So I sent my final payment off to Dreams Unlimited today. Not that there's anything to get too excited about. After all we simply robbed Peter to pay Paul, but we're going!

I'm very late to the party and wondering if this is the place to jump in. After having been on waiting lists for pretty much forever we got extremely lucky and got offered a space on this cruise and I got the booking two days ago!! I'm still walking around in a dazed state that we're going to be on the Panama Repo!! It's going to be my son who'll be 6 and myself. We are both very happy!!!!

Firstly, welcome lauritagoddess! I know how you feel about the dazed state. I booked into a repo kinda last minute, and it didn't seem real. Congrats and welcome aboard!

Does anyone know if the Howard Johnson pool (the main one that they are transferring into a pirate themed pool) will be done by the time we get there in August? Roger, Monica, anyone know? I tried emailing them and they haven't responded. TIA

:Yesterday was DH's B-Day - he's on Atkins, so he just got a cupcake

Yeserday was also my DH's brithday!
Poor guy didn't even have cake yet. Kids had baseball, then we went out to dinner, by then it was 9:30. We'll have cake this weekend.

Seems that DH is the oldest son of the oldest son of the oldest son...all the way back to feudal Germany. His ancestors were minor royalty. If it were still a feudal system, he would be the Baron von Sk8ingfam. There is a town in Germany with our last name and everything. DH has been there. It smells like cows.

I've moved up in the world - my maiden name roughly translates to "poor people on a hill" in German.

Ok..question..are we supposed to have special shots for this trip?

For those of us from good old Blighty I understand that these will do, but having read posts way way back, people from other countries have been given different advice. Its also about weighing up risk & liklihood, taking account any activities you may be doing. That said I bet those passengers on the P&O Aurora didn't calculate the possibility of Hepatitis E on their trip!
