This may not be what you're expecting...
... TWO main points. As you cited you're under 40 and in good health... and trip insurance is a fair decision when you have someone older and or with chronic or... or potentially unstable health conditions. However - for the other folks consider... are you planning on doing so high risk shore excursions? Are you accident prone? Your your travel plans conservative with arrival a day or more early and return flights a day or more AFTER we dock in Florida? And ... is the financial reserve currently maintained (or earning power) such that travel disruption or emergencies would bust the bank? Granted - the wildly unexpected could happen to anyone anytime... but it tends not to happen regularly.
As such in point one - barring unusual circumstances with heightened risk - I generally do without trip insurance.
Point two, if travel emergencies and disruptions threaten to break the bank - but the cost of travel insurance is affordable - then you might want it for PEACE of mind. Circumstances will vary in justifying or discouraging this.
Now - exactly how much was this travel insurance going to cost you?![]()
I gotta go now.... we're meeting friends to see the NIM Adventure movie - then we're off for that working farm with the Daisey Troop and friends. I'll try to post pictures to share later.
That has always been my idea, we don't really need it as we are in good health etc. We always come in a day or two early and if we miss the flight home, it won't bankrupt us. That is why I was thinking the medical evacuation might be the only thing we need. It was about $350 for all 7 of us. I didn't think that was too bad just to cover an extreme emergency.
All of our parents are in the low 60's and in good health too, so an emergency with them would have a low chance of occurance. What to do? What to do?
