No Desiree, no shots are required for our trip. There was a discussion last year about getting a Hepatitis A vaccine just as added protection. At this point don't worry about it, they had to be started 6 months prior to leaving. Your DD should already be immunized with this.

My travel clinic recommends a flu vaccination also for cruising - just to reduce the risk of ruining your holiday if nothing else. I had mine yesterday and best of all my work covers the cost too

Also for Hep A, it actually takes affect after about 4 weeks, if you have the second vaccine 6-12 months later, it gives it a significant boost - potentially up to 25 years. There is more info here - http://www.vaccineinformation.org/hepa/qandavax.asp - I consider it an essential personally.

The County Health services told us 4 weeks prior as well. They also recommended the Typhus. We are waiting to see if DHs Dr will give us the ok for him to get his!!!!

I don't know how many here read the community board. I posted on a thread there last night and this morning. My views/opinions were in the minority. There were a few posters that shared my views. One of those posters made a pretty nasty (racist) comment to another poster.

Well it seems, that some DISers now think I'm posting under two names and that I'm the person who made the nasty remarks.

I just wanted to let you all know that I did not make nor do I agree with those comments. In the 7 years that I've been on the DIS I've only had one name.

I started a thread on the community board to try to clear things up. I also PMed the person that was insulted.

At this point I don’t know what else I can do.

I never post on the Community board anymore. Got such snitty replies once. Stay here with us DJ....

Liz should be in the friendly skies on her way to Phoenix. Here is the weather.

Currently 78 partly cloudy high near 90. Unfortunately we have poor air quality due to brush fires and controlled burns here.

We had a nice meet. Liz showed up alone as DH couldn't get home in time, Esteri and her DH George and Laura and Steve. I left at 12 and now will drive to Brandon for Mothers Day lunch with Mom and DS is tagging along as well. She doesn't know yet so it will be a surprise. He lost around close to 30 lbs and since she was always on his case about his weight she will be thrilled. Just hope he got her a card. Now don't talk too much. 10 pages this am

DH knows alot about his relatives that came here from Germany.

Me...I'm a mutt on both sides somewhat but i know my maternal great great grandmother came through Ellis Island.

We have to leave 45 mins before Mass starts to get there.....

On Sunday i get to the gym between 8-9 and then do a Body Pump Class (weights) till 10. Our parish has a 9 and an 11am mass so if i motor back from the gym and get a quick shower i can make it most weeks

I used to like Sat night mass but ours is at 4pm which is just a little too early. 5 would be better since that's usually when i remember that i could have gone. (or should have.)

One thought for that Sunday, it might be a good day to try for the couple's brunch (although that title seems to exclude out solo travellers...). Kinda the go to Mass then to brunch....?

Hmmm i like that...Anyone want to put in for the private room for that day too?

Kissimmee Police Searching For Persons Of Interest In Gas Theft


KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- A pair of thieves rigged a Kissimmee gas pump and stole thousands of dollars worth of gas over a four-hour period.

Kissimmee police released surveillance video of the scheme that happened at a Citgo station on Michigan Avenue in April. The men moved more than 25 cars through the pump after tampering with the device that regulates how much gas flows through it.

Police say the suspects may have even acted like attendants and taken cash from customers.

"I'm shocked. There is a lot that goes on in this neighborhood, but I didn't think people would actually figure out how to do that," said Veronica Morales, a gas station customer.

Police also released photos of two men they are calling persons of interest in the case. Anyone who has information is asked to call the Kissimmee Police Department.

Considering we are tendering its very tight, DCL will have small boats take us form the magic to the shore, they put on the Disney shore trips first and you have to go to the Buena vista theater to pick up a tender ticket this could take 30 mins or so. You will need to go early to the BVT, to get one of the first tenders, it will be tight.

I think I have seen that time there fo a long time, as I booked my private tour for 9.30am, thats orgainsed by DCL.

I booked my current tour through cabosanlucastours.net and I called them to find out about cancelling. They said that this would not be a problem and that I should wait a bit in case DCL changes their time again. I think I might end up booking my tour with DCL instead??? The only problem is that DCL has set 10 as the minimum age for their Zip tours. My DS will only be 9 1/2 - will someone actually check? It seems that DCL is using Cabo Adventure for this tour. Cabo Adventure has set 8 as their minimum age. I called them and they said that my son will be fine. I'm not sure what I should do.

Disney won't allow your son on the shore excursion
It has to do with their contract and insurance
They have his age from the birthday you provided when you booked the reservation. You can always check when you board but it will not allow you to book it online

As Cookie Mom for our Brownie troop, I'm glad our biggest seller was only 135! Cookie pick up was at our house in the midst of the vomit virus X6 in my family. Thousands of boxes would have sent me over the edge !

She gets the certificate but you deserve a pat on the back too!

When you book a tour thru the DCL ..if your child does not meet the age requirement..it doesn't even give you an option of checking the box for the excursion for them. It says child does not meet age requirements. hope this helps!

Happy thought for the day...TOAL is saving us money!!

I just addded together the money we go through for day camp, gas, groceries, and parking 2 cars downtown. I'm not going to pay for any of those things for more than 2 weeks!

What I'm saving more than pays for our plane tickets!
