...of course I also justified TOAL this way on booking day:

There are 563 days 'til we sail. That means I am paying the low-low price of just $12.10 a day to hang out with a bunch of pirates for the next 18 months!

I ONLY get myself in trouble when I go to the other Boards! I have DIS friends who warn me repeatedly to stay on the Cruise Meets threads. ;)

We're behind you 100%!!!
Ditto
Except that I took the advice and no longer even go to the community boards and pretty much only this thread- only occasionally on some threads in the cruise forum. I'd rather stay away from those forums than end up going poof here. LOL

Yep it’s true, my passport was missing and hadn’t been seen since the move. I had ripped the house apart looking for it, but no luck. Although we could have used my birth certificate to get on the plane, it’s better in the long run to go ahead and get a new passport. The only problem was that it was the first week in April, and I would have to send off my birth certificate to get a new passport. If it didn’t get back in time, I wouldn’t have a method to get on the boat!

Interesting reading on this report that some people still believe that all they need to get on the REPO cruise is a birth certificate. Although the OP received a replacement passport in time, wonder how they would have felt if they had just gone with the birth certificate and once they got to the terminal and realized that REPO cruisers require a passport.

I know for us it's a tad different as we can't even go on a plane / ferry without a passport and pretty soon everyone will need one to cross the border in a car as well. Wonder how many people would blame Disney for not making this issue more clear. :scared:

The Wootoff is still going!
I went to look at the website yesterday and kept it open like almost all day- I'm confused what a woot off is because all I saw was the one speakers thing on there all day. Is it one item per day?

You have to manually refresh the screen. It does not refresh on it's own.

ooh
well now don't I feel stupid.
:rotfl:
ohwell... I don't know what Zune is either. And I guess I don't need to be buying anything right now anyway.... so maybe it's for the best. LOL

I'm very late to the party and wondering if this is the place to jump in. After having been on waiting lists for pretty much forever we got extremely lucky and got offered a space on this cruise and I got the booking two days ago!! I'm still walking around in a dazed state that we're going to be on the Panama Repo!! It's going to be my son who'll be 6 and myself. We are both very happy!!!! :goodvibes

Congrats and Welcome Aboard!

Happy thought for the day...TOAL is saving us money!!

I just addded together the money we go through for day camp, gas, groceries, and parking 2 cars downtown. I'm not going to pay for any of those things for more than 2 weeks!

What I'm saving more than pays for our plane tickets!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

...of course I also justified TOAL this way on booking day:

Reminds of what I say to DH when I come home from a great sale...."See honey, I saved you money" :rotfl2:

We had a nice meet. Liz showed up alone as DH couldn't get home in time, Esteri and her DH George and Laura and Steve. I left at 12 and now will drive to Brandon for Mothers Day lunch with Mom and DS is tagging along as well. She doesn't know yet so it will be a surprise. He lost around close to 30 lbs and since she was always on his case about his weight she will be thrilled. Just hope he got her a card. Now don't talk too much. 10 pages this am :lmao:

Glad you all had a nice mini-meet

...but then, sometimes LISA just can't help herself, can she :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK, I'm not going to re-post that pitcure, but just wanted to say, Ewwwwwwwww!

We made it thru the ceremony! Everything went well and I am glad that is done. Below are some pictures of my DD and I at the ceremony.

This is me pinning my DD bronze Award on her vest. She did it

Congrats to your DD on the Bronze Award. That is a lot of work and quite an accomplishment. Great cookie sales.:thumbsup2

Hi everyone.

I don't know how many here read the community board. I posted on a thread there last night and this morning. My views/opinions were in the minority. There were a few posters that shared my views. One of those posters made a pretty nasty (racist) comment to another poster.

Well it seems, that some DISers now think I'm posting under two names and that I'm the person who made the nasty remarks.

I just wanted to let you all know that I did not make nor do I agree with those comments. In the 7 years that I've been on the DIS I've only had one name.

I started a thread on the community board to try to clear things up. I also PMed the person that was insulted.

At this point I don’t know what else I can do.

:grouphug: :grouphug: I didn't read the thread, but I wouldn't pay any mind to that nonsense. :grouphug: :grouphug: Sometimes I see people just be troublemakers on message boards :stir: (I call it internet courage) and there's nothing you can do about it. Just ignore it.

WB doesn't stop in Columbia... Not sure if just going through TPC makes it a passport situation

Just checked there is a Cat 6 available - 2 adults and a 13 y.o. - $10,586.37 w/ins and transfers. And both early and late seating are available!

Hey Lori - my dd went on the 2005 EB repo - that school - St John of God also had the same policy. She missed the first 2 weeks of school. I seriously had to think about it but the advantages outweighed the bad stuff. History - once in a lifetime, etc. Well, after getting ok for missing that much time - which actually only amounted to 8 full days - cause you know they started in August - hot days = 1/2 days where no work gets done anyway, then fiesta time so they had the Pastor's day off, etc - they only missed the those 8 days. Of which dd's friends say they ended up reviewing - what I'm trying to say is, the kid to this day remembers vividly the canal crossing and the historic facts so things worked out ok - she did come back to some work but she made up for it within the week. Plus - we had a "few" momentos - mostly photos to give the teachers. After that - they felt too guilty to be superhard on her and she ended up getting all A's and B's on progress reports - didn't affect her at all the missing days. Let's hope your kids adjust just as well.

Thank-you for you sharing this with me. I appreicate you insight and hearing another point of view. A "few" mementos for the teachers is also a good idea!!

Lori

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

I just had to post a great, big Thank You to my Secret Mickey. When I came home from work today,I saw a note on the top of my mailbox. Thought ok,Kev must have a package that needs to be picked up at the post office.
Well,I pulled it off and it read "David's Florist" to "Debi Huffman" left at xxxx NE 47th St. (my neighbor). As I go and change clothes,I'm trying to think "Who sent me flowers and why?" :confused3
I went over and rang the doorbell and asked if there had been a delivery for me. "Yes,some very beautiful flowers!" I told her I had no idea who they were from or what the occassion could possibly be and that it better not be Kevin spending our vacation money! ;)
What a beautiful surprise I got when I opened the card...."Happy 100 days until the TOAL! I can't wait to meet you! Love, Secret Mickey" I wanted to cry. :sad1:
I only wish that I could take a picture and post it for you all(my puter is crashed,I'm on Kev's). I will have to describe it...White Roses,Light and Dark Pink Carnations,White Daisies, and Green Cone Flowers :flower3: . I promise to take a pic and post it when I get my carp together.

Thank you again. And I love you too!!

What a nice surprise!!!

That's all of them. It doesn't list the times, because I'd have to open each and every one of them to check the times.

Some of the ones that are showing online as not available ARE listed on here....so again, the ones not available are:
CABO:
Chileno Power Snorkel
Dolphin Swim & Encounter

PV:
Dolphin Swim & Encounter
Banderas Bay Luxury Sail

It does say in small print that some aren't available. Just wanted everyone to see it.

Pizza just walked in the door and then I'm watching my shows. Later!!

Thank you, Stacey

I thought I read recently that any cruise that embarks in one port but debarks in a different port requires a passport???
