REAL-LIFE PLANNING QUESTION:
(deserves its own post)

If we are signed up for the group Wenches Palo Tea (and Speedo Parade Viewing) then we don't sign up as individuals for the Palo tea on booking night, right??

I know Chris is organizing the Wenches Tea, so I'll PM her as well, but I know she's not here all the time, so I figured I'd ask how this has worked for other cruises.

I have the same question regarding a Group Brunch or Group Dinner.

I called the lanyard company and was told that we have plenty of room on the lanyard for what we would like..only down side ..I can not do an apostrophe so to do something like this:

We would have the ' between Jack and the "s" missing. I am not sure that is a huge problem. I know gramatically that it is wrong but let me know your opinion.

I am going with the bright green on black. They are $1.00 each and you just need to PM me your quantity choice. Please include your stateroom # if you have one or else send it to me when you get it so I can deliver the lanyards to you if I miss you in the terminal. You can pay me when you get the lanyard..no need to send me payment. (With the cost of stamps - it wouldn't be worth it) At the terminal..just look for the crazy lady holding 100 black/green lanyards! :rotfl:

I'm guessing that the $1 is for a lanyard only? Or does it also include the plastic pocket thingy? If not, could we order those too?
 
I just received a confirmation for the zipline tour for noon. At least we're confirmed! It took a week and a half to get the confirmation back from them along with the instructions for payment.

I'm nervous that my 13 year-old may chicken-out when he gets there so you may have a babysitter. Otherwise, you could always leave her in the club (no flames please--this isn't the main board).

My instructions indicated that we don't have to pay until 3 days prior (or for us before we leave Denver as we won't have computer access). Is everyone else waiting until August to pay for the zipline or are you paying now?

We're paid up. One less thing to worry about!
 

I have not even explored shore excursions. I have 2 days before I can book, so I guess I have time;)

There's no booking until Sunday/Monday

So, in the mean time if some of you could send some pixie dust this way to help increase my excitement I would be grateful.:worship:

I thought I would drop by and introduce myself. We are on this cruise and for some strange reason not as excited as we were last year with the Med Repo. I thought a little dose of the DIS might be just what the doctor ordered.

We are traveling with no children this time (ours are all adults, but we are not even bringing a grandchild). There are 6 of us. Me and DH, his brother who is married to my sister and the in-laws. Not a very exciting group, maybe that is my problem:rotfl2:

Find the link to the youtube video from the last repo in 2005 - that should help with the getting excited factor. Plus - watch the video Arlene did of the Magic leaving PC last Saturday - the horn is wonderful to listen to - Tom must have link on the first page to that.
 
I DID manage to stay off the "urinating" thread.

I just wonder why the OP says she's never cruising DCL again because of this??? Does she honestly think that type of thing is less likely to happen or to be handled (no pun intended) any differently on another cruise line? I say good riddance! More chance for the rest of us to get the Roy.

I can think of a number of methods that a "responsible" cruise line could take to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
Unfortunately, most of them are simply not suitable for discussion on such a public forum. Just think catheter....:scared1:
 
We are taking it from the ship to WDW ... I am not sure of the PIF date so until then you can opt out I would guess. I know the PIF date is this week.

Depends on who you've booked the trip through. Disney: it's the 19th Dreams: it's the 17th.
 
Hey guys - jumped on to see if this connection was a bit faster. Just left Aruba. For those of you wondering - we did the Best of Aruba Island Tour. We went to Casibari Rock, Natural Bridge and the Aloe factory. I would SERIOUSLY re-consider this tour again - Cheryl - lots of busses and we wnded up going to the same place each time and had to wait. Sides - the Aloe factory - total waste of time. We spent almost an hour there and the tour would have literally been done in 2 minutes.

I managed to take some taxi rates down which are established rates. I will have to post later after cruise. Seems I can't download pictures anymore.

I think that either another excursion is best - have heard great things about the submarine - see & sea one if you don't have any problems with enclosed places.

As of now - we have departed Aruba. Got to go take shower - I stink! LOL - not really but I feel like I do. BTW, many will be happy to know that Senor Frogs is literally 1 minute from boat. Can't get lost getting there to here and vice a versa.

BELEATED HAPPY BIRTDAY TO ALL I MISSED!!!


Second - thanks for al the kind words re my FIL's passing. He was 90 and suffered from Alzheimer's. He was a wonderful man - I'm sure he's in a much better place right now!!

This is a quick hello as we're leaving for the airport soon to fly up to S.F. for the services ( DD Lori/DGS Matt & me - DSIL can't get away & he'll care for the dogs.)

Wench's Tea: On the Med repo last summer I took a list of names (full names & ressie numbers) to Palo upon boarding and gave it to PJ the manager there and the date we requested. He said no problem he'd make it work. There were about 25 ladies - no private room for tea - so he put two large tables adjacent to one another.

Wench's Brunch: The room holds max 14 - I've sent in a request for 8/23. If there is more interest I'll send in a request for a 2nd day. DCL responded that they would let me know after the 30day mark whether they can accomodate us. Requests have been made for the private room for brunch for nearly every sea day. Those interested need to send me a pm w/full names & ressie numbers.

Bus from DL area to Port - Have contacted 3 bus companies for info & quotes - but that's on hold until I get back after the funeral.

I'll try to check back while I'm NoCal.

Le Sigh... I could use this. I spent until 9:30 last night at work getting our Preliminary Financial statements out, and then twisted my ankle walking to my scooter. I am so ready for a vacation.

If you think the font is to difficult to read..I can change it to a basic print as well..this font just looked kinda of pirate-y to me!

Is this for lanyards or wristbands or what? I missed the first part of the conversation, but it looks wicked cool.
 
We are late seating and usually do dinner very leisurely with the whole family, then head off to bed. It is kind of a night cap for us. I am sure with the kids being older and in the teen club, we may have a different pace this trip...

That's what we do! DH is the one that is awake waiting for Samantha (17dd) to come in from the teen club! But, the other kids and i are ASLEEP! LOL!

As far as the cost for the microphone, I do apologize that you were given that information. However, we do not charge for the use of either the mic or the tech. That is all covered under our Entertainment costs for you. AND we will still reimburse you for the cost of the Mass supplies.

The ship has not yet determined the schedules for the return sailing from Los Angeles at this date. Once that has been determined, I will be sending you an itinerary, and it will detail the times & locations of masses for you.

In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions.
