Diane....everytime I see this image I think it looks like Lizzie Mcguire in the Poconos.

Attention Pirates and Wenches!!

It's really not THAT big a deal, but I got your attention.

I'm not going to be around now for a while. Deadline is coming up for the wedding and all.....need to be finishing things up and getting ready to go. I'll only be back for a couple of days and then leave for the 6-8-08 Magic Mexican Riviera...whoo hooo...

Anyway.......still not sure if or how I will be able to post any kind of report. Maybe I will start a trip report on that Board.....anywho.....if anyone has any specific questions, my e-mail addy is in my profile.

Will pop in when I can......

CARRY ON.......

Stace!
Have a GREAT time! I hope the wedding day is beautiful and everything goes well. If I don't get another chance to tell you, have a fantastic cruise. I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you so much! Hey...do we need jackets for night time? (in Ohio)

I would pack a couple. It has been unseasonably cool here, and I have still been wearing hoodies during the day. Now, Megan might be happy to have a cooler wedding day since she will be in her gown and the men in tuxes. If it's sunny, it'll be perfect!

Good morning everyone,
This is my first day back on the boads since that nightmare on Sunday.:headache: ..I was up until 3am with those bookings. I had to be in MOCK TRAIL court at 8 am... zzzzzz.. I was loosing in during the end of the first trial. Good thing there was a STARBUCKS right next to the hotel we stayed in.

Where is the list of who is doing what? We got most of the excursion.. But I was not able to get PALO for my ANNIVERSARY.. DH doesn't care for dinner and we only needed 1 brunch..

Add me to the fish extender list too please.. We are still GTY.. probably until the day we board as the looks of things..

Today is HUBBYs Birthday and I was gone all weekend.. went to get his gift last night and they were sold out.. He has to wait until later today... Better late than never.. He will like the gift either way..

I have to catch up some more..3 days of post should take me about 3 days to catch up on...lol

The list is on the Pirate Zone here, but I think Karen gave me all your info.

Did you ever have those days were everything goes RIGHT? Yesterday was one of those days for me...

Had a teacher meeting - DD got a less than stellar progress report. They send these out in between the closing of the marks. Well, turned out to be no big deal. She had missed a couple of assignments from an absence and just being lazy. That, I can handle/fix. Then, more importantly (I know, priorities), I had not mentioned anything about the cruise yet. She will miss the first three days of school. She is in "Looping" and will have all the same teachers next year. Even though I know they are pretty cool teachers, I was still a little nervous about bringing it up. Well, NO PROBLEM. Her Social Studies teacher will give an assignment related to Panama Canal (which will be fun stuff - he gives weekend homework like hug a tree and stuff like that), and the report we are going to do over the summer and cruise on the PC will be perfect. She will present it to the class when she returns. Whew - one more thing out of the way for the cruise.

Then off to my first follow up with the Onc. Dr since treatments completed. I have been officially been declared.......CANCER FREE!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Got an appt for my 6 month follow up.

We had a similar conversation with our kids principals and were pleasantly surprised at how understanding they were and we're missing 8 1/2 days!:scared1: They're getting certain homework ahead of time so it can be done before we leave and are also going to write reports.

Also, congrats on being Cancer FREE!! :cloud9: :cloud9: That's exciting news -- cancer has been very devasting to us the past couple of years. :sad2:

OK- Listen up folks- American airlines has decided as of June 15th to charge for the FIRST bag checked :scared1:
Does not say if they are grandfathering exisitng tickets yet. They better! :headache:

Unbelievable! I guess they are happy with their #2 ranking for customer satisfaction.:lmao:

Maybe United Airlines is starting to sound better!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Never!!!!

With these "second bag fees" (and first bag fees) I wonder what happens when you are the 12th passenger on the plane and there is no overhead bin space left so you have to "gate check" a bag, do they assess a fee then?

Plus you have to tip them for helping you with your bag!

PS, there are some Logo tees on sale at Disney shopping.com today. They are 7.99 each and come is the Disgreen. We could wear those so we would all know who we all are...

Please, no more t-shirts.

These are the best words I have ever read to live your life by!! I know its long but very interesting and true!!

I normally don't read these, but I did today. Thanks for posting!!

G'mornin' pirate:s

I love how the vests say "May I help you" or whatever on the back. Pretty much every WalMart worker I've ever been in contact with either mumbles in English or mumbles in another language. Regardless I can't understand them.

I don't go to WalMart, but I think I might need a t-shirt with "Yes! You can help me" on the back.

I got so frustrated in Walmart this weekend that I left my cart in the middle of the aisle and walked out. Called a friend and told him he needed to take me out for a drink! I was bumped into twice, had people walk in front of my moving cart 4 times, and had someone roll their eyes at me when I said "Excuse Me" so I could get through the aisle. This was all done by employees!!! Then there's the list of rude customers, but I expect that when I go there.

Did you ever have those days were everything goes RIGHT? Yesterday was one of those days for me...

We fired up the pool pump last weekend and was not working properly. Now, DH's only job with the pool is to get that pump going and I do the rest for the entire summer. To say we were having some heated discussions (he was being a typical guy - ya know, like a man asking for directions), about him refusing to call a professional to ask for opinions, is an understatement. Well, he finally asked and figured it out yesterday. Plenty of time for me to clean it up and heat it for the summer-like weather that is coming in this holiday weekend.

It has been quite a winter and I want to say Thank you :thanks: to all my DIS freinds who have offered up such wonderful support through postings, PM's, cards, a little surpise gifts. It is appreciated more than I can ever express :grouphug: :grouphug:

The "Neighborhood Ladies" are taking me out to a local pub Friday night to celebrate. Since I have a designated driver I think I may just have a drink...or two :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :faint:

What a great day. I needed to smile today and this did it.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Did anyone see this? I was wondering how DCL was going to handle the 2nd bag charges. Guess they just won't take any 2nd bags.

The Resort Airline Check-in service offered at Disney resorts will now only accept one bag per passenger for check-in, due to the extra fees that most airlines now charge for a second bag. If you wish to have more than one checked bag per person, you will need to check-in at the airport.

I know that there had been some discusion on the pirate zone boards about a hummer limo tour on the saturday before the cruise. But my mom and I may not be abvailable to join in on that. Has anyone looked into other tours like grayline or starline?

I've never been to LA so we'd like to hit the major sites....

LOL....you don't know me very well do you....patience is NOT a word used to describe me...........but thanks for the encouragement.

Monica...

... I may not KNOW you well enough... but on the other hand I DO know you WELL enough ....

And if I may say so - there's no harm in being the eternal optimist. I've always embraced an adage I found very true to me....

... it's never as good as you hope - nor as bad as you fear. So calm down and just try to enjoy your day no matter what.

Now if you'll excuse me - I gotta go buy our movie tickets - I'm getting a gift cedrtificate book because it containes free popcorn coupons - and then I gotta pick up my younger one BEFORE nap time - to get her to her Doctors Visison and Hearing exam... then I gotta hustle over for some hot pizza just before I pick up the older girls to get them over to thier Narnia movie today. So - I gotta run - with no 2nd or 3rd "I gotta go" remarks...

The walking out approach is one I've used. I recently had an incident at home depot where I was using the self-checkout and one of the items didn't register. The person staffing the area was busy, and even after letting her know, and having her tell someone, nothing seemed to be happening. After some 5-10 minutes of waiting, I finally just walked away. Left the cart of stuff at the checkstand - it just wasn't worth getting upset over or waiting longer.

That's one reason I tend to avoid Home Depot for OSH even though the prices can be higher. Customer service does matter.
