:rotfl2: :rotfl2: a real post.:rotfl2:

Congrats Dan :cheer2:  :cheer2:

40 sec. rule got me.:rolleyes1

Congrats on the pirate Dan! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the pirate!

Hmm... I guess a pirate stole it! :rotfl2:

That's ok..usually...I'm not even close!

Congrats Swabbie.:cool1: pirate: pirate:

Argghhh!!!!

The funny thing is - last year before the Med cruise I would play the pirate game, but this time around I've stayed pretty much oblivious to it (things have been pretty busy). So not only was this one completely by accident, it wasn't until I read these posts that I actually realized what happened.

Sort of nice though - I'd miss going on the cruise and not having at least one pirate pirate:

GIVE NOTHING BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm exhausted...barely got to fold two loads of laundry... I am in the process of trying to replace my car and deald with DD and try to pull together and PIF. I managed to get a few phone calls in tonight though that i had been meaning to do.

UGGG...time for bed...

I need to go soonnnnnnnn Good Night Kristina

Good night everyone..........Have a great day tomorrow.:thumbsup2

BTW -
Talking about books for kids - have any of you read the Piers Anthony "Xanth" series? Fantasy - they've been around for awhile - I ended up reading them too!!!

Also, "The Dragon Riders of Pern" series - can't remember the author at the moment.

My kids and grandkids and I all enjoy the same books!!

Someone already came back with Anne MacCafferey.

Here's another book series for the tweens.... Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. A 12 year old boy genius criminal who discovers the Faerie world. It's really quite funny. Great books - I think there are 5 of them. DS11 loves them.

Roger - I LOVE this picture. Can I get a full size copy for my wallpaper? Seriously.

So despite Crash's psychotic, umm psychiatric advice, I called for a doc appointment at the Army hospital. Here is the conversation I had about an hour ago after pressing 1, then 4, then 1, then 7, and entering DHs social:

Operator: {grumble, chomp, slurp} Appoinmen....

...

Huh. When we were there we were able to use our Tricare at a civilian doctor. Of course it was 10 years ago. And we lived way outside the beltway (Haymarket). You can't go to a civilian doc any more?

Sunday is our daughter Jordan's 18th birthday.....she has forbidden any talk of Mother's Day for the entire day. I guess it doesn't matter to her that I had just a little to do with her being here in the first place. :sad1:

Anyway.....dinner reservations and a party after. I'll just pretend it's all for me. ;)

You know, on my birthday - I'm expected to call my mother and thank her for laborin on my behalf.

Monica - you might have something there - I know I'm in the minority about thinking cooking is fun!!! I was asked once if I'd consider being a personal chef for some folks - it was just after I gave up my catering business.

DH was a Personal Chef when DS6 was an infant. He drug the baby around with him everywhere. Then DS6 got mobile and that was the end of that. :rotfl2:

I'm a big foodie. When we eat out, DH usually challenges me to 'crack' the recipe if it is something we really like. I play at home and usually make a reasonable facsimile by the 2nd attempt.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: DH loves doing this too. Yet more to discuss at the Interchangable Sk8ingmom-Esteri family table. Our kids are going to feel like instant siblings.

.

Well I'm off to the seamstress tomorrow. I have 2 dresses that need some "help". Since my intentions of losing any weight went down the tubes  I hope they can do something with this one to make it larger.

Then I also have a similar, maroon, strapless number that needs hemming and a little taking in.

I remember you showing us that one...I like it!!

I've been back and forth to the seamstress lately, too. And I have three more items to take tomorrow. After that, I hope I'm done. I never lost the weight I wanted to, either. Oh well. At least I won't have to worry about gaining it all back on the cruise! ;)

I just about died laughing when I saw you got the pirate: like that!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Priceless!

Well goody....all caught up and talking to myself. How embarrassing.

:)

When I was 18..I worked in a flower shop..I decided on my birthday..I would send my Mom flowers as a "thank you". 24 years later....I still do it every year. She always seems surprised but I would think after 24 years.."How could she be?" :confused3

So, I was sitting at my desk and suddenly there was this loud rattling sound - a low vibration and what sounded like wind. I opened the window - big mistake. The lights went out. There was this giant roar. I staggered backwards as a giant funnel cloud entered the room with the force of an F5 tornado and siphoned money from one of my credit cards. I reached forward to grab it, but it was too late - the funds were gone.

Still dizzy, I'm even now struggling to catch my breath. I know I may never recover from the trauma of the experience, but I know that time will heal this. Time, and the sure knowledge that I am now paid in full.....

LOL!
I went thru the same sort of situation today.. we're paid in full as of today also! :) :)

Ofcourse we have to pay the credit card off but we can pay most of it now and if DH keeps getting overtime like he has lately- we'll have it paid off soon. *fingers crossed*

Not sure..DCL said (I think thats what I read) that it will be in place as of the end of the WB? I may be wrong tho..
Oh bummer.
I'm a little at my wit's end now in semi-panic wondering how I'm gonna figure out what all we want to do (excursions/etc.) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crunch time soon. I wonder if we break disneycruiseline.com on that day. LOL remind me- what time is it that we can start booking online?

I posted the poll and no one's voting....:confused3

where is the poll? I'm so lost... I don't know where to find it!
Oh and we're interested in the brunch BUT someone has to remind us. Last cruise we had the free brunch all booked (reas) and totally forgot about it until days later. LOL

I had a really good time today, although I am exhausted tonight! There was about a 90 minute bus ride to and from Stamford, CT, a program on a beautiful 3 masted schooner for three hours while sailing in Long Island Sound, lunch, and then another program on the beach involving tagging live wild horseshoe crabs so that their movements can be studied (apparently one they tagged last summer traveled all the way up and over Long Island and ended up in New York Harbor). We also collected samples of plankton and looked at them under microscopes.

I took lots of pictures, especially of my daughter (although I don't know when I will find the time to load them to the computer!) and the weather was beautiful . . . the time on the schooner was really relaxing.

You can see the schooner and read about some of their programs here:

http://www.soundwaters.org/schooner/index.shtml

sounds like a great day

Actually it's pretty simple when dealing with credit card companies. Just figure out what would end up costing you the most - that's what the credit card company will do.

Dan was this a planned sneak attack?

Take What You Can !!
