I didn't know what a Konk Kooler was...so I looked it up. Can I have this hooked up intravenously???

Ingredients


3 oz. Light Rum (Suggestion - Malibu or Parrot Bay)
3 oz. Dark Rum (Suggestion - Cruzan Black Strap)
4 oz. Orange Juice
8 oz. Cream of Coconut (Suggestion - Coco Casa)
6 oz. Passion Fruit Juice Concentrate (Suggestion - Welches)
3 oz. Ice

Mix in blender until slushy.

I make them here at home every once in a while - makes me feel like I'm back on Castaway Cay.

CRUISE QUESTION

For those of you that have gotten facials onboard which one did you have and how did you like it?
I usually like to get one on a cruise after being in the sun so much


On another note - I asked a client about the ballroom under the stars on the WB and he said they didn't have it and when they asked the crew no one new anything about it. He thought it may have been cancelled due to it being windy on that last formal night but nothing special happened

Jo, I had a facial on my first cruise back in 2002. It was part of the Ladies Night Out package that they had at the time which included a massage and the rain forest room. I don't remember the exact description of the facial.
It was a good facial, but not any different than what I can get at the Red Door salon at home. My family will give me the Red Door gift certificates as gifts (birthday, Christmas, etc) so I go a few times a year.
I don't have any plans to visit the spa this trip, but I may change my mind once we are on board

Julie that is a great point..Never thought of it that way..I am dying of course now..lol I will never be in a bikini but it would be nice to be in a beautiful outfit right off the rack and having it look like a knockout.

That's weird...aren't they mandated by the state to go to school a certain number of days, or are they private?

Our district always makes the last day a 1/2 day so they are still in compliance. It just makes it a pain for parents that work outside the home.

I guess they put in buffer days so they don't have to add if we have snow days. My thought was - if that's the case, then they could have decided to shorten the year in mid-March when we aren't likely to have any more snow days, right? I guess not. They are closing early to save money. What they are really doing is passing those costs on to parents and the county. Our county-run after school program, held at the school, is going to be open those days. It took them 3 days to decide that.

More than a couple if you can find a two for one deal On the 11 night Southern cruise we looked for every 2 for 1 deal. Skipped dinner one night just to get the 2 for 1 martinis in the Cadillac Lounge

My DH is wearing a sport coat and tie but tomorrow we are buying him a suit (needs it for a fancy wedding in September).. DS has a suit and on Ballroom under the stars he has a white sportcoat with a shirt and tie. We need a garment bag just for the 2 guys cloths...

Both my DH and DS own tuxes and will wear them on the formal nights.... DS usually only stays in it for dinner and an obligatory picture (that I usually have to threaten him for).

Both DH and the ST will be wearing suits! We've seen some really cool "tropical" looking suits for DH but haven't gotten anything for him yet - he's been working out like crazy and has managed to knock 25 lbs off over the last few months and I don't want to buy him anything now and have it be too big for him by the time TOAL rolls around. ST on the other hand asked if he could be dressed in head to toe black - black suit, black shirt, black tie, black socks, black shoes, I told him the black suit was fine but not the shirt or tie so he asked if he could wear navy blue instead. Kids, ya gotta love 'em.

See..there is my problem..I have only been to CC once out of 2 cruises and even that one had issues. The first attempt..Hurricane and no CC! (our cruise changed ports and everything - some honeymoon!) and the 2nd attempt..pouring pouring pouring rain! We did snorkel a little but in the end..everyone went back on board...no BBQ or anything open that day!

So you mean he will have to bring a suit too???????????? I just thought a tux is good enough for semi formal night. I don't have room for all his clothes too!!!

Just finished watching "The Real Pirates of the Caribbean" from Netflix. It was pretty interesting. Talked about the real history of pirates vs. what you see in the movies, then went on to talk about modern day pirates vs. terrorists.
