Good Morning :surfweb:

All the pitcures of the First Communion's were lovely - thanks for sharing.

I didn't realize there was a DIS tour group for Catagena being planned - I just thought someone was looking for his info - oops. I wasn't even going to get off the ship, but then I was reading how highly recommended he comes so I am going to go for it. DH doesn't want to do a "big" group thing so I guess I can't play with you all :sad1: BTW, the walking tour with Cristian Martinez gets pretty bad reviews on Cruisecritic. Seems he was a no-show for a couple of people.

Monica - I read your post a coule of days back and wanted to say I am so glad you are still going to be able to make the TOAL

Congrats to all of you that were able to get booked what you wanted at the 105 day mark and Pixie Dust to those that were dissapointed pixiedust: . Honestly, I don't put much faith in being able to book anything at the 90 day mark. There are just so many of us repeat cruisers that are going to be accessing the site at the same time, and DCL's site being what it is :headache: ..... OK, I'll stop being Eyeore now :eeyore: :eeyore:

Mary Ann....you (and family!) are more than welcome to come with us Moms. We booked a Pool & Beach Getaway. It's with DCL, so I don't know how the booking will go, or if it will be a big crowd......it sounds like EVERYONE ELSE will be going with Mr Emerald! ;)

In the past week, someone was mentioning a children's book author that was similar style to Harry Potter but a summer camp for children of Greek gods. Ring a bell with anyone? I thought the poster said the author was Percy Jackson but I looked at the bookstore today and on the library catalogue and don't come up with anything for this author. Have I got the name correct or can someone give me a title to work with? thanks...

The author is Rick Riordan. The character is Percy Jackson (took me a little to figure it out! :) ) We picked up the first book, The Lightening Thief, yesterday for my DD...she started reading it about 4pm our time and ha trouble putting it down..she loves it. Unfortunately, she is already 300 pages into it and almost down and asking when she can get book 2! :rotfl:

At our book store it was $7.99

Thank you, will pass it on, Dont you sleep?

About 6 hours. You'll find me walking around the ship late at night, taking pictures when no one is around to walk in front of my camera....and then you'll find me with a cup of coffee early the next morning.
Besides.....

I'M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!!! ;)

:thumbsup2 Thanks.... I have a van rented, but with a one-way drop off I have to take it to the Orange County airport, transfer all our stuff and then have Super Shuttle take us to San Pedro. I'm thinking of going back to my local Enterprise (who charges an extra $300 for one-way) to see if I can bargain with them.

My sister is coming from Chandler...we rented her a car thru Alamo..no extra charge for one-way. She is dropping it off near Disneyland.

Well if you are full of life, there is little time to sleep!:thumbsup2

There were several places that I could easily rent a car, but we need a full-size van...so that's where I ended up being limited. Five women, all that luggage, and all that wine!!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Desiree. I've put the book on hold at our Library for DS.

I wish my DD would let me borrow those kind of books from the library! She re-reads them so many times the covers come off! Each summer tho..she does participate in the reading program at our local library. I have never seen a kid who likes to read so much!

Another thought. Anyone that is thinking about taking a water taxi from the marina, can have them take you for a quick ride over to see the Arch, Sea Rock and Lovers beach. I would expect for a couple extra dollars they are happy to do this. Would not want anyone to miss out on the arch.

Does anyone know how about how many people the water taxi holds? I figure if we have enough interest to fill a water taxi and everyone onboard wanted to swing out past Los Arcos and Sea Lion rock, and then head over to the beach, the taxi pilot(?) would probably be happy to do it. And we can get our photo-op without wasting a big chunk of time right in the middle of the day doing the DCL excursion.

This is a picture of one posted on an earlier thread they do not look like the hold a lot of people.

When I was on princess we had bigger tenders, a different company

G'evenin' pirate:s. I biked 30 miles today, now I'm sitting on the deck with a well deserved (ifIdosaysomyself) beer.

:thumbsup2

DS9 made the travel hockey team - twice the money, three times the time commitment - YAY. DS7 is still waiting to hear.

Woohoo! Congrats!

Deanna - I didn't quote it, but beautiful! Just beautiful!

So sad. I can't imagine the rollercoaster that horse's "family" went through over 10 minutes.

:rotfl2:
They ain't Disney for nothin'

Oh, that is so why I don't book DCL excursions.

My excuse for not ironing - dryer and a damp towel.

Works everytime! Why bother ironing anyway? As soon as you sit down, you're a wrinkled mess anyway! ;)

Wrong flower, but for some reason I'm now humming Everything's Comin' Up Roses

Wine van?? I don't know what it is, but SIGN ME UP!

:lmao: So glad I'm not the only one!

:)

Happy Monday Everyone !! We survived the week-end !!

Hey M, how many more Mondays till TOAL ?

Look at that concentration!!! :goodvibes

Well my FIL & BIL just left and Chuck & I are a little concerned about something.............Chuck's Dad is suppose to come and stay here while we are on TOAL. We just found out he is on Morphine every 4 hours & other strong medicines that's why the brother drove.:rolleyes1

Chuck's Dad doesn't look well. another piece of info. that some don't know, while WE were on the Magic in Aug. 06 my MIL passed away. We found out the morning we arrived in port.

It's hard to talk about with DH , seems so fresh still with what happened to his Mom. I don't think Chuck's Dad is in any condition to be here to take care of Dante. Not to mention we are VERY concerned about him and leaving.:sad2: :sad2:

Just don't know what to do........ I can't put Dante in boarding, last trip we came back he was really stressed and had no voice because he barked the entire time we were gone.

The newest member of the Northern Virginia Ice Dogs Squirt A travel team now has a 101.2 fever. The advantages of a sick kid - I'm getting stuff done!

Great pics! Now that is a look of pride! :lovestruc

Finally ketched up. BUT, I have to go to work now, UGH.

Something exciting happened in our household today.

My DH left early this morning for a business trip out of state and my DS16 missed the bus because DD14 put away all the shoes yesterday and he couldn't find his...:confused3 :confused3. But, because DH is gone, I couldn't leave DD3 and DD10 here alone. So, we didn't know what to doooo, until...well....

Well, DS16 just got his DRVIERS LICENSE last week. So I told him to go ahead and take my van! :scared1: :scared1:

So, it was the first time he drove alone. He called me when he got there to say he made it! WHEW! Exciting stuff. (School is only about 1 mile away, so not too far.) He is a fairly timid guy and hasn't even asked if he could go anywhere on his own yet. So this was a good opportunity to push him a little as we really had no choice!

Sounds like my house! Glad DS made it safe & sound! :thumbsup2

In our church, the kids who haven't received FC yet can come up and our minister will put her hand on their head and give them a blessing. At my grandmother's funeral, because we were pall bearers, my brother and I were in a row behind my parents, Linda and the kids, and my brother's girlfriend. Hailey asked if she could go up for a blessing at communion. Since it wasn't our church, we told her not to go up. Somehow, she ended up in the line in front of my Mom. Linda and I realized it as we were a few people back and she reached the minister. We breathed a little sigh of relief as we saw her shake her head no. Then the next thing we knew, she was taking the wafer! At that point, it wouldn't have done us any good to yell, so we just walked back to the pew. She had the wafer in her mouth for at least 5 minutes, and that look on her face a whole lot longer! She actaually brought a smile to my face on such a sad day, because i could just picture my grandmother looking down on her and laughing her butt off.

:lmao:

Well...I am all caught up..and it's time to start my DD school day...Have a great morning!

I paid with my Disney Visa last Thursday. It is showing up as processed on the credit card. The reservation online still shows BOOKED as status. Does this change when it is paid in full? Doen't want any mix ups before the May 19date. I do show up as a Castaway Club member on the site and on the planning material we finally received. So I should be OK to book on the 19th.

I figured all of you that are also PIF would know.

DSL will always show booked online. The only way to verify PIF is through your TA or by calling if you booked directly with DCL.

I use DU, so on their website it will say PIF, but you can call DCL, just for peace of mind.
