Make sure you teach the kids how to do possum shots next time you go.

Good idea...we do need to try something new...

Did I tell you about the time me, DD14 and Friend of DD14, DD10 and DD3 got yelled at for trying to take kids into the bar area of a restarant in Indiana? They looked at us like we were nuts. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table, so we headed over to the bar area to watch the Packer game and 3 people chased us down and said that kids couldn't be in the bar. WHAT?!?! :scared1: I had never heard of such a thing. We were baffled!

Here in Wisconsin, they have high chairs in the bars...

I'm mildly suprised to NOT detect anyones' remarks on this. In particular - the absence of comment on either of the HIGHLIGHTED or BOLDFACED lines below....

I posted the picture so I read the article that the picture went with..otherwise..I wouldn't have known her but I would have known him.

Desiree...., Desiree...., Desiree....

What ARE we going to do with you? You WERE supposd to say something like... "yeah, back in the 60s my cousin was the photographer who shot this - and I (you) was an assisstant on the photo shoot. And it was at a benefit for the endangered Green nosed pelican in Savannah Georgia".... or at least something similarly outrageous!

At any rate... thats' interesting, just the same. Check out some of the info I dredged up on Miss Britt: She was MARRIED to Peter Sellers and SLIM JIM PHANTOM for a bit.... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001180/bio

ekland.jpg

Date of Birth
6 October 1942, Stockholm, Sweden

Birth Name
Britt-Marie Eklund

Height
5' 5" (1.65 m)

Mini Biography
Britt Ekland was born in Sweden and grew up to be the poster girl for beautiful, big-eyed Scandinavian blondes. She attended a drama school and then joined a traveling theater group. With her looks as her passport, Britt entered films and became a star in Italy. When Peter Sellers met her in a hotel, he fell hard for her and they soon married. The combination of Sellers' stardom and her stunning beauty contributed to her fame (the fact that Sellers suffered a heart attack in bed on their wedding night didn't hurt, either). She appeared in two films with her husband: Caccia alla volpe (1966) (aka "After the Fox"), written by Neil Simon, and the forgettable The Bobo (1967). Her claim to fame would come as the young girl who invented the striptease in The Night They Raided Minsky's (1968). After that, she appeared in a string of movies that were built around her looks and not much else. She did appear in some first-rate productions over the years, though, two of them being Get Carter (1971) and the cult classic The Wicker Man (1973). The high point in her career would be her role as Bond babe Mary Goodnight in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). After her much publicized breakup with rocker Rod Stewart in 1977, Britt continued to make movies--both features and made-for-TV films--and tried the stage. By that time, the quality of her film projects had decreased markedly, and she was reduced to appearing in things like Fraternity Vacation (1985) and Beverly Hills Vamp (1989).

Oh man....we have taken our kids into the bar area when we wait for a table, too. I guess that's why we have earned our way to the shunned part of the ship!
