pirate: -ing Hope your day was great

Thanks so much:grouphug: Kelly had a great birthday yesterday:goodvibes
She was thrilled to see all the happy birthday messages:dance3:

OMG, too funny. We did the exact same thing (just substitute 15 month old).

Sad thing was, we were with my Mother for several hours before she noticed.....

Sounds like my MIL. :rotfl:

WOW this thread has been flying this week. I went to check the items in my wishlist and they had disappeared and my choices from 2006 were there?? What the heck!!!!!!! now I need to go back and print out the ones I want to try for on Sunday/Monday.

Good Evening all!

Ya see, it's part of the "hassle free" strategy. Since you've already been on those excursions, you don't have to hassle with booking them.

The way I checked we were linked was to put my parents excursions into the wish list under their ressie#. When I then pulled up my ressie, I could see those excursions appearing in my wish list. Just hope the practice works as well early hours Mionday!

Celestine

Oh, thanks. This worked for me. :thumbsup2 We also have 2 cabins, and I, too, was worried about whether we were linked and if we'd have trouble when making our reservations. Well, we'll probably still have trouble making our reservations, but at least I know we're linked! :rotfl2:

Kim

Another idea:idea: is we all meet at say 3:00 pm.above Scoops for a sail away gathering and find you and Chrissie there????? We need to have a spot to gather for the sea of black shirts anyway!!! Anyone else have suggestions on where to meet and greet fellow Disers????

Here's Cheryl at that location in Sept 2006

I don't mind meeting before sailaway but, during sailaway my family will be dancing on deck 9! :rotfl:

..right after the drill I have a spa appt for a pedicure.

Won't you be getting ready for dinner?

Unfortunately, most of them are simply not suitable for discussion on such a public forum.

i'm thinking of something involving nail polish remover or acid myself:rolleyes1

We are using DCL transportation. That way DH never has to touch our luggage. ;)

Nahhh I'll haul my luggage myself and at least know it MADE it to the airport

Where are y'all staying after the cruise?

We'll be staying at OKW for one night (cheaper to come home on Tuesday) We will probably go to Typhoon Lagoon and maybe go over to Downtown Disney that night. We picked OKW since the points were cheapest and it was close for our plans.

I was sort of planning Blizzard Beach since we haven't done it yet. We've done TL several times.

We've never done BB either but for some reason it doesn't really appeal to me. I like the huge wave pool, lazy river, shark reef, at TL. Crush n gusher is kinda fun too (but pick your butt up)

SO... what gives rise to something like this? A lack of parenting - is the daughter seeking ATTENTION?

Unfortunately though...bad kids happen to good parents... and from my own unofficial non-scientific observations often a family with several kids will only have one child who just acts out.

More importantly though...... Who keeps over $600 just lying around their house in piggie banks? Haven't these people ever heard of a BANK!!!! THey were just asking for it to walk away. (not justifying what the girl did; just saying that that amount of cash must have been visible (think clear container) for her to know it was there.

Hi my name is Becky.

Hi Becky...Welcome Aboard...

I discovered a little thing called Biotin.

Yeah Biotin is great for nails...Doesn't help for nail-strength much though... My nails grow out and then break to shreads and i have to start over.

You know ...

.... with so many on the ship for 15 nites it's inevitable we'll see one another all over the ship. Only thing is some of us might pass one another wihout noticing sometimes - unless we all wear our T-****s or whatever we come up with - like the wrist bands or lanyards.

We will be at the Beach Club Villas until the 3rd. More then likley spending our two days at MGM (DD loves Rockin Roller Coaster) and Epcot...not much time to do much.

MGM is our favorite park! We are meeting our 24dd & our SIL in WDW -- they will be there the 1st - 5th. SIL thinks Disney is just for little kids....but, thats where dd wanted to go for her 25th B-day. :thumbsup2 her b-day is while we are on the ship but, she wanted to go with us to WDW and that is why theya re going then.

She really wanted to do the cruise, also.... But, her DH won't do a Disney Cruise. :sad2: I actually told her to reconsider marrying him last summer. She LOVES Disney -- how could she marry a man that thinks it is just for little kids????

Indeed - I'm quite certain that I won't know everybody's names and faces until after 16th or 17th night.....

Anybody up for a board game?

cartagena-2.jpg

Each player leads a group of pirates to Pirate's Nest on Tortuga. The path leads the pirates through wild jungle and across the waters of open ocean to the island of Tortuga. In addition to the innate perils of the trip are the other pirates, as each group wants to be the first to arrive at Pirate's Nest and will do what they can to slow the others' progress. As soon as one player has all his pirates in Pirate's Nest, he can raise the Jolly Roger and win the game.
oooh:cool1:

G'nite kids!

It depends upon how bizarre that secret may be!

Gotta show these to Kelly in the morning:cutie:

REAL-LIFE PLANNING QUESTION:
(deserves its own post)

If we are signed up for the group Wenches Palo Tea (and Speedo Parade Viewing) then we don't sign up as individuals for the Palo tea on booking night, right??

I know Chris is organizing the Wenches Tea, so I'll PM her as well, but I know she's not here all the time, so I figured I'd ask how this has worked for other cruises.
I think Chris said that if you make your own palo brunch/tea ressie that it would be canceled in favor of the group ressie (if you are on her list). I don't think it hurts if you book a ressie just in case:confused3

No lanyard for me either.... I either throw my card in my beach bag or I just have DH hold on to it.

Isn't that why i have a DH along? (to carry the stuff)
duck.gif
I use mine for pesky errands. "Honey get on line for tickets...please" etc;)

So we avoid this by signing up as soon as we get on board? :confused3
I am not sure how this works. Or, are we going to try to arrange a sampling of all the tastings as a group? I know I signed up for the lush package. All I need to do?

Coral

I have to check with Monica and Tracy on how it works exactly. The scheduling doesn't happen until closer to cruise time. We are taking names now to get an idea of how many tastings (and because we like to plan things way in advance:lmao: )

Holy Guacamole you guys!! I was only gone all day yesterday and I'm buried here! :sad2: ;)
I'll never catch back up after the wedding and the June cruise.

SORT OF CRUISE RELATED!!
Okay though...I've been thinking.....I'm sure that some of you might have things you want me to check on, or maybe questions or whatever while I'm on that cruise.
What's the best way to handle that w/o me racking up a thousand minutes on the internet reading all these pages and then answering??
Maybe take questions in advance (through pm) and post answers when you come back:confused3

I just received a confirmation for the zipline tour for noon. At least we're confirmed! It took a week and a half to get the confirmation back from them along with the instructions for payment.

I'm nervous that my 13 year-old may chicken-out when he gets there so you may have a babysitter. Otherwise, you could always leave her in the club (no flames please--this isn't the main board).

My instructions indicated that we don't have to pay until 3 days prior (or for us before we leave Denver as we won't have computer access). Is everyone else waiting until August to pay for the zipline or are you paying now?

I think we are all payed up in advance (we reserved a while back). I'm the chicken/observer in my party (although I prefer the term "scaredy cat").

Yeah Biotin is great for nails...Doesn't help for nail-strength much though... My nails grow out and then break to shreads and i have to start over.

I forgot to mention the 2 step plan. The 1st one is taking the Biotin and the 2nd is to put on a coat of a product called Nailtiques Formula 2 every day. The polish has so far kept the nails from breaking once they grow. I am telling you, it is the weirdest thing to see actual decent looking nails on MY hands.

Yeah...

.... I kno, we paused to reflect on leaving $600 in piggy banks too - but they do have 4 kids so it was more like leaving $150 per piggy bank... and we DO live in supposedly one of the most crime free areas in the nation as ranked by the FBI for cities with more than 50,000 people.

Here's a link to an October 2006 list that probably ranks the 2005 records. Back then we were #11.... while on some years we came in at number #1. I consider ourselves to be rated along side Thousand Oaks (where Roger is too) since we're sort of next door.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8L2OIB80&show_article=1

And here's a little something for Andrew and our UK neighbors to mull over (below)

cityranking230506_480x600.jpg

Ahhh... here's a 2007 ranking with 1000 Oaks at #7 safest city. However, this article goes on to focus on how the numbers and rankings are a bit misleading.... :confused3

Thanks for the offer but I am 'entertaining' a customer. Had to take them to the Stockyards (H3) last night but got away with staying near the hotel tonight. Hopefully going home tomorrow afternoon..

I took some Dis friends of ours (that came in from Los Angeles to visit us) to the Stockyards last week! LOL!
It was an usually cool day today so, I hope it was pleasant for you!

I'm out in Fossil Creek area (near 820 and 35W) where my company used to have a huge set of offices but now don't have enough to fill half of one of the buildings we used to own. :sad2: I used to come down here all the time in the 'good old days'.

Hopefully the nasty storms stay away.

From that area you take interstates all the way to my house (I live less then 5 mins off an Interstate). So, keep us in mind if you are in the area agian and have some free evenings!

As I mentioned last night, we had quite the ordeal at the 6th grade Math at the Mall Fieldtrip that both my DW and I attended as chaperones. I'll try to give everyone a condensed version, but it's still a long story.

And this is just middle school!:confused3

OMG:eek:
I've had to console my DS when one game walked away, but this is bizarre:scared1:
Hopefully it ends with this:confused:

Thanks for such a warm welcome. I was on the west bound med repo last year. I am hoping that DCL does some of the same activities. I really enjoyed the cooking demonstrations. I doubt they will because there are so many port of calls.

The in laws are 85/86 years old. They are somewhat active, but then even a ball and chain move.:rotfl2: It is hard to find a shore excursion that will accomodate them as well as us. We may leave them on the ship or for go a shore excursions and just wander close to the ship. My mother in law is only going for the food. She wants to see how high she can get her blood sugar before I have a melt down:thumbsup2 I might have to self medicate.:lmao:

Has anyone seen any of the navigators for the westbound PC cruise?

I am going in search of the current vide someone mentioned. Maybe it will give me good dreams

The time Disney *lost* my luggage (Oct 2005 we did 4nts WDW/ 3nt DCL) my piece of luggage went on the cruise first. :scared1: Disney bought me new clothes. ;) And they bought youngest dd a new Princess dress since her's was in the suitcase and she needed it the 2nd day for the Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian. :)

Which is why dh & I love the Lanyards. Dh is a very quiet, shy kind of guy BUT, if he saw one of the Lanyards he actually went up and talked to the person! He told me he did that on excursions, also -- we usually do separate excursions since I HATE the beach and he LOVES the beach. :rotfl:
