in 90+ heat?

I have no idea. I hate running to begin with, but after the swim and bike - it's too late to quit! You would have loved the bike though Roger. Mostly in the shade and around the Yorktown battlefield. I really enjoyed it.

Oh, how fun! I have a MM Club t-**** from the Disney store a few years ago.

I'm not liking the sound of this. Sure hope they don't make the change on the Magic

Congratulations to Chris.

We got to the field around 1:45 to find the team before us still playing. They are supposed to end the game if they don't have at least 20 minutes left in their 2 hour slot. Home gets their last at bat. They decided to start the 6th inning at 1:50. The score was 5-1. They tied the game by the end of the 6th inning & had to go into double overtime. They played until 3:00. All the while our kids had to stand around & wait. Very aggressive coaches.
