We'll make sure not to post anything important while you're gone![]()

On one of my many calls today, they explicitly told me they do hold back slots, but it is "DCL Policy" not to release them even if a customer complains.
This was another highly unsuccessful attempt to explain to them that "policy" means they can, just decide not to....

Actually, the e-mail seemed to have gone to the "let's shut this idiot up" department.....![]()

Welcome home, Paula!
MATH ALERT!
The 3 times aren't really 3 whole groups of diners - It just spreads out the arrival times. Brunch usually takes us a couple hours! The 10:30 people are just getting going as the 11:00 folks show up. All 3 groups will be there for quite a while. That means only 140 people will have brunch each sea day. We have 7 sea days, so 980 people can have brunch. I don't know if the 140 number includes the private dining room. If not, then we can add 14 per sea day for that (98 more) for a total of 1078.
Since kids can't have brunch, that is 1078 adults - you would think that anyone who wanted could have a brunch ....

ThanksFor those who are interested, here's a quick tutorial/speculation on why the DCL servers had such problems last night, and why "fixing it" is a harder problem than you might expect.....
Okay LG....here she is....

And at a year and a half, when her hair became the same color as mine

Sorry if these come out large, I couldn't get my "edit" to work.
BTW - in case it got lost during the turmoil last night - the new Indiana Joines movie was Great!! Someone asked if was suitable for small children - depends on how small. I think it would be okay for my 7yr old grandson - a few scenes probably might scare him. My older grandkids - 13 & 14 - will definately enjoy it.
On another - happier note. Today is a momentous day for the sk8ingfam.
As of today, DH is
FIVE AND DIVE!
OK, not really by the standard definition of 5 and dive:
DH graduated from CGA May 19, 1993 - so he can retire with full benefits at exactly 5 years from today! Technically he'll have 24 years in, but only 20 will count towards retirement.
Of course he's going to have to go out and get another real job in order to keep me in the manner in which I am accustomed.
Okay, here is something interesting.....
I had asked earlier about Cabo del Sol, as I was trying to book it for my dad. It was not showing on the DCL website as an excursion you could book all morning.
So, I called DCL, and actually spoke with someone very helpful. She told me she would check into it and have someone call me back. So a little while ago, I did get a call back and was informed by yet another helpful CM, that he went ahead and booked my dad for this excursion. I wasn't able to get back into my parent's reservation until just a moment ago, and I noticed the time for the golf outing is 10:15am-5:15pm. Yet, we are only scheduled to be in port until 4:30pm. Is this typical? Does anyone else have excursion times that go beyond our scheduled port time?
