Thanks  You can tell, we're not *over* it yet :)

Wow I'm suprised you don't buy a case just in case!

I do have a pretty good supply. ;)

Lucky! I could tell you stories of the NICU that would really scare you! Maybe for the next one, we'll go to TX! Seriously, we did take her to Chicago Children's Memorial a couple months ago!

When I finally got brave enough to ask if Megan was expected to live, they gave me nationwide stats and theirs. I was very glad to be there!

Everyone remember that there is a Walmart and Sams Club right at the pier in Puerto Vallarta. Just in case of any forgotten items that anyone can't do without for the rest of the cruise ;)

I was just telling my mom that exact thing.

Had to share a few pictures from DS's graduation yesterday. 2 down...2 to go! LOL He also turned 18 on 6/10 so its been a busy (and expensive)week!

He was done with school as of Monday and then had all his fun senior activities all week, other DS was done with school today and DD is done tomorrow!

Hmm, where in OK?

Tulsa. My nieces left one of their brushes at my house one time and I feel in love with it. When I gave it back my sister bought me one. The big ones are pretty expensive and we also have 2 smaller for the girls.

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been on here as much the last few days - having DS9 at the office and running everything with my parents out of town (family business) has kept me hopping. I also have their insane dog and DS still has fiddle & karate (but no step-dance!) over the summer. Next week he'll be at Art Camp most of the day, so it will be a little easier.

As I am running around, I am soooo jealous of my parents. They were in Helsinki today on their Baltic cruise - tomorrow is St. Petersburg. My father is sending me these really short cryptic emails each day - usually about 2 scentances! I'm saving them all so that when I do the same thing to him in August, I can show them to him when he complains about it :lmao:

I finally started making a to-do list today (while waiting at DS's hour long karate class :thumbsup2 ) - it makes me feel a little better to have it started, but there is an awful lot still to take care of!

I think I saw last week that the plans are falling into place for the busses from DL area to the port. Has anything be posted yet about how to pay? This is one of the things on my to-do list ;)

Pamela

Pamela - I would love to hear more about your son's step dancing classes. My son is interested in it but I have no idea on where to even start looking. I don't know if he is serious because he is really into sports but I wanted to start gathering some information

Which Baltic cruise are your parents on? That is one cruise I would love to take

What great pictures! We could not even remotely get that close for my nephews last week.

I had a very nice evening. We went to my parents for dinner and they had just bought "The Bucket List". What a great movie!!!! It is one of those movies you want to see again to see what you missed the 1st time. I highly recommend it!

We've had more than 10 tornados in S. Wisconsin today :scared1: More than an inch of rain today. They are shutting down areas on the interstate due to flooding. Soon I will be able to float down there

I have family in Chippewa(sp?). Don't know exactly where it is in the state.

Question for the crafters and seamstresses out there, besides ebay where is a good place for buttons? I need a lot of them for DS's costume so Joanns and Micheals gets expensive. I'm not finding any suitable on ebay. So where else can I look?

oops.

Monica I just thought of one more thing - would it be an option to purchase a bag of buttons that are the same size and paint them all the same color? We have both an AC moore and a Michaels craft store around here and I know ACmoore has bags of buttons for about $2

Do you print door signs on magnetic paper, and if so, which model do you recommend? Just curious, since we haven't tried to print any signs yet, so i'm not sure how our printer will handle the magnetic paper.

Mike,

Epson printers are supposedly the best for straight thru printing...

I got 15 sheets for $4.00 (+$4.99) off of ebay

::yes:: My boys are often night-and-day, but I like boys. I wanted boys both times - people were shocked! I don't like groups of women and I am one. (A woman, not a group of them)

I actually wanted a girl, but knew that it was pretty unlikely - DS's family REALLY runs to having boys (And despite Henry VIII's beliefs, the guy has everything to do with that part of it!) However, I totally agree with you about not really liking most groups of women! I think that is part of what made me feel so totally out of place as a PTO president. Throughout school, most of my friends were guys with just a few women sprinkled in. I was actually perfectly comfortable at UofI Engineering where I was totally surrounded by guys.

We are lucky here near Chicago as there are TONS of choices for step dancing. There are several dance "schools" in the area. Usually, a school is actually at many locations, and the teachers, recitals and such encompass all of them. The school my son is with has many of their classes through the local park districts. If he sticks with it, eventually he will move beyond those classes and we'll have to drive him further for lessons. Unfortunately, the park district in my town doesn't have the classes, so we go to the next town over. They decided not to have lessons there this summer since so many people have trouble getting to them and attendance goes way down. In the fall, DS will be moving up to the next class where he will probably stay for the next couple years. He should be starting "hard shoe" in the next year or two - most schools wait until the kids are older for that and start them with the "soft shoe" - for boys that is just a jazz shoe, the girls buy the special lace up things. Our school doesn't do the really elaborate costumes and wigs and all that (many others do and I think the girls look really silly). They have a simple school costume that they all get for the recitals and the boys have a school t-shirt and black slacks. The elaborate stuff can cost hundreds of dollars for a single costume.

My parents are on Princess - my mother chose it because it has 2 full days in St. Petersburg and that is the main reason she wanted to do this cruise. She has always wanted to go there, but doesn't want to deal with traveling in Russia.
