You never know, I just saw this new excursion posted for Acapulco:

Acapulco Cheer and Tide​

Cast off to one of Acapulco's most practical destinations - Lavanderia de Acapulco, this fabled city's largest laundromat. Snap a picture of the seemingless endless rotation as your clothes dries by the sun-kissed sands and glistening ocean water of a nearby beach.​

During your visit, pull up a cozy bench and listen to the soothing rumbling of your own personal washing machine as it soothes the dirt away from your grimey clothing. Marvel at the sights and colors of the native garb, as it is pulled dripping from the maws of the rinse cycle.​

Finally, after three hours of exotic cleanliness, sit back, realax, and surrender to the picturesque sights once more as you begin your scenic 10 minute trip back to the ship.​

..we've been reading the bad reviews..@ the acapulco's city tours..

but we also not going to cancel...because..we've have never been,
& wanting to see the john wayne/earl flynn's ...hangout. the time frame
is very short...so we like..this one..with dcl. [ not that any of us..
ever came..close..missing the ship.. ....or had to pay
extra..for the cabbie...to do double time. see crash.

There are 5 of us but, we are still planning on taking our chances! LOL! I just think we will all want a chance to get off the boat for a few hours.

We're still going too. DD is deesperate to see the divers & I don't think I could deal with the additional stress of finding a cab, agreeing a fee etc. at such an early hour! I will, owever, make sure I have a copy of the excursion to hand to complain on return to the ship if it does not deliver the goods!

After reading the reviews of the Acapulco tour.......

We're still going. DCL has two months to get it straightened out. As other DIS'ers have posted, this will proably be our one time to see the divers, so we're sticking by our guns - and we know where the tour desk is lol.

Question about adult unisex tank top....is it the longer wider type of tank? I was thinking of ordering a XXL for a beach cover up, but don't it to look tight...I need "flowing"...LOL

My name is Claire (DCL~Dreamer. Me and DH (Bob) are going on this very exciting cruise also. I am new to this thread, but not to the Disboards...just can't find time to sit down and read, never mind post. DH and I were on the last Panama Canal eastbound cruise and just had to do this cruise again. We are going with our DD Bernadette (tigger24), her DH and our DGD, Hailey!

DD (Tigger24) was just here and was on my computer and keeps me up to date on the happenings on this thread. DD just left, so I don't have her to ask how to get on the 'fish extender list'. I just read a couple pages of this thread and happened to see a post about people who are signed up for fish extenders. I see my DD is on the list already. I have been buying things to put in the fish extenders, and would really like to be added to the list.

If someone out there could please add me to the list or tell me how I can get my name added to the list, I would greatly appreciate it...thanks!

I'll be 45 this year & DH just turned 43 & we're going on 20 years of marital bliss!

We are mid-late 40's in our adult group, with the exception of my mom of course. And we have our adult kids, early 20's as well as our younger kids.

ETA: add DH and I to the "over 40's"!

Dh and I have been married 28yrs. And are in our 40's!

We're going to stick with the cliff divers too. My kids are 14 & 11 so I think they can handle it & I took the tour with less shopping so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll just be really mad if I don't get a seat where we can get a cold drink & snack as promised in the excursion description.

Your 14 & 11 yr olds can hang with my 17 & 10 yr old,,,,, Dh will be mad if he doesn't get a cold drink! LOL! Preferably w/rum! or Tequila!

I wish you could all be over to smell the CAKE I have baking right now . . . it's my youngest daughter Meredith's 11th birthday! Her friends are coming over at 1 for pizza (ordered in) and cake (chocolate cake with chocolate icing) and then are going downstairs to our nail place for manicure and pedicures . . .

Are you going to see John Wayne's house in Cabo? DH has pictures...... He said that a group of them had house all up the Pacific coast because they loved to deep sea fish -- or that's the story he was told! LOL!

I haven't cancelled yet... I do have a call in to the Concierge to see what their response is to the poor reviews from the Westbounders.

I will not likely go to Acapulco again and I would love to see the cliff divers - they look so cool in the Epcot Mexico ride! Then again, the swim up pool bar (on the ride) looked good too.....

I wish you could all be over to smell the CAKE I have baking right now . . . it's my youngest daughter Meredith's 11th birthday! Her friends are coming over at 1 for pizza (ordered in) and cake (chocolate cake with chocolate icing) and then are going downstairs to our nail place for manicure and pedicures . . .

It's the "birthday season" here -- my oldest daughter turns 16 on Tuesday. (So more cake -- hurray!) When she was younger my middle daughter (whose birthday is in October) would always get sad at this point, seeing both her sisters have parties and get presents. I think it's easier now that she is 13, but when she was younger it just killed her. She is a violinist, and when much younger her teacher was trying to get her to play something with more expression -- and it should be sad -- so she was asked to think about the saddest thing she could imagine and play thinking of that, and what she picked was the week both her sisters had birthdays!

I don't know what room Chuck has but on the last PC cruise he had a midship cat 3. Those are laid out different and in my opinion much bigger for entertaining. Otherwise, that is a lot of people.

You can order from the Palo menu when you are in the category 1 suites only.
