HI, Lisa,

I have been around each day posting, trying to keep up, this thread has increased speed again and hard to keep up or see posts sometimes, But have posted each day.

Alice is at guide camp all weekend, a bank holiday weekend here, for a change, and Stephen has been on xbox 360 with his friend now playing outside on his cycle, I had to pay for extensive repairs on that earlier this week,

Counting down for our booking night and the following week Disneyland Paris.

It has been hard to keep up the past few days. I must have missed your posts with my speed reading.

It's funny, I haven't met most of the people here, but find myself thinking about them during the day, or wondering if they're ok when I haven't noticed any posts.

I am trying to balance the argument in my mind, ( no jokes please),

To go with DCL, or go on my own,

If we were in port at a sensible time, I would do Acapulco on my own, Last time we had Cici water park at 2pm, so I had the whole morning to kill, did the market ourselves and hen went to the post office, posted some cards and had a walk around.

I want to do the fort this time, but with everything opening up 9.30am ish, the time we have in port is wasted a lot,

The fort is sooo close, just a footbridge, and why book a DCL trip when you can walk it yourself, and walk to the market, I presume the tour operators will get everyone out of bed earlier.

So was trying to get more info to decide, still in the balance.

I'm wrestling with the same decision !

Just what time PST should we be watching the cams next week and what are the links? We need Veranda Man (Andy). Boy, I miss his posts.

Ahhhhhh, thanks how sweet of you...........:goodvibes  :goodvibes

Life has been busy, with work, getting Angelina ready for graduation and her party, getting her signed up to start Massage Therapy School in September, and oh yeah, I now have less than two years until my projected 5/1/2010 retirement date........:dance3:

As I shared with Arlene in my PM reply to her, I wish everyone here a most MAGICal cruise in August, sorry again we couldn't join you, but life throws curves at us from time to time, we just have to learn to roll with the punches.

Congrats on your large credit card bill statement! I hope you find it 'interesting'' but not to high interesting.

Congrats on PIF.:thumbsup2

Well here's the really cool part. My brother, who is cruising with us, owed me some money from last year. I asked him if instead of making the payment to me, he would make the payment to the cruise. I was expecting him to make a large payment to the cruise & then I was going to pay off the remainder. He paid off the full amount !!

How cool is he ?:cool2:

Busy day here, so I may not be on much:

Laurie, you gave to my site right after reading my PM, and everyone else has NOT be anonymous, so I knew it was you! Thanks again. And I promise not to run at you with the tarantula at Pancho's . . .;)

Congrats to everyone now PIF!

Hi Andy -- we do miss you around here . . .

Sounds like you have a generous buffer in there to me . . . on a sea day with no spa treatment you will likely spend only a little for drinks or a bingo card, etc., so then you have extra for other days if need be. Just don't forget to have some cash on hand for when you are in port . . .
I'm planning to pick up the local currency ahead of time, but not sure how much I'll need:confused3

I just got the mail.
I already have the girls passports! :cool1:
Exactly 9 days. Amazing! Sure hope no one pays for expediated service.
We got ours in 9 days too:woohoo:

I did not tip that much extra on Palo either but I did get the stink eye. I thought it included the tip and left about $10-$15.00 more but I defintely got the feeling I was being cheap.

It is ''your discretion' and therefore you should never feel cheap / or given the eye, and extra $10>$15 seems fine to me, I basically as a min 'double' the fee, sometimes more for very very good service, but its totally up to you.

I tip extra in Palo because I had read that not all of the fee goes to the server. I think how much extra someone tips kinda depends a bit on what they can comfortably afford. Some folks are on a tighter budget than others and the smart CMs know that.

If a score a hammock, I'm taking it in the water with me, and to the bathroom. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I have been busy trying to locate the queasy pops that someone mentioned a couple of days ago. They are not available and can not be shipped to Canada. I was able to find a place that sells the Preggie Pops. They said that they are exactly the same thing. I will have to make sure that there is no label on them when I try to give them to my "sea sick" prone husband :rotfl2:
:lmao: :lmao:

I was going to stop by, but I've been feeling awful since Tuesday, so I'm off to bed.
Darren hasn't felt well this past week either:confused3 He's better today (off mowing the lawn). Hope you feel better soon too:flower3:

I assume that is a rhetorical question?

 :thumbsup2

I do agree, its each to their own on tips, and people do interpret it differently, occasionally it turns out to be a contest on the main forum, either who can tip the most ( called super tippers) or who feels its included, ( not sure of a name for that?).

Anyway, above the service charge its your discretion, many people do tip above as that goes to the CM direct, they are on the same wage structure as servers in the restaurants, a Palo server told me that in 2007. So not much.

If you enjoy the service, think about an extra tip, the consensus of posts I have read is 'double the service fee' so $15 service fee, $15 tip. Some people do more, ( and claim a lot more) some people do not tip, Up to you.

I just wanted to back you up and reassure Coral and others not to stress over the Palo tip:goodvibes
I've been posting less and less on the main boards because of some of the more hostile posts I've seen over there:sad2:
Just seems safer here;)

But no Quest? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Uh-huh.... Further evidance that those kids'll be doing our dishes.

;)

Yes on both counts, Palo, do not stress, do what you want, if you want a guide $10>$15pp is the average range, you should need to do more than that.

Yes main forum is hostile at times and, everyone is entitled to their views, a few have very strong views. Its fine to have a debate, as long as people do not chase you around having a 'snipe' at anything you post, when you are only trying to help.

Dont worry over Palo, you decide.

Kind of blew us out of the water as well..........but I think the fact that Hazel's brother (who is a few months younger than me) suffered what is believed to be a mild heart attack the other day, got Lina thinking a little bit about how important family really is.
